Chapter 494 The Visitor with Ill Intentions

Adolph hurriedly gave Luann a look.

His eyes were almost cramping.

Luann gave him a 'don't worry' look and then ignored him.

Adolph was so anxious he could almost spit blood.

How could he be at ease with this!

"Mr. Curtis, such arrogance. What, didn't the Curtis family teach you how to greet your elders?" Williams said expressionlessly, aggressively. "First meeting and already so rude?"

Myron said coldly, "Whether polite or impolite, it doesn't seem to matter here."

To take a step back.

Even if he came in cheerfully serving tea and smiling, the result would probably be the same.

Williams sneered disdainfully.

"After all, just a small family."

The Curtis family might dominate the Upper West Side.

But compared to the Miller family, which holds half of Aeldora's power, it's like an ant versus an elephant.

"Luann," Williams looked at the face he had admired for years, "your taste seems to be off."

Luann said indifferently, "If you think it's off, why not take off the ring on your hand?"

Williams frowned slightly and unconsciously retracted his pinky.

Adolph chuckled.

The only person who could frustrate the arrogant Williams was probably Luann.

At this moment, the servant had already brought new coffee.

Luann said, "I'll make it. Don't let Jones drink this."

After speaking, she walked directly to the kitchen.

She came out quickly.

"Here."

Jones looked at the two oval objects floating in the cup.

A bit puzzled.

Luann smiled lightly and said, "These are throat lozenges I specially made for you. Didn't you say your throat was uncomfortable and you couldn't speak? These lozenges treat lung heat, hoarseness, and throat pain. I guarantee you'll be able to speak immediately after drinking."

Jones was silent.

"Are you giving me a hard time for this kid?" Jones finally spoke.

Luann shook her head, "How would I dare? Didn't you start it? Sitting here without saying a word, people might think you're mute."

After saying that, Luann pulled Myron to sit down.

Jones's eyes turned cold.

"Did I let him sit?"

"Did you tell him not to sit?" Luann replied without hesitation.

"Luann Weaver!" Jones called her by her full name.

"What?"

Jones took a deep breath.

Swallowing his anger, he said, "Make me another cup."

Luann responded with an "oh" and clenched her fist with some worry as she left.

Just as she stepped into the kitchen, she heard the sound of a cup breaking behind her.

Luann turned to look.

She saw the coffee cup Myron had been holding shattered on the ground.

She said nothing and went in silently.

The table looked particularly calm, but Adolph, who was out of the loop, felt the tension.

He thought it was best to stay away from the drama.

"That cup spilled, drink mine."

Williams handed over his coffee.

Myron blocked it with one hand.

"No need."

"Don't be so polite, you're new here."

Williams smiled insincerely.

The coffee cup was between the two of them.

Yet it stayed steady, with no ripples on the surface.

A slight whooshing sound was heard.

Myron slightly tilted his head and exerted force with his hand.

The scalding coffee spilled directly onto Williams.

Williams's eyelid twitched violently.

He didn't expect to be frustrated by Myron even with Jones's help.

Jones immediately understood.

It seemed Myron was quite skilled.

But that was no reason for him to agree to their relationship.

"Name your terms," Jones said.

Myron stared at him, eyes cold, voice sharp, "Sending Luann to the Curtis family and then saying this, is it interesting?"

From the beginning, Jones knew the Curtis family had deep secrets; otherwise, he wouldn't have entrusted such an important task to Luann.

"Do you want to take away someone the Miller family has painstakingly nurtured for free?"

When Jones said this, his heart was bleeding.

"Luann married you on her own without my permission," Jones said.

"Tying her down for over twenty years and still wanting to keep her in the Miller family for life?" Myron's gaze was sharp.

"So, you don't plan to divorce her," Jones squinted.

"Never had such an idea."

Myron's words not only angered Jones but also infuriated Williams!

He didn't even wait for Jones's permission and directly attacked Myron!

"Didn't get enough of a beating last time?"

Myron snorted coldly, lightly pushing off the table leg with his toe.

His body, along with the chair, suddenly retreated.

Williams pressed on step by step.

His moves were sharp and ruthless, each strike aimed at vital organs.

Myron blocked his sneaky hand and grabbed a vase, smashing it on Williams's back.

Jones's mouth twitched.

Adolph's heart skipped a beat.

The valuable vase was gone just like that.

Whether intentional or not.

Myron didn't retaliate too fiercely, just throwing some vases, as if he couldn't beat Williams.

But Williams always seemed just a bit short of catching Myron.

The two circled the living room.

They had almost smashed and thrown everything they could.

When Luann came out, she saw the floor covered in fragments.

"Williams!"

She shouted sternly.

"What are you doing!"

Williams looked at the mess, clenching his fists in frustration.

"It was clearly Myron who started it. Your favoritism is too obvious."

Luann said indifferently, "If I don't favor my husband, who should I favor? Besides, if you hadn't started it, would he be like this?"

Myron nodded, his face full of 'Luann is right.'

Williams sneered, "No matter what, the vase was smashed by him. That was father's favorite, and there's another one that's been treasured for seven or eight years. Mr. Curtis, did you remember the style when you smashed it? You'll have to buy them back one by one later."

His face showed a hint of barely noticeable schadenfreude.

Myron calmly glanced at him.

Just as Williams was about to add fuel to the fire, the butler rushed in.

"Mr. Miller, Barlow Bartlett is here."

Hearing this, Williams, Adolph, and Jones were all stunned.

Why was Barlow here?

Barlow was the owner of RH Auction House, and they usually had no dealings with him. Why would he suddenly visit?

The most anxious was Adolph. Back then, he had openly fought with Myron within RH's jurisdiction for the Pink Star.

Could it be that they found out and came specifically to trouble him?
