Chapter 463 She Protects Him

Facing such a domineering declaration of sovereignty. The man not only showed no sign of retreat but instead laughed.

His upturned eyes, accompanied by the curve of his smile, appeared even more aggressive, "Just you?"

"With those skinny arms and legs, you dare to compete with me?"

"A twenty-one-year-old kid, do you even know what love is?" The man pointed behind him.

"Don't make me laugh."

"Instead of wasting time saying these things to me, why don't you go inside and see what kind of place it is, and by the way, ask the man you just kissed how much he spent hiring a few escorts." The man chattered constantly.

This was blatant provocation. Anyone slightly immature or whose trust in each other wasn't strong enough would inevitably start arguing because of these words.

Moreover, it was true that Joshua had entered the bar and spent money. If he claimed he spent so much money and did nothing, few would believe it. The man clearly had this in mind.

However, his calculation missed the mark.

"No, Hill, listen to me." Joshua didn't even know why he blurted out this sentence. Joshua didn't react at all; it was almost instinctive to want to explain his purpose and what had just happened to Hill.

But on second thought. Why should he explain to Hill? He must be afraid Hill would leave him to this man, so subconsciously he wanted to get closer to Hill. It must be that. Joshua comforted himself with this thought.

Hill looked at him with her beautiful eyes. She waited for a while, raising an eyebrow.

"So where's your explanation? That's it?" Hill asked surprisingly

Joshua awkwardly said, "You really want to hear it?"

"What else?" Hill shrugged.

"In TV shows, isn't it always the male lead saying 'let me explain,' and then the female lead covers her ears and shouts 'I don't want to hear it, I don't want to hear it'?" Joshua asked somewhat foolishly.

Hill frowned, bending her middle finger and thumb and flicking his forehead, "Our story isn't that melodramatic."

Joshua coughed and roughly recounted what had just happened. Before Hill could speak, the man said, "You can't be that easily fooled, right? What man would admit to cheating?"

"I know what kind of person he is better than you do." Hill looked at him coldly. "Do you think I would trust you, some idiot who came out of nowhere, over my boyfriend?"

The man thought, 'Feeling a bit offended.'

Joshua thought, 'Being called a boyfriend feels a bit weird.'

The man was somewhat angry: "Who are you calling an idiot?"

Hill couldn't be bothered to respond and directly grabbed Joshua's wrist. Her slender body walked ahead, her back straight, looking so determined.

Joshua stared blankly at the back of her head, his expression somewhat dazed, 'Hill trusts me like that?'

"I allowed you to leave?" The man quickly stepped forward, blocking Hill's path.

Joshua snapped out of it, anxiously saying, "Do you have no shame? Are you so desperate for customers?"

"I've set my sights on you. No matter what, I'm taking you with me today." The man walked towards Joshua fearlessly, completely ignoring Hill. At worst, he'd get thrown out again.

Hill's eyes narrowed slightly, a strong killing intent swirling in her gaze. If Luann were standing here at this moment, she would surely notice that Hill had already decided to kill. She was just holding back.

"Touch him, and you'll see," Hill said each word clearly.

The man didn't hesitate and grabbed Joshua's shoulder, "Let's see then."

Hill's lips curved into a somewhat enchanting smile. The next second, she grabbed the man's collar and lifted him. His feet left the ground.

Hill executed a fierce over-the-shoulder throw, slamming the man's face into the ground. This time, she didn't hold back at all.

The man's head hit the ground heavily, a buzzing sound in his brain.

As soon as Hill's foot landed on his back, the man began to beg for mercy, "Spare me, spare me."

She pressed down with her toe, the sensation sharp and piercing. Like a knife stabbing into the man's heart.

Like a knife stabbing into the man's heart. It was excruciating.

At this moment, the man finally realized that Hill had initially given him a warning.

Joshua stood not far away, dumbfounded as he watched the 5-foot-7 Hill subdue the over 6-foot man.

"Amazing," Joshua murmured.

"So cool." Joshua rarely envied others, but at this moment, looking at Hill's back, he saw her through a hero's lens.

Since he was a child, he had wanted to be a good martial artist. With one official duty after another piling up, that thought had been shelved.

Today, it was suddenly awakened.

"Hey, let's go," Hill said.

Joshua responded twice, wiped the drool from the corner of his mouth, and eagerly followed Hill.

He was like a little follower, slightly bent over, one question after another popping out.

"How did you learn those martial arts?"

"How can you live without some skills?" Hill replied calmly.

"That over-the-shoulder throw just now was so cool. Can you teach me?"

"With your current physique, you can't throw anyone."

"Is it too late for me to start training at my age?" Joshua chattered.

Hill looked at him with a half-smile, "You're 24, not 64. That question makes no sense."

"Hey, wait, how do you know I'm 24? Did I tell you before?" Joshua chuckled, scratching his head.

Hill looked away, "You did."

"Oh, I forgot." He grabbed Hill's arm and looked at it.

Under the streetlight, Hill's arm appeared somewhat pale.

Joshua squeezed it.

"It's strange, why don't you have those big, scary muscles? Instead, you have such slender arms and legs. It's amazing."

Joshua marveled. He had always been afraid to work out, fearing he'd develop those big, bulky muscles, which didn't fit his aesthetic.

Hill frowned, "You don't need to ask so many questions. If you really want to learn, just spend half an hour running and doing simple exercises every day."

Joshua immediately retorted, "But what if I want to be like you?"

Hill was puzzled, "Why do you want to be like me? With me protecting you, that's enough"
