Chapter 33 Kneeling and Apologizing

The three of them sat around the coffee table.
There was a sense of oppression in the air.
"Big brother...it's a misunderstanding, all of this is a misunderstanding!"
"I had no idea she was my sister-in-law. If I had known, even if you gave me the courage, I wouldn't dare to do this!"
He had long been aware of Myron Curtis' marriage, but there had been no movement on the surface, and she was the unfavored eldest daughter of the Weaver Family.
He always thought Myron Curtis' wife was an average-looking woman who couldn't be shown off!
Otherwise, why wouldn't big brother flaunt her?
Alvin Curtis felt wronged in his heart.
Myron Curtis sat there with an indifferent expression, his back straight, his right leg casually folded over his left leg, one hand resting on the table, and his index finger tapping lightly, making a slight sound.
Alvin Curtis felt his heart pounding as he listened.
"Sister-in-law, won't you say something for me as well!"
He still wanted to walk out of here alive!
Luann Weaver glanced at him sideways, happily cracking the sunflower seeds in front of her, leisurely watching the show.
"Big brother, this can't all be blamed on me."
"If you want to blame someone, blame the fact that my sister-in-law is good-looking!"
"Besides, I just turned twenty last month...occasionally, there are moments of youthful ignorance and infatuation."
"Right...right?"
Myron Curtis raised his eyes at the sound, and a hint of cold light flashed in his dark pupils.
"I see that you've been itching lately."
Alvin Curtis decisively said, "No, no! I don't itch at all! I just took a shower yesterday!"
"Go back to your cave and stay there, don't come here if there's nothing to do." Myron Curtis coldly said.
"Yes sir!"
Alvin Curtis promptly made his escape.
Feeling Myron Curtis' gaze sweeping over, Luann Weaver stretched lazily.
"I'm sleepy, I'm going back to sleep." Leaving Myron Curtis sitting there alone, staring at her figure, lost in thought.
Luann Weaver took a few days off and specifically accompanied Holly Weiss to go shopping in the upper west side and carefully decorated the new house.
That night, just as she and Holly Weiss were coming out of the restaurant, she received a call from Mike Weaver.
She thought that when the call connected, the other party would be as angry as before, without a good tone.
But, this time, there was an unexpected change in attitude, becoming exceptionally gentle.
"Evening, have you had dinner?"
"Your sister and I were just discharged from the hospital today, and we've been thinking carefully about the matter concerning Vincenzo Norman. It seems to be indeed..."
"We did it wrong."
"Can you forgive Dad?"
Luann Weaver didn't reply, but rather asked, "So?"
"Our family hasn't had a proper meal in a long time. I booked a restaurant, I'll send you the address, come over."
"Even if this isn’t the case, Juliet and I have yet to apologize to you."
Luann Weaver said one word of agreement and hung up the phone.
Holly Weiss listened attentively and had already figured out Luann Weaver's situation in the past few days.
She asked curiously, "What happened? Did someone scold him and his personality did a complete 180-degree shift?"
Luann Weaver walked towards the parking lot and slowly said, "Extraordinary things often have hidden intentions."
Holly Weiss's delicate eyebrows tightened. She grabbed Luann Weaver's hand, clearly displaying some nervousness.
"What should we do? Are you going?"
Luann Weaver tapped her chin and smiled slightly at her, trying to ease her inner anxiety.
"A grand feast, do they really think they could trap me?"
Holly Weiss listened to Luann Weaver's confident words and felt the heavy stone in her heart settle back into place.
From childhood to now, there was nothing that could defeat Luann Weaver!
Thirty minutes later, Luann Weaver casually arrived at the restaurant.
When she pushed the door to the private room open, only Juliet Weaver and Mike Weaver were inside.
As soon as Luann Weaver saw that Brianna wasn't there, she already understood.
"You finally came, please take a seat."
Mike Weaver barely noticeable breathed a sigh of relief, thinking that he had concealed it well, unaware that Luann Weaver saw through it.
Just as they sat down, Mike Weaver served Luann Weaver dishes with chopsticks, behaving considerately and affectionately, as if he truly was a good father.
Luann Weaver's cold words interrupted his actions.
"You said you wanted to apologize to me, right?"
"Let's just get to the point."
"There is no need for these formalities."
Mike Weaver and Juliet Weaver exchanged glances, seeing the struggle in each other's eyes.
Juliet Weaver was the first to stand up, raising her glass to toast Luann Weaver.
"Sister, I'm sorry, I was really thoughtless the last time, please forgive me!"
Faced with such emotional words, Luann Weaver remained unaffected.
She raised an eyebrow.
"Is that it?"
Juliet Weaver was stunned.
What else did she want?
Mike Weaver shrewdly reminded her.
"Quick, bow to your sister!"
He forcefully blinked his right eye, hinting to Juliet Weaver not to arouse suspicions.
For now, just bear with it!
Endure a little longer!
Juliet Weaver’s teeth clenched tightly, the tips of her fingers holding the cup turning slightly pale.
She closed her eyes and suddenly bent over, forming a perfect ninety degree angle in mid-air.
"I'm sorry!"
Damn Luann Weaver, she won't hurt her reputation for too much longer!
In just a couple of minutes, she would make her completely unaware of how to cry!
Luann Weaver stood up unhurriedly and circled around Juliet Weaver's body.
The shapely body was trembling slightly.
Luann Weaver kicked Juliet Weaver's knee abruptly, the unexpected force making her uncontrollably kneel down.
Thump!
Above her head, Luann Weaver's satisfied voice resounded.
"Well, that's how you should apologize."
The feeling of humiliation filled every cell in her body!
Juliet Weaver suddenly rose up, grabbed the glass of wine in her hand, and intended to pour it on Luann Weaver!
However, as her hand reached out, a glass of strong wine splashed on her face, and a lot of it entered her eyes, causing her to scream in pain.
"Oh, sorry, I was actually going to toast you, but I didn't expect my hand to tremble."
Luann Weaver innocently blinked.
"Luann Weaver, you!"
Juliet Weaver's angry words were interrupted as a strong hand landed on her shoulder and lightly squeezed.
"Quick, use tissues to wipe it off. Your sister definitely didn't do it on purpose."
Mike Weaver grabbed a few tissues and helped Juliet Weaver wipe her face.
When Juliet Weaver returned to her seat, her makeup was smudged and her hair was wet and sticking to her scalp.
Mike Weaver glanced at his phone, forcing a smile.
"Luann, she's already apologized, so stop holding it against us."
"After all, we are family."
Luann Weaver continued eating with her chopsticks, ignoring him completely.
Mike Weaver awkwardly touched his nose and exchanged glances with Juliet Weaver.
After a while, Luann Weaver heard Mike Weaver's phone vibrate twice.
He then stood up and said, "I need to go to the bathroom."
Juliet Weaver hurriedly followed, saying, "I'll go too."
Luann Weaver glanced at the private restroom in the private room, not saying anything.
After they left, there was a faint sound of a door closing coming from the slightly ajar restroom door.
In the suddenly quiet private room, the sound was exceptionally clear.
Luann Weaver was about to stand up and go check when the door of the private room was pushed open.
A familiar figure eagerly walked in.
"Little beauty, I’ve finally caught you!"
