Chapter 86 Applying Medicine for Her
There were many people at the elevator.
Holly's petite body was squeezed in the crowd, her face rubbing desperately against the backs of others, but she couldn't squeeze in.
After waiting in line for three rounds, it was finally Holly’s turn.
She took a step forward, but the next second, she was bumped and stumbled a few steps, almost falling down.
Only the elevator that could fit one more person was entered by a man who spat out something vulgar.
His face was full of provocation.
Holly’s anger was instantly ignited.
"Didn't your mother teach you to wait for your turn??!"
“You’re cutting in so aggressively, why don’t you hurry up and just drop dead already?!”
The man scratched his ear, his face full of disdain, and reached out to press the door close button.
Bang!
A hand firmly stopped the elevator doors from closing.
Holly looked up in surprise and saw Luann's little white-faced Eddy standing beside her, his beautiful peach blossom eyes dangerously narrowed.
"You have three seconds to get out."
However, facing Eddy’s warning, the man didn’t take it seriously.
After all, what could this pampered young master, who looked clean and powerless, do?
Eddy lowered his gaze.
With a light smile, he radiated a hint of cruelty. He grabbed the man by his collar and, with astonishing strength that amazed everyone, forcefully dragged him out and threw him over his shoulder, slamming him into a corner of the wall.
Holly hadn't even reacted yet, and the arrogant man was already on the ground, howling in pain.
"What are you standing there for? Get in," Eddy's hand landed on Holly's shoulder, pushing her inside.
The smooth and warm touch of his fingertips made her heart skip a beat.
"This elevator can't fit more than two..."
Before the word "people" could be completely spoken, Holly was turned around by Eddy and shoved into his embrace.
"?"
As the elevator doors closed, it began descending.
Eddy lowered his head and glanced at the woman's head, unable to resist resting his chin on top of it.
"Tsk!"
Holly immediately expressed her dissatisfaction.
As soon as they exited the elevator, she promptly pushed Eddy away.
"Didn't expect you, a pretty boy, to have some skills."
Eddy was about to retort, but remembering Myron's instructions, he swallowed all his frustrations.
"What brings you out here?"
"Buying food."
"Coincidentally, I'm also going to buy food. Why don't we go together? I drove here, so it's convenient and fast."
Holly thought about it and agreed.
If she had to run there and back on her own, it would take at least an hour. It was better to hitch a ride for free.
There was not much of a difference between mooching off alone or with two people.
"Let's go."
Seeing Holly get in the car, Eddy's lips curled up into a victorious smile.
What a great buddy.
I've helped you save quite a bit of time!
...
The sound of breathing echoed in Luann's ears.
The words that Myron blurted out got stuck in his throat.
He slowly stood up, his expression returning to the usual coldness and indifference.
"It's nothing," he said, wanting to act spoiled.
Just that.
"Oh..." Luann found Myron strange.
"What about Miss Holly?" Myron asked, knowingly.
"She went out to buy food," Luann replied.
Myron nodded and sat on the nearby chair, as if he had no intention of leaving.
Luann stared at him in confusion for a while before speaking up.
"You..."
"I..."
They spoke at the same time.
Luann cleared her throat.
After all, he was technically her husband.
Wouldn't it be impolite to kick someone out so openly?
"You go ahead," she said.
Myron took out a small bottle from his pocket, about the size of his fist. As soon as it was exposed to the air, a strong medicinal fragrance filled the room.
"What's this?" Luann asked.
"Ointment, it will help with your foot injury," Myron said, lifting the blanket.
A pair of small, white, and smooth feet lay still there, with rounded nails painted a light pink. The right ankle was still a bit swollen.
"I'll apply it for you."
Luann hesitated.
"Alright..."
After Myron finished, he went to wash his hands and took out two pieces of tissue, placing them on the side. He scooped out a large chunk of ointment, rubbed it between his hands, and slowly covered her ankle.
The coldness of his hands made Luann shiver.
Myron's movements were somewhat clumsy, and he struggled to control his strength. It was his first time doing something like this. All Myron could do was try to be as gentle as possible, recalling the massage techniques he had been taught.
Luann gazed at Myron's handsome profile, captivated by his serious and attentive demeanor.
It momentarily left her speechless. His hands gradually grew warmer, matching her body temperature. Sensing Luann's gaze, Myron lifted his head slightly. His deep and bottomless dark eyes met her black eyes. In his eyes, there was only room for Luann, and nothing else.
His deep affection for her was evident, openly presented to her in this moment.
Luann's heart skipped a beat. "Sss..." The sudden force made Luann gasp in pain. Myron's hand trembled, filled with frustration and obvious panic. "I'm sorry. I hurt you," he apologized.
Shaking her head, Luann wrinkled her nose as the scent of medicine rushed in. "Does it feel any better?" As he applied the ointment, it felt icy hot.
But after a few minutes, it gradually turned cool. The two temperatures intertwined, relieving the pain to a large extent.
Two nurses passing by outside stopped in their tracks, peering inside through the glass on the door. "Wow, they're so lucky!"
"That man really cherishes his wife. The patient's injuries aren't that serious, but he's so concerned."
“His wife said she wanted to go outside for some fresh air yesterday, and he carried her down.”
"So jealous!"
"Why the envy? He married such a beautiful wife, surely he worries every day!"
"Let's go, we’re being too loud! "
Unaware of the conversation outside, the two inside gradually mastered the technique and pressure, maximizing the effectiveness of the ointment. Luann watched Myron's actions and knew that it was almost done. But this guy was still lingering.
"It doesn't hurt anymore," Luann spoke up first.
Myron uttered a soft "Hmm" and casually wiped his hands with a tissue.
“Thank you.”
"No problem," he replied, but showed no intention of leaving.
...
The car drove down the road. The cool breeze blowing on their faces was very pleasant.
Eddy raised an eyebrow, somewhat showing off. "How about enjoying a drive at night? It's not bad, right?"
Holly sat beside him expressionless, tightly gripping the bag in her hand, afraid to lose control and dump the food on his head.
A couple walking hand in hand on the side of the road looked at them with surprise as they silently increased their pace and overtook the sports car.
Holly took a deep breath and burst out, "Eddy! You're too slow!"
Eddy turned to look at her, his eyes twinkling mischievously. "It's not good for a man to be too fast."
