Chapter 50 Movie Before Bedtime
Luann stood under the tree, waiting for him.
She was too far away to hear who he was talking to.
However, the chilling air surrounding him seemed to be growing stronger.
Even in the scorching summer, Luann could feel the refreshing coolness, like an air conditioner.
"You called me just for this?"
Myron's tone was icy cold, his hands in his pocket, exuding a harshness.
The other person retorted, "Then what else?"
"I'm not going." Myron put his phone down.
But it seemed like the other person had installed surveillance on him, knowing his every move.
"You dare to hang up?"
"She's my junior, shouldn't she come to see me voluntarily?"
Myron smirked coldly, a chilling sensation spreading from his eyes, his lips curved without any warmth.
"You didn't even come to my wedding, and now you suddenly want to meet?"
The woman said, "She's a bought wife, is it necessary for me to waste my time going over?"
"I will be hosting a birthday banquet next Saturday."
"I hope you bring her and come on time."
Myron hung up the phone directly and returned to Luann's side.
Luann noticed that something was off about his demeanor, but she didn't ask further and simply said, "Let's just go back if you don't feel like shopping."
"Let's go."
The night grew darker, and it started to rain outside without them noticing.
Pitter-patter, the raindrops fell on the leaves, creating a soothing hypnotic sound.
Luann came out after taking a shower and found Myron lying on the bed, watching TV.
"Come here."
Myron patted the space beside him.
Luann sat on the edge of the bed and casually glanced at the TV.
"What do you want to watch?"
"Anything."
"Do you want to lie down here too?"
Luann's gaze wandered. "I don't think so."
Myron didn't insist, he nodded. "Having a cup of hot milk before bed will help you sleep better."
Luann made a sound of acknowledgement. "I don't feel like drinking it now."
"But I do."
Helpless, Luann turned her head, glanced at him, and got up to leave.
Myron picked up the air conditioner remote and lowered the temperature by four degrees.
Luann quickly returned and placed the milk on his bedside table before going back to her spot.
Myron randomly played a movie and had only watched for about ten minutes when the woman next to him shivered from the cold.
She curled up, hugging her knees, trying to concentrate.
But then...
"Sneeze!"
A tissue was handed to her.
"If you're cold, come inside and sleep. If you catch a cold, you'll have to take medicine."
Luann wiped her nose and reluctantly crawled into bed.
They had slept together many times before, but tonight's atmosphere gave her a hint of ambiguity.
Watching a movie before bed...
Isn't this something that couples do? It feels strange when it happens between them...
After the movie ended, Luann didn't know what it was about.
She turned off the light with a snap, lay down, and prepared to sleep.
The man beside her became restless.
Suddenly, Luann remembered what Wilber had said.
"As a man, isn't it normal to have needs?"
Quietly, Luann shifted to the side.
But with just that, it sparked like a small flame.
"Are you afraid of me?" Myron's deep voice sounded in her ear, as if he was speaking while lying next to her.
"Not afraid," Luann firmly replied.
"Then why are you avoiding?"
"I'm not avoiding."
"Come closer."
Luann moved back a bit.
"Come closer."
She moved again.
"Keep going."
Luann moved a bit more, like squeezing out toothpaste.
Finally, her arm rested against his warm skin.
In the next second.
His weight pressed against her.
Luann exclaimed, "Myron! What are you doing!"
She desperately tried to open her eyes wider, attempting to see the man in front of her.
But just like that night in the hotel, she couldn't see anything.
"You don't like me, do you?"
Myron's words were low and mixed with feelings of ...hurt?
Luann was stunned by his sudden question, "Why...why are you asking this all of a sudden?"
Myron lowered his head, his expression completely shrouded in darkness.
Even though he knew the answer, he still wanted Luann to say it to him personally.
Luann remained silent.
Myron waited for a long time, but he didn't get her answer.
He got out of bed and turned away.
Bang!
Light shone through the door.
Luann blinked, unsure what kind of emotions she felt.
...
The night had turned pitch black.
A Maybach drove on the road, creating tiny splashes of water.
The car stopped in front of a bar.
He walked in and found the familiar private room before entering.
"Oh, not easy to escape the clutches of your wife, huh?"
The man speaking was handsome, with a hint of charm in his eyes, giving off an air of relaxation.
"Couldn't believe it, the usually detached you could also fall into such a situation for a woman. Tsk, tsk, tsk."
"Pity my sincere affection, going specially to listen to the music you played, but didn't receive any sympathy from you..."
Myron's mouth twitched, goosebumps formed all over his body.
"Eddy, quit showing off your flirting skills."
Eddy swung his legs up onto the table, "You can't have what you can't reach, jealous of my abilities."
Myron's eyebrows twitched, "So, will you teach me?"
Eddy's hand holding the cigarette trembled slightly, he looked surprised, and handed one over.
"Did I hear you correctly?"
His gaze swept over Myron' flawless face without a single flaw.
"With a face like yours, you don't need to say a word, countless women would throw themselves at you."
"Do you still need to... specially please a woman?"
A click.
The lighter ignited the cigarette.
Myron took a deep drag and exhaled.
The smoke enveloped him, obscuring his face.
"She's not interested in me."
Eddy rubbed his ears, "Are there any women who don't like you?"
When Eddy saw Luann, he was truly amazed by her beauty.
"Ah, that's great. It seems like I might have a chance."
As soon as the words fell, the person next to him shot him a cold gaze.
"Don't look at me like that. Women are the loveliest creatures in this world."
"Moreover, we have been good brothers for so many years. If you can't enjoy it, leave it to me, your brother!"
Myron clenched his fist tightly, and his knuckles made cracking sounds.
Eddy provocatively said, "What? Are you going to fight?"
"Come on! Who's afraid of who!"
Myron's thin lips lifted slightly, "This is what you asked for."
Half an hour later, Myron walked out of the private room with an icy expression.
As for Eddy, he collapsed on the sofa, his face covered in bruises.
Just as he was about to go home, a heavily drunk woman stumbled into his arms from behind the wall.
"Wilber... why... would you treat me like this..."
Myron saw Juliet's face and immediately pushed her away with disgust.
Without any sympathy.
Juliet sat down on the cold tiles, feeling the temperature sober her up a bit.
She opened her bewildered eyes and saw an incredibly handsome man standing in front of her!
