Chapter 89 The Restaurant Check-In

Gazing at Myron’s “weak, pitiful, and helpless” figure, Luann felt as if her heart was being tightly squeezed by a giant hand.

He stood with his head lowered in the corner, resembling a child who had done something wrong.

Grandma forced a tough front. "Luann, don't pay attention to him!"

"Who are we performing for!"

"Come, let's eat our meal!"

Luann let out a long sigh. "How can this be just a performance...?"

"Alright, standing for a while won't kill him. Don't get angry with Grandma." She covered her chest, trying to appease her emotions.

Luann had a furious look upon her face.
She dared not say another word and immediately closed her mouth.

During the meal, Luann wasn't able to eat with peace of mind. She always felt like someone's gaze was intermittently fixed on her.

Whenever she glanced at Myron from the corner of her eye, she would notice him slightly glancing at her with his injured, ink-black eyes, filled with grievances.

Luann's hand trembled as she tried to pick up her food, but after three or four failed attempts, she couldn't manage to do so.

Her mind went blank in an instant.

“Grandma, I’m full.”
Luann put down her chopsticks.

The old lady nervously asked, "Why are you eating so little?"
"Is it because my cooking doesn't suit your taste?"

Luann shook her head and smiled faintly.
"No, it's just that the plane ride was too long, and I haven't recovered yet."

Only then did the old lady calm down, patting Luann's tender hand lovingly, coaxing her gently.

“That’s understandable. Once you’re done eating, go upstairs to rest.”

Luann glanced at Myron, and with a probing tone, she asked, "And what about Myron..."

“Stand there until it’s dark,” Myron interrupted.

Luann: "..."

Is this really a loving grandma?

Luann went back to her room and lay on the bed, covering herself with the sheets.

But no matter how she tossed and turned, sleep just wouldn’t come.

Her mind was filled with the image of Myron feeling wronged.

Luann looked at the clock on the wall. There was still an hour left until the old lady took her afternoon nap.

Maybe I should wait a bit longer.

Downstairs.

The old lady had finished her walk in the backyard and returned to her room to rest.

Hearing the footsteps grow distant, Myron emerged from the corner and entered the kitchen.

The servants immediately bowed and said, “Young Master.”

"The old lady specially asked us to prepare this meal for you before she went upstairs. No one has touched it."

Myron responded with a faint "Hmm," and a glimmer of sadness flickered deep within his dark eyes.
"Have you all eaten?"

“Not yet, we were just about to.”

"Eat here."

The servants exchanged confused looks.

“You mean... we should eat this food?”

"Um... yes."

Half an hour later.

Luann opened the door quietly and limped downstairs.

She noticed Myron standing still in the same spot.

Luann walked up behind him and lightly tapped his shoulder.

“Grandma is already asleep, why are you still standing here like a dummy?”

Isn't he being too obedient?

Myron's thin lips slightly pursed, and his thick lashes trembled, concealing the faint sadness in his eyes.

He looked so sad, yet forced himself to appear strong.

“Grandma is right, I didn’t take care of you properly, so I should be punished.”

"Myron, don't overthink it. If not for that psycho Curtis, how could something like this happen?"

Luann comforted him. "Besides, I was the one who saved you, and you helped me a lot."

"Don't worry, I'll explain everything to Grandma later."

Myron's eyes twitched slightly at the corners, but his face remained unchanged, as if F was not a concern to him.

“Alright.”

Luann let out a sigh of relief, holding onto his arm.

Arm in arm they walked towards the kitchen.

“There should be a lot of leftovers, let me heat them up for you.”

However, upon entering, the spotless countertop had not a single plate, and upon opening the fridge, it was empty as well.

“Where’s the food?”

Grandma had made so much, and she hadn't eaten much herself, so there should definitely be a lot left!

Beside her, Myron smiled bitterly, “Grandma had the food emptied before going upstairs.”

"Emptied?" Luann was stunned.

“It’s okay, I’m not that hungry anyway.”

As if to emphasize his words, Myron's stomach let out a loud rumble.

In three seconds, Luann came up with a solution.

"Let's go out to eat."
After saying that, she lifted her leg.

Myron reached back and held her small hand, his expression suddenly serious.

"You still haven't healed from your foot injury, don't go out."

“I can wait and eat together tonight, it’s okay to skip a meal.”

Luann retorted without hesitation, "That's not alright."

He had already received scolding and a punishment, and now if he couldn't even have a meal, how could Luann be at ease?

“Just listen to me on this matter!”

"Coincidentally, I heard someone mention a newly opened restaurant before going abroad. I haven't been there yet, so why don't you accompany me?"

Myron looked troubled, pondering deeply.

“But...”

"Don't give me any buts. Actually, I'm not full either, let's go!"

After Luann finished speaking, she pulled Myron along.

Only then did she notice that at what point did they start holding hands?

Just as she was about to let go, Myron seemed to sense her intention and held on even tighter, taking the lead.

“I’ll support you.”

"Alright..."

The two immediately set off for the restaurant.

Myron parked the car by the roadside and was about to get off.

"Wait."

Luann called out to him and took out a mask from the side, handing it over.

“It seems like you forgot to wear this.”

Myron took it, casually putting it on his face.

In an instant, his scars were covered, revealing a pair of handsome and unparalleled eyes.
Satisfied, Luann nodded and walked in with Myron.

"Hello, I called ahead to reserve a private room."

As Luann approached, she provided her name and the last digits of her phone number.

The server checked and smiled, “Please wait a moment, someone will guide you shortly.”

"Alright."

Not far away, two women sat facing each other at a table by the window, laughing and chatting.

Suddenly, one of them paused, as if she had discovered something extraordinary.

“Ally, quick, look, it’s Luann!”

"She's with her sugar daddy!"

Ally turned her head upon hearing the voice, only seeing the backs of Luann and Myron.

Myron’s hand was wrapped around Luann’s slim waist, the gesture being very intimate.

"This Luann is really over the top. She marries Myron and still isn't satisfied, and now she's courting other wealthy and influential men!"

Juliet clenched her teeth in anger, the thought of Wilber

Being bewitched by her, a fire was ignited in his heart.

Ally averted her gaze and elegantly ate her food.

“No wonder she wants to divorce Myron, turns out she found a replacement.”

Juliet's heart skipped a beat and she became nervous.

“What did you say?”

"Are they planning to get a divorce?"

Ally nodded with a disdainful tone.

"It's only natural for her to want a divorce. With her current status and appearance, what kind of wealthy man wouldn't she be able to attract? How could she willingly marry such an ugly man?"

Juliet felt a mixture of sadness and a hint of pride.

"Yeah, you don't even know. On the day of their wedding, Luann was ready to pack up and run away."

"Luckily, my father found out quickly and knocked her unconscious with a stick. He then sent her off to the Curtis family."

"Otherwise, I would be the one marrying Myron!"
