Chapter 337 The Honest Scheme
Myron was silent for a long time.
He sighed helplessly.
"When did you start to suspect?"
Luann placed her hand on the back of his head and took off his mask.
Leaning lightly against the smooth wall, she responded with a question, "Are you asking about RH's identity or f's identity?"
"f."
Luann thought for a moment and said, "To be exact, it was during our time in the United States when you took me from the bar and locked me up in that tiny house."
Myron's eyelids twitched violently.
Because answer was unexpected to him.
"So early?"
He had only met with Luann as f a few times.
Yet she had already noticed something was off.
Such observational skills truly impressed him.
Luann shrugged lightly, "But at that time, I was just starting to suspect and wasn't very sure."
"The person who locked me in the room was Eddy, right?"
Myron nodded.
Luann scoffed, "I knew it."
Myron raised an eyebrow, "Why?"
Luann organized her thoughts and explained.
"When you carried me into the car, you mentioned my foot injury."
"I took the opportunity to complain about f, saying he locked me in there."
"Logically, you should wonder if f tried to do something to me, which led to my foot injury. "
But Eddy just said that the person was too outrageous.
"But there was no need for you to risk jumping out the window. It was too dangerous."
"You didn't defend yourself, and I never mentioned how I sprained my foot, yet Eddy was so certain about how I got injured, clearly aware of the inside story."
"Later, I thought back carefully."
Luann's slender fingers gently touched her chin.
Her knuckles slightly bent, lightly tapping.
"When f took me to the third floor, the room was spotless, indicating someone had recently stayed there."
"But besides a few bottles of mineral water on the table, there was nothing else."
"This suggested his meals were taken outside."
"But the next day, when I jumped down from the third floor, I found more things, mostly food."
"If f had locked me in personally, why he goes to such lengths?"
"So the result was obvious..."
Luann shrugged lightly.
It was Eddy who had let her down.
"I was eighty percent sure you were f because of the RH incident."
"You knew I went abroad and guessed I would definitely go to find Vincenzo, so you sent someone to take him away in advance, making my trip in vain."
"But before I went, I already knew it would be a wasted trip."
"If you weren't f, a stranger to me, you wouldn't be so flustered, and I wouldn't have failed to find Vincenzo."
"Because you would have had enough confidence to conceal your information, to remain undiscovered by anyone."
"You were afraid Vincenzo would reveal some details, as we had already spent a long time together."
Myron listened quietly to her thoughts and added,"So taking Vincenzo away alarmed you."
Luann smiled lightly.
"So."
"Mr. Curtis."
"When do you plan to propose to me again?"
Luann reached into her bag and took out a delicate little box.
Myron's eyes were full of smiles.
"You found it."
Pink Star.
Luann responded with a hum.
"On the day of the proposal, the shop assistant caught a glimpse of the ring you pulled out."
"Interestingly enough, when the RH auction took place, you happened to be out."
Myron closed his eyes in frustration, feeling somewhat downcast.
He was somewhat dejected.
"I really left too many loopholes."
"So how did you confirm I was the boss behind RH?"
Luann raised her delicate eyebrows, looking innocent.
Her clear eyes sparkled with a deep smile, and her rosy lips curved up, bright and alluring.
"I was testing you."
"I just thought that someone who could easily get the Pink Star from the backstage couldn't be an ordinary person, so I said it casually. It turned out that I was right."
Myron laughed silently.
He reached out to mess up her hair.
"You are quite smart."
Luann slapped his hand away forcefully, grumbling, then suddenly put on a stern face.
"Don't try to get close to me."
"You've been deceiving me for so long. This isn't something that can be easily forgiven."
Myron stood up straight, looking serious.
"Then tell me, how can you forgive me?"
Luann replied, "I haven't thought about it yet, but you'll have to win me over first."
"No problem."
Seeing she wasn't angry, Myron secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
The longer he kept things hidden, the more he didn't know how to bring them up.
Now, taking this opportunity to say everything, he felt much more at ease.
"My account is settled, now it's time to settle yours."
Myron knew Luann had kept many things from him as well.
Luann gave him a strange look and said,, "Mr. Curtis, you're being dishonest."
"What?"
Myron blinked, wondering how he could be dishonest when he hadn't even said anything yet.
"You've already fought with Adolph. There's no way you haven't found out my relationship with the Miller family, right?"
Myron sighed, "Alright, nothing can be hidden from you."
"And you can't hide anything from me." Luann pinched his face, pulling it hard.
They both smiled at each other.
"So we're even?"
Luann nodded, "Absolutely."
Myron's gaze drifted, "I still want to confirm one more thing."
"Go ahead."
"That Adolph..."
Luann cut him off.
"Stop, we're closer than siblings!"
Myron coughed lightly and said, "How did you know what I was going to ask?"
"Because you are always jealous, how could I not know what you're thinking?"
As she said this, Luann felt a bit guilty.
After a brief moment of contemplation, she decided to tell him.
She didn't want him to be angry if he found out later.
"But, I have an older brother."
Myron instantly understood.
He nodded nonchalantly, as if he didn't take the words to heart.
But in his mind, he was alarmed.
"You don't seem curious at all?"
Myron's thin lips curved slightly, his tone calm.
"I was wondering why I've been feeling watched recently."
"I must say that your brother is quite patient."
Luann was shocked.
