Chapter 374 Mismanagement

What did Luann say?

Designer?

Was she a fashion designer? Or Sunflower's designer?

No way!

The host saw everyone was shocked and quickly stood up. In the calmest tone, he dropped a bombshell. "This isn't the usual procedure, but given the situation, I won't hide it anymore. Let's welcome Sunflower's fashion designer, Luann!"

The host was sharp. He noticed Luann didn't mention being Sunflower's founder and wisely kept it to himself.

Grace's fingers dug into the cold floor, her face twisted with anger. "You're lying! How could Luann be a fashion designer? Do you think I'm stupid? She's only twenty-two! You must be conspiring to deceive us because she's the biggest investor, right?"

Grace's shoulders shook, and her words were filled with desperation. Deep down, she knew they might be telling the truth. She had her suspicions when she saw Luann cutting clothes backstage but didn't think much of it then.

The host's brow furrowed, and his tone turned sharp. "Ms. Curtis, how could we fake something this important? You destroyed Sunflower's clothes and ruined  Fashion Week. What did we do to deserve this? We paid you properly, so why did you do this?"

He then faced the camera. "We've worked with Sunflower for a long time. You can see their work in every Fashion Week. We have photos as proof, and I'll have them released online so everyone can see the truth!"

These words and evidence cleared all doubts.

Grace exploded. She screamed, "Luann! You set me up! You did this on purpose!"

Luann ignored her and told the host, "I'll cover all the losses this time."

The host quickly shook his head, softening his tone. "You're too kind. It was our mistake hiring the wrong person. It's not your fault. We'll clean up and continue the Fashion Week."

He waved to the staff, and one of them immediately went on stage, grabbed Grace by the ankle, and dragged her backstage without mercy.

Grace's body was dragged across the cold tiles, her hands clawing at the floor, a pitiful sight.

Meanwhile, a storm was brewing online.

[Come on, Luann, what else can you do? What other secrets do you have? Just tell us!]

[She deserved it.]

[I'm laughing so hard. This is the thief crying "stop thief," right? Accusing the designer, Grace must be dumbfounded.]

[So tragic.]

[How can you treat our Grace like this? It's too much!]

[Some people need to watch their words. This is the biggest fashion week in the country, with ties to major international brands.]

[Am I the only one who noticed the initial convo between Luann and the cameraman?]

[I finally get why Luann said that. The cameraman was worried about not capturing the designer, and Luann said, "You'll definitely capture it." Now it makes sense.]

[When Luann admitted she was the designer, the camera was shaking like crazy.]

[I noticed that too! It was hilarious!]

After this little drama, the Fashion Week kept rolling.

Backstage, a guard tossed Grace aside like trash, clicking his tongue in disgust. "What bad luck! I've been here over ten years, and this is a first. We need professional models; otherwise, how could this happen?"

Grace shouted angrily, "What are you saying! I'm the daughter of the Curtis family, a top-tier actress! Who are you to criticize me? A lousy security guard, you think you're something?"

The guard chuckled. "Yeah, I'm just a lousy security guard. But after today, whether you can still be a top-tier actress is uncertain. Daughter of the Curtis family? Sounds like a Curtis family problem." He shrugged and walked away sarcastically.

Grace bit her lip hard, reopening a wound, and blood flowed down. She curled up, hugging her legs, shivering until the Fashion Week ended.

The official Fashion Week posted two updates on Facebook.

The first was a chat record between the Fashion Week officials and James. The host clearly stated they had enough models and weren't keen on inviting celebrities. But James kept pleading, saying Grace loved the Sunflower brand.

The chat screenshots were long, starting almost half a month ago. James was persistent, bringing it up daily until the host agreed.

[Here, I declare that our Fashion Week will never cooperate with Grace again. Moreover, we will sue Grace for the losses caused to the Sunflower brand.]

As soon as the news was released, many people rushed to watch the drama.

[Offending Fashion Week, how can she survive in the entertainment industry? Big brands won't want her as a spokesperson anymore, right?]

[I always thought Grace had a bad character. Look at how she acted at fashion week.]

[Grace was so scary today. Isn't she always nice in front of the camera?]

[It's all fake. My friend is her fan and has met her many times. Her personality is really bad; she doesn't even acknowledge her fans.]

[Yeah, don't even think about getting an autograph or a photo.]

[I heard Grace is very arrogant in the entertainment industry, relying on her family background to bully newcomers.]
