Chapter 315 Limb Degeneration
Myron closed the magazine.
The voice was crisp, like a thunderclap hitting Holly's heart.
"Do you like Eddy?"
The sudden question caught Holly off guard.
There was obvious panic in her words.
"Why are you asking this?"
Myron said, "If you don't like him then it has nothing to do with you."
"Why does the Nash family want to match Ann and Eddy, you should know."
"Eddy, it's time to get married."
"Do you think he can withstand the pressure from the Nash family and the blame from the White family, and be with you without hesitation?"
Holly clenched her throat.
"Don't provoke me!"
"Don't think I don't know that you're saying this on purpose!"
Myron lowered his eyes, hiding the coldness.
"Think whatever you want."
Neither of them spoke again.
But as time passed, Holly became more and more restless.
She couldn't help but text Eddy, only to find that Eddy was ignoring her.
"Deceiver..."She muttered.
Holly gritted her teeth and stood up abruptly.
"I'm a bit hungry. I'm going out to eat."
Myron bluntly exposed her lie, "We have everything here. I'll have the chef make something for you."
"No need! Don't bother!" Holly picked up her bag and left in a hurry.
Two minutes later, Holly returned.
"Which restaurant did you go?"
Myron looked at her with a smile in his eyes. Seemingly mocking the excuse she had just made.
Holly tried to cover up, "Don't get me wrong! I'm not going to see Eddy. I just thought the restaurant recommended by the Nash family should have good food, so I wanted to try it."
Myron sent her an address on her phone.
"Thanks."
Holly rushed out.
But as she neared the place, she detoured to a beauty salon.
Holly dressed up carefully, put on an exquisite makeup, and changed into a black lace dress that suited her.
Walking elegantly and gracefully in high heels, she entered the upscale restaurant.
Meanwhile, in the private room, the Nash family was in high spirits.
"Eddy, pour some water for Ann." Alan said with a smile.
Eddy put away his phone.
The last message before the screen went dark was the one Myron had sent forty minutes ago.
[Holly is on her way.]
But why hadn't she arrived yet?
Was there traffic?
Or did Holly change her mind halfway and decide not to come?
Eddy's mind was in chaos, and he was so distracted that he didn't even notice the water overflowing.
Ann exclaimed.
Eddy saw Ann's white dress getting wet.
He hurriedly grabbed some tissues to wipe it, momentarily forgetting the etiquette between men and women.
Ann blushed, feeling a bit embarrassed.
When Holly pushed the door open, this was the scene she walked into: Ann blushing, and Eddy bending over, his hand accidentally touching Ann's leg over her skirt.
Holly sneered coldly.
Things were moving fast!
Eddy heard the noise and turned around.
"Holly?"
Alan's face changed, "Why are you here? I didn't invite you. Get out!"
Holly placed the gift she was holding on the table and smiled lightly, "Mr. Nash, that's not right. Since I'm already here, it wouldn't be nice to ask me to leave. Besides, Luann knew that Ms. White won an award and specifically asked me to come and give her best wishes."
Ann spoke softly, "Then thank Ms. Weaver and Ms. Weiss."
Alan understood clearly that Holly was using Luann to pressure her.
Ann, as powerful as she was, couldn't compare to Luann!
"You're welcome."
Holly looked at Eddy, neither angry nor yelling. Instead, she said coquettishly, "It was a bit crowded on the road. I was afraid of being late, so I got off and walked over."
"It took me so long."
"My feet hurt, I got blisters, but you didn't come over to help me!"
Eddy hesitated for a moment, then quickly straightened up.
But before he could take a step, Ann grabbed his arm. "It's not dry yet."
Eddy took out a few more tissues and handed them to Ann, "Then you can wipe it carefully yourself."
Ann remained silent.
The disappointment on her face was particularly evident.
Eddy led Holly to the seat.
Whether intentionally or not, Holly sat directly in the seat Eddy had just vacated, next to Ann.
"Ms. White, do you mind if I sit here?"
Ann shook her head. "It's fine."
Holly said playfully, "That's good. Eddy, I'm a bit hungry, can you serve me some food?"
At Holly's request, Eddy was momentarily stunned, a smile creeping onto his lips.
Holly, who claimed to dislike him, still chased after him in this situation.
Seeing the situation, Alan felt uneasy and quickly said, "Eddy, don't just focus on Ms. Weiss, also serving more dishes for Ms. White! These are the specialties of our restaurant. Don't neglect the guests!"
"Mr. Nash," Holly smiled, "Ms. White is fully capable, she doesn't need help with serving."
Alan said coldly, "Doesn't Ms. Weiss need help with serving?"
Holly looked shy.
"There's nothing I can do. Eddy spoils me so much that my limbs have degenerated, and I need him to take care of everything."
Alan rubbed his forehead helplessly, trying to hide the anger he was struggling to contain.
"I want shrimp, fish. That's delicious too!"
Eddy kept serving Holly dishes one after another.
And as expected, Holly ate a lot.
Throughout, Ann maintained a polite smile and didn't show any flaws.
She stood up gracefully, "Excuse me; I need to use the restroom."
As Ann left, Holly also stood up.
"I'll go too."
As the door to the private room closed, Alan couldn't hold back his anger any longer, "Eddy! Look at how Holly is dressed! No manners at all!"
Eddy hadn't spoken yet.
Sharon said, "Young people like this kind of dress. It's called fashion and you don't understand."
Alan, getting angrier, said, "Do you understand?"
"I'm not old. Of course, I understand. Look at how strong your reaction is, which shows you're an old-fashioned person." Sharon coughed lightly twice.
Alan raised his voice, "I'm old-fashioned? I'm very young!"
Watching the two of them argue, Eddy quietly slipped out to smoke.
Inside the women's restroom, Holly was leisurely touching up her makeup in front of the mirror.
Ann walked out of the stall.
