Chapter 218 Soap Opera Saga

The White family—one of the elite four.

Holly Weiss didn't even glance at Amanda; instead, she affectionately plopped herself onto Eddy's lap.

She draped her arms around his neck with a coquettish tone.

"Darling, didn't you promise to take me shopping? You better not back out on me."
Eddy patted her back reassuringly. "Don't worry; we'll head out as soon as this is all wrapped up."

Amanda smoothly withdrew her hand, her expressions perfectly composed. "If Eddy's tied up, I won't intrude on your little duo's time," she said gracefully to the others.

"Jenny, let's get going."

With a reluctant frown, Jenny rose and followed Amanda out.

Holly Weiss watched their retreating figures, blinking in bewilderment.

She had half-expected the woman to throw a fit, to lambast Eddy as a Casanova, or even to confront her.

Surprisingly, the woman just left.

"Could it be that Amanda was coerced into coming here too?" Holly Weiss pondered, feeling this was the only plausible explanation. Otherwise, why would Amanda leave so swiftly?

Luann Weaver spread her hands. "So, I came all this way for nothing? Thought there'd be some drama."

"If there's any drama," Eddy chuckled, "it's at my place."

Joseph would hit the roof if he found out.

"Need me to call Myron Curtis to bail you out?" Luann Weaver offered good-naturedly.

"No need, he'd just laugh at me."

Luann Weaver shrugged nonchalantly. "Well then, good luck stepping out of the Nash family's door alive tomorrow."

In a luxury car parked on the roadside, two pairs of eyes peered in, watching Luann Weaver, Holly Weiss, and Eddy share a laugh.

"That's Amanda, the woman!"

"She's Luann Weaver!"

"She not only crossed me but took my photo to threaten me!"

Jenny sighed, gently admiring her flawless manicure. "Why start trouble with the Curtis family for no reason, Jenny? If you rile Emma up, and she complains to Vito Curtis, you might end up in hot water."

Jenny sulkily grimaced, "Emma is not even a favorite in the Curtis family. What can she do by complaining?"

"It's Luann Weaver who really gets under my skin!"

"Just some woman Myron Curtis brought home, and she really thinks she's part of the Curtis family, meddling in my affairs with Emma?"

"Amanda, don't you think she's way out of line?"

Amanda gently patted her hand, her eyes warm with empathy.

"You're just too impulsive, Jenny."

"But, you're right—Luann Weaver did step out of line."
Hearing Amanda say that, the fire inside Jenny's heart subsided a bit.

"Figures!"

"And that woman, she's in cahoots with Luann Weaver?"

"Birds of a feather flock together."

"Amanda, you like Eddy so much, yet someone else beat you to the punch. Are you just going to let it slide?"

Amanda gently gathered her windswept hair, her downcast eyes filled with a hint of sorrow.

"There are just too many women around Eddy."

"But it's okay, I can wait."

Jenny pursed her lips, sensing that things weren't so simple.

"But Eddy never used to go public with his girlfriends."

"This time, he flaunts her in front of you. Isn't that a clear slap in the face?"

"We can't just sit back and do nothing!"

"If that little homewrecker succeeds, marries Eddy..."

"Then all your years of affection, wouldn't they be wasted?"

Amanda’s pearly teeth gently caught her lip, her face a mix of confusion and panic.

"What should I do then?"

Jenny had a suggestion: "I think we should reach out to her."

"I've been to many high society parties. I've met all the notable socialites in Westland, and I remember their names and faces."

Jenny shook head, "But that woman, she seems so unfamiliar."

Amanda leaned in, a glint of mischief in her eyes, "I bet she's only with Eddy to land a wealthy husband."

Jenny frowned. "When the time comes, can't we just dismiss her with some cash?"

Amanda appeared tense, "Oh, can we really do that?"

"Trust me!" Jenny said with conviction.

Amanda sighed, "Alright."

Just as Eddy had predicted.

Before he could leave the café, he received a call from Joseph.

Holly Weiss and Luann Weaver were back.

But when he arrived at the doorstep, he saw unexpected guests standing outside.

With elegant poise and her tall, five-foot-seven stature, Amanda easily looked down at Holly Weiss.

"Holly Weiss, right?"

"Sorry to intrude, but could we have a quick chat?"

After finishing, Amanda gave Luann Weaver a polite nod.

"Good to see you, Luann."

Luann returned a slight smile, nodding in cordial acknowledgment.

Holly Weiss removed her sunglasses and leisurely glanced over.

"Come on in."

She went to the fridge to grab three beverages, handed one to Luann first, and then tossed one to Amanda.

Amanda paused, then promptly set it down on the table.

"Holly, you know, it's better for girls not to drink too many cold things."
"Also, this stuff is bad for your health. It can spike your blood sugar and make it easier to pack on the pounds."

Holly Weiss nodded, opening a bottle and guzzling down half of it in one go.

"Thanks for the heads-up."

Amanda fell silent.

Holly Weiss tore open a bag of potato chips and began munching away.

She shifted slightly so that Luann Weaver could also reach the chips.

Luann Weaver watched with a detached curiosity, knowing the situation didn't concern her much. It seemed impolite to barge into their conversation uninvited.

"Just spit it out if you have something to say. I can't stand beating around the bush," Holly said bluntly.

Amanda seemed hesitant; her words stuck at the tip of her tongue.

Her elegant fingers twined nervously, her gaze wavering.

"Holly, I know talking money can ruin relationships."

"Not at all," Holly Weiss interjected. "Since when did we have a relationship that could be ruined?"

Convinced by Holly's frankness, Amanda pulled out a check from her purse and laid it on the table.

"So, I'll get straight to the point."

"You know that I was set up by Mr. Nash as a date for Eddy."

"Could you perhaps step aside?"

"This is compensation for you."

Holly Weiss nodded thoughtfully, glancing over at Luann Weaver.

Fingering the check between her thumb and index finger, she seemed to ponder the situation.

"Amanda, do you really think this little amount is going to cut it?"
