Chapter 469 Two Faces

In the kitchen, a deathly silence prevailed, with Adolph standing frozen, not daring to move.

He was exposed.

"You recognized me a long time ago, didn't you?" Myron's words sounded like a question. But his tone was full of certainty.

Back outside RH, when Adolph approached to fight him for the Pink Star, he had instantly recognized him even with the mask change.

Moreover, Luann had been making waves recently, dragging him into the global art scene.

Even Williams had sought him out.

Myron didn't believe for a second that Adolph hadn't seen any of the videos or heard any news.

If he had seen the videos, Adolph would have recognized him immediately.

From the moment they entered, he and Adolph had exchanged more than one glance.

Yet, Adolph remained calm, without a hint of suspicion or surprise in his eyes.

Clearly, he had known who Myron was all along.

Adolph awkwardly rubbed his nose, catching a strong scent of dish soap.

He frantically shook his hand, noticing a small bit of foam on his nose.

He hadn't expected his little trick to be discovered by Myron so quickly.

Indeed, Myron's guess was spot on.

Adolph had known early that Myron was F and that he might have some connection to the mysterious RH.

He didn't say anything because he wanted to play a small prank on Myron.

After all, Myron had once beaten him so badly that he broke a rib.

Not holding back at all, treating him like an outsider.

"So what if I did?" Adolph straightened his back. "What can you do to me? Luann is here. If you dare touch me, you'll have to deal with this trouble," Adolph said.

Before he could finish, Myron had already set the milk aside and was leisurely rolling up his sleeves.

A small, muscular forearm was revealed.

Without hesitation, he put it into the sink.

He picked up a bowl and started washing it.

Adolph was slightly stunned.

'Since when do my words bear such significance? Or is it that the name Luann is so effective that it scares Myron, who once kicked me without blinking an eye?' Adolph mused.

While he was still confused, Adolph's ears twitched slightly, catching a familiar sound of footsteps.

'Oh no.' Adolph surprised.

"Honey." The woman's footsteps were quick, taking two steps at a time, and she reached them in seconds.

Then, Luann peeked around.

"Is the milk not heated yet?" Luann asked.

Luann's words came to an abrupt halt.

She looked at Myron, who clearly had a severe case of OCD but was now diligently washing dishes, looking all dutiful and hardworking.

Her gaze instantly turned sinister.

She looked at Adolph, saying, "Adolph, I ask Myron to come down and heat the milk."

"And what do you do? You make him help you wash dishes?" Luann uttered constantly.

"If you think washing dishes alone is too tiring, you could have just said so. I would have helped you."

"Why did you take it all on yourself and then get Myron to help?"

"What you did is really unacceptable." Luann angered.

Adolph's mouth twitched slightly. He mumbled the unfinished thought in his mind: "Fell into the trap."

His voice was so low that Luann didn't hear it.

"What did you say?" Luann asked surprisingly.

Adolph shook his head repeatedly, "Nothing, I didn't ask him to wash. He volunteered to wash them. If you doubt my word, inquire of him directly."

Myron just looked at Luann with a hint of grievance in his eyes.

"Yes, I volunteered."

Adolph was dumbfounded.

The difference between these two faces was overwhelming.

He really wanted to show Luann the extremely cold face Myron had when they first met.

Luann became even more convinced of her thoughts.

"Adolph," Luann shouted.

Adolph trembled with fear, hastily defending himself, "Luann, don't always be so harsh on me. You know, Myron once kicked me and broke my rib. I was bedridden for a long time, and then he kept messing with me, even taking the Pink Star."

"I should have thought you would help me. Instead, you side with another man to attack me. I can't live like this."

Luann looked at his exaggerated performance with a blank expression.

She reminded him, "Elodie, the actress, is upstairs. You should take some acting lessons from her when you have time."

"Besides, weren't you the one who handed me over to Myron?"

"Have you forgotten about the masquerade bar incident?" Luann retorted.

Adolph deflated like a punctured balloon, immediately falling silent.

Myron spoke up at the right moment.

"Luann, don't blame Adolph."

"The injury was my fault."

"But at the time, I didn't know about your relationship, so..."

"I feel guilty and don't know how to make it up to Adolph."

"I originally planned to cook a good meal today, but my cooking skills are really bad."

"So I thought, secretly coming down to help Adolph wash the dishes would be good as well." Myron defended Adolph.

He curled his lips into a gentle smile, his face full of obedience and understanding.

Adolph clutched his chest with one hand and pointed at him with the other, not even caring about dirtying his clothes.

"Myron, How dare you say that." Adolph exclaimed.

Myron blinked, with a hint of provocation deep in his dark eyes.

Luann, feeling a headache coming on, said, "Alright, stop it, both of you. I'll wash. You two, stand aside."

"No." Adolph and Myron spoke in unison.

"Your hands can't touch water." The two spoke in unison again.

Their identical words made them glance at each other, and the next second, they quickly looked away as if electrocuted, both frowning.

Luann said calmly, "I don't have any cuts on my hands. Why can't I touch water?"

Myron said gently, "Your hands are fair and tender, with good skin. The detergent will harm your fingers."

Adolph shouted irritably, "Both of you, go upstairs now, okay? I'll wash the dishes. If anyone touches them, I'll chop off their hands."

Myron quickly dried his hands, picked up the milk, and hurriedly walked away with Luann.

Leaving Adolph alone in the kitchen, he rolled his eyes, Washing while muttering.

"I shouldn't have messed with Myron." Myron grunted.

"But, Myron gets so jealous. I really want to see him and Williams fight. It would be so exciting." Adolph seemed to have already envisioned that scene, his gloomy mood instantly lifted, humming a tune happily.

Then, he continued his work.
