Chapter 270 No Mercy

#Imposter#
[One day, a bird landed on a tree and found a woodpecker with a broken beak. It asked, "Woodpecker, what happened to your beak?" The woodpecker replied, "I accidentally broke it while trying to eat insects from the tree." The bird, puzzled, asked, "How is that possible? I've only heard of woodpeckers making holes in trees, not breaking their beaks." Curious, the bird then asked the tree, "Why is that?" The tree replied, "Because I have thick bark!"]
[Hilarious! But comparing Juliet's thick skin to a tree is unrealistic. It's more like her face is a fortress; otherwise, how could she shamelessly impersonate someone else?]
[Isn't that a bit harsh?]
[How is that harsh? An imposter is an imposter, disgusting! Get out of the entertainment circle!]
[I really can't understand how Luann ended up with such a sister.]
[The younger one is spoiled at home, isn't that normal?]
[Yes, my parents favor my sister more, so she's become really unruly, always blaming me for things she does wrong.]
[Only children don't understand your pain. Hugs to you all.]
[Luann was left in the countryside for eighteen years before being brought back; doesn't that say something?]
[Don't you think James is the most disgusting? What was the point of him posting that video?]
Everyone was reminded and suddenly realized that if it weren't for James' deliberately misleading video, they wouldn't have thought that Juliet sang the song.
[James has come out to explain, and I'm speechless after watching it. You should take a look.]
The top agent, James: [I'm so lucky to hear such a divine voice again. Last time I accidentally met Juliet and was amazed for a long time, so I hurriedly recorded it, intending to sign this singer, but who knew she left too quickly and I couldn't keep up. I never expected it to be Ms. Luann, what a coincidence~]
However, James' words only convinced some.
[What a load of crap!]
[You mean you didn't know it was Luann when you recorded it?]
[I see, James left himself a way out.]
[James and Juliet never said who the person in the video was, right? You guys are just making wild guesses.]
[Yeah, they just shared what they thought sounded good.]
[Juliet later released a song, didn't she? You should have all heard it. She didn't sing the song in the video she didn't sing, right? Why are you still arguing about this?]
[So, they just boosted Juliet's popularity for no reason?]
The internet was abuzz with discussion.
James placed his phone on the table, his face calm.
He looked at the woman in front of him and said, "Because of the private matters in your family, I and the company over there have pushed back the schedule a bit, so get ready these two days and go for the shoot."
"Oh, and remember to post this on Instagram."
Grace nodded, naturally understanding that James intended to use her situation to suppress Juliet's.
A hint of mockery flashed in her eyes, "It seems that James is planning to promote Juliet?"
"Whether she can become popular depends on her luck." James smiled. "So far, it's not bad. Although many people are criticizing her, as long as there are still people paying attention, it means she's popular."
"There are many artists who rely on controversy to become famous."
Grace nodded and stood up.
"If there's nothing else, I'll be going. I have some personal matters to attend to."
"Okay."
In the car, Grace took out her phone to play.
The driver looked at her from the rearview mirror. "Miss. Curtis, where are we going now?"
Grace didn't speak.
The driver had no choice but to start the car and drive aimlessly around.
After a moment, Grace handed him an address.
"Go here."
The driver didn't dare to delay and hurriedly drove off.
When Grace opened the car door, she said lightly, "You can go back."
As the car drove away, Grace made a phone call.
"How did it go?"
"In response to Miss. Curtis, the person has just been caught; you can come."
A smug smile played on Grace's lips as she stood under a flickering streetlight, the faint light casting a sinister glow on her instead of a soft one.
Instead, it was very fierce.
She walked forward, her high heels making a crisp sound on the ground.
Even her body seemed to be floating.
She pushed open the door that was ajar.
The dilapidated factory emitted a musty smell.
Dust filled the air.
Several figures were indistinct, and it was hard to see.
Grace casually took a handkerchief from her bag, gently covering her mouth and nose. Her face was expressionless as she walked in.
She waved her hand, and the few people who obeyed her command immediately left.
Only one person was left, a man tied to a pillar.
His body trembled slightly, his eyes covered with a cloth, his mouth wide open, stuffed with a piece of paper big enough to reach his throat, unable to move a muscle.
Grace reached out and tore off the cloth.
Wilber felt a bright light in front of him, and he could finally see things clearly.
However
His pupils suddenly contracted, and he struggled desperately.
How could it be Grace?
Did Grace tie him up to get back at him?!
"Wilber, never thought I'd catch you one day, huh?"
Her wavy hair was scattered, and her beautiful face was full of smiles, but it was chilling.
Goosebumps erupted all over Wilber's body.
A chill shot straight to his brain from the back of his head.
"Do you really think that just because the Curtis family let you go, it means I will too?"
Disgust filled Grace's eyes, and her gaze at him was like looking at a piece of dirty trash.
"What right does a disgusting person like you have, and what courage do you have to touch me?"
"Do you think there will be such a good thing in the world where you can just walk away without paying any price?"
Wilber's eyes widened in terror.
This Grace is wild.
She's gone mad!
"Do you know why I didn't come to you earlier?"
"Because I was thinking, what kind of punishment should I give you that will make you remember it forever and never forget it?"
Grace's fingers pressed against her chin, a smile on her face.
"Guess what it is?"
"If you guess right, maybe I'll go easy on you."
Wilber's thighs were taut, and he gritted his teeth, but he couldn't break free.
"Is there something you want to say?"
Grace tore the paper ball.
Wilber finally spoke, shouting without hesitation: "Grace, you are a cruel woman! The matter has nothing to do with me! If you really drive me crazy, I, Wilber, will make sure you go down in flames, even if I have to die!"
