Chapter 396 Ross Got Caught

"Still not getting up?" Holly whacked Eddy with a pillow.

Eddy groaned and rolled over, cocooning himself in the blanket.

"Oh my God! Why are you naked?" Holly covered her eyes but peeked through her fingers. She had to admit, Eddy's body was impressive—V-line, abs, tanned skin, tousled hair, and rosy lips.

Eddy cracked his eyes open and mumbled, "You've seen, kissed, and slept with me before. What's the big deal?"

"Stop talking nonsense!" Holly blushed, yanking his ear. "Get up! The food delivery is here!"

Eddy grabbed her wrist and pulled her into his arms. She lost her balance and fell onto his chest.

"Takeout every day isn't healthy," he said.

Holly rolled her eyes. "Then cook for me."

Eddy paused. "Actually, takeout is pretty convenient, and no dishes to wash."

"Let go. I want to eat." Holly pushed him.

Eddy held her tighter. "Just a little more sleep."

"It's 1 PM, and you still want to sleep?" Holly gritted her teeth.

"Blame yourself." Eddy pouted.

Before living with Holly, Eddy had a somewhat normal schedule. Now, they stayed up all night watching movies or playing games.

"What about Ross? How long has he been hanging there? Aren't you going to deal with him?"

Eddy's eyes snapped open. "Wait, Ross?"

Holly nodded. "Yeah, it's been a month."

"Oh, crap." Eddy slapped his forehead.

Myron had given him this task, and he had completely forgotten!

Watching him run around in his underwear, Holly teased, "Getting old and forgetful, huh?"

Eddy shot back, "Not my fault. I'm addicted to a woman."

Holly scoffed. Eddy quickly got ready and headed downstairs. Holly said, "Let's eat first, then you can go."

Eddy replied, "I'll go first, then come back to eat."

"The food will get cold."

"No problem." Eddy hurried out.

At the abandoned building, the driver was playing a game.

"Where is he?" Eddy asked.

The driver jumped up. "Finally! I thought you didn't care anymore. This guy looks like he's about to die. I haven't kept him hanging for the last half month."

Eddy looked where he pointed and saw a scruffy, sunburned, emaciated man barely clinging to life.

Compared to a month ago, when Ross was all cocky, he now looked utterly miserable.

Eddy walked over and kicked him. "Still alive?"

Ross wobbled, almost falling.

"Looks like you're still breathing," Eddy said. "Alright, your month is up. You can go."

Ross's greasy, half-bald head trembled as he looked up in disbelief. "Really?"

"Want to hang here for another month?" Eddy sneered.

Ross propped himself up, leaning against the wall, and weakly stood. God knows how he survived this month. At least he wasn't afraid of heights anymore.

The driver watched him get into the elevator. "You're really letting him go just like that?"

Eddy's eyes narrowed, his lips curling up. "Yeah, but where he goes isn't up to him."

The driver was confused. "What?"

In the elevator, Ross's legs trembled uncontrollably. He decided to buy a ticket as soon as he got back, to get as far away from the Upper West Side and Myron, that devil, as possible!

The elevator doors opened. He stumbled out of the abandoned building only to find a police car parked outside.

Two officers glanced at him, twirling handcuffs. "Ross, right? Come with us."

An hour later, the Upper West Side police station released a statement and tagged Myron: [Thanks to Mr. Curtis's assistance, the matter was resolved smoothly.]

The statement exposed Ross's disgraceful actions at the academy.

It turned out Ross had revoked a student's graduate status, giving it to his favored student, and verbally abused the revoked student, causing him to commit suicide under immense psychological pressure.

The student's parents had caused a scene at the school, but because of Ross's reputation, the matter was suppressed, and a large sum of money was paid to hush it up.

Ross had also used excellent student works to enter competitions, keeping the prize money for himself. There were over ten such incidents.

Once the news broke, the internet erupted.

[Wow, this guy is a professor?]

[Why are these things only coming out now?]

[If it weren't for Mr. Curtis, who knows how long this would have been dragged out!]

[Mr. Curtis is awesome!]

[No way; weren't you guys calling Mr. Curtis ruthless before?]

[Didn't expect Ross to be like this. Throwing him out a window wouldn't be too much!]

[Is life so worthless to him?]

[This scum should be sentenced! This should serve as a warning. Sentence him to thirty years!]
