Chapter 252 Like Meeting for the First Time

"1 plus 1 equals 7?"

Holly was confused.

Adolph raised an eyebrow, exerted his legs, and swung on the swing in mid-air.

"Yeah, look how dumb you are, not even knowing what 1 plus 1 is."

"Hey, if Lord Master knew how low your IQ is, he would definitely kick you out."

Holly's pupils suddenly contracted, her small body filled with a sense of fear.

"I... I want to stay!"

She wanted a home.

She wanted to stay by the side of the angel who pulled her out of the quagmire and into the sunlight.

Adolph heard her words and a glimmer of interest flashed in his eyes.

Suddenly, a silver light flashed and the rope supporting his legs broke.

With agility, he did a somersault in mid-air and landed firmly on the ground, moving his ankles.

The young boy's figure had already taken on a slender form, a head taller than Holly.

His soft hair fell against his neck, his appearance delicate and handsome, but in his hands was a surgical knife that seemed completely incompatible with his aura.

Sharp and shimmering with cold light.

"What, do you want to stay and be my sister?"

Adolph raised his hand and used the back of the knife to lift Holly's chin, his gaze taking in her face.

She was quite cute-looking.

But compared to his Luann baby, she was still quite lacking.

"I just want to stay by Luann's side," Holly obediently replied.

"Tsk, am I not attractive enough?" Adolph furrowed his brow, slightly annoyed.

Suddenly, a sharp voice abruptly sounded.
"Adolph, what are you doing?"

Adolph's hand trembled and he quickly stepped back.

"Father told you to hang here for three hours as punishment. It hasn't been that long, and you're already coming down on your own. Aren't you afraid of being punished by Father?"
Holly followed the direction of the speaker and looked over.

She saw a young boy dressed in a black shirt walking toward them from the entrance, his face flawlessly perfect under the backlight.

His cuffs were slightly rolled up, his clothes without a single wrinkle, neat and clean.
His meticulously trimmed nails were tinged with faint pink, his fingers long and fair, with a plain silver ring on his finger.

"Hehe, big brother, since Lord Master isn't here, just pretend you didn't see anything," Adolph scratched his head in embarrassment. "Besides, if I hang there for three hours, how can I cook for Luann?"

"Do you really want to see her go hungry?"

The young boy ignored him and the amber color of his eyes glanced at the timid Holly.

"Hello, I'm Williams."

"Hello... I'm Holly."

Williams nodded, "Would you like some water?"

"Thank you..."

Adolph breathed a sigh of relief when Williams didn't bother him.

However, the next second, a sharp rope flew toward him and tightly bound around his legs.

"Ouch!"

Adolph resisted, but he was pulled forward and fell face down.

Williams effortlessly hoisted Adolph back up.

"You attacked me," Williams said.

Adolph complained dizzily under his breath.

Williams smirked with youthful pride.

He grabbed a cup of coffee from the side and placed it in front of Holly. "Please drink."
Holly stared, realizing these two were not ordinary people.

She silently drank the bitter coffee, waiting for the angel to return.

She saw Luann being carried by a man in a trench coat, sitting on his arm. Her princess dress puffed up, and her little legs swung leisurely.

Adolph, hanging above, fell silent upon hearing the commotion.

Williams also stood up, standing respectfully by the couch.

"Your beard is so long.

"It's prickly."

Luann forcefully tugged at the man's beard.

The corners of his mouth twitched as he gently pushed down her small hand.

"I'll shave it off later."

Luann nodded contently.

The man walked to the side of the couch, placing Luann on a soft cushion and grabbing a nearby blanket to cover her legs.

With reverence, Williams called out, "Father."

Adolph from above said, "Lord of the household."

The man nodded, his sharp gaze scanning Holly, his gaze fixating.

"Is this the little girl you encountered when I took you to the welfare institution last time?

"Why did you bring her back?"

Luann's tone was young and firm, with an undeniable determination. "I want to keep her."

The man furrowed his brow, his gaze filled with contemplation.

"Oh?"

"Take her down and test her intelligence."

Luann grabbed the man's hand. "Godfather, I just want to keep a friend by my side. There's no need to test her intelligence, right?"

"Besides, she came from the welfare institution, how can she study courses?"

The man's face turned cold. "Useless things, they are only a nuisance when they stay around."

"Not everyone is qualified to be your friend."

Luann said without hesitation, "I just want her."

The man fell silent for a moment, then suddenly looked at Holly and asked, "Can you do math?"

"Yes..."

"What is one plus one equal to?"

Holly breathed a sigh of relief. Thankfully, Adolph had given her the answer in advance, otherwise she would have exposed the fact that she wasn't smart enough!

"Equals seven!"

Luann: "..."

Williams: "..."

The man: "..."

Adolph couldn't help but burst into laughter.

The man said coldly, "Someone, throw this brat out!"

Luann jumped off the couch barefoot and ran to Holly's side.

Her rosy lips pursed lightly, and her black eyes were filled with determination.

Williams couldn't help but speak up, "Father, Luann has never had a girl her age around her. It would be a good thing if she had someone to grow up with."

The man looked at him coldly.

Williams knew he was displeased, but he still bravely said, "Girls can communicate better with other girls, right?"

"If you want Luann to grow up healthy like a normal child, you cannot deprive her of the right to have friends."

Williams hung his head, afraid to look at him.

After a while, the man chuckled softly.

"Fine, very well, let this girl stay here for a few days then."

"If she makes me unhappy, she can leave at any time!"

Williams breathed a sigh of relief.

"Thank you, Father."

After the man left, Luann finally relaxed and smiled.

"Thank you, big brother."

Williams chuckled lightly, shook his head, and reached out to easily pick up Luann, placing her back on the couch.

He knelt in front of her, picked up the white slippers next to him, and carefully put them on her feet.

"Tell Big Brother if you have any problems. I will help you with Father."

Luann nodded, then leaned over and kissed his cheek.

"Okay."
