Chapter 247 Just A Small Matter

Emma had been paying attention to Randy Torres's speech and was shocked when she heard this. "Ah? So that means Ann is my senior?"

Randy Torres laughed and said, "Yes, that's right. I thought Ross was already eccentric enough, but I didn't expect his student to be even more eccentric. It's truly a great honor for someone so young to achieve such greatness."

"That old guy initially didn't want to tell me about it. If I hadn't accidentally seen him and Ann having dinner together and forcefully questioned him, he definitely wouldn't have said anything."

"Of course, he didn't want to tell you. If you knew his student made it onto the list, you would definitely use your connections to get her work without paying a penny," Vito Curtis grumbled, leaning on his cane.

Randy Torres said, his face full of shock. "You actually guessed right!

"But I had Ann paint two copies, one for you and one for me. I think that's fair, right?"

Vito Curtis rolled his eyes. "That won't do. Ann, I'll give you the money later."

Ann hurriedly shook her head. "Vito Curtis, you're being too polite. Let's just consider it as a gift, it's been a long time since I visited Mr. Reginal. I've been negligent."

"Don't scare her like that. Vito Curtis wouldn't care about these things," Randy Torres said, patting her shoulder.

Emma looked on.

Heaven knows how much she wanted a painting.

"Oh, by the way, I came over today to invite you all to Ann's art exhibition." Randy Torres took out dozens of tickets from his pocket and placed them on the table, "Don't forget to come!"

"And Emma, Ann's sister will give a speech at the school, you must go and listen to her experience," Vito Curtis said.

Emma nodded her head. "Definitely!"

Luann glanced at the date of the art exhibition, furrowing her brows.

Vito Curtis noticed that something was wrong with her expression and asked urgently, "Luann, what's the matter?"

Luann looked up at the sound of his voice and said softly, "Grandpa, I might not have time to go."

"Are you talking about work? Don't worry, Grandpa will give you time off. Come and support Ann," Vito Curtis said.

Luann felt a bit frustrated.

She just received a call today and was told to submit three pieces of artwork within three days.

With the time taken up by work and going to see Ann's art exhibition, there just wouldn't be enough time.

Although Myron didn't know why Luann was worried, he still spoke up, "Grandpa, in a few days, I need Luann's help with something, so I can't go either."

Upon hearing this, Lily immediately mocked, "Help you with something?"

"You stay at home every day, what can you possibly need help with?"

Diana smiled lightly, displaying an elegant demeanor.

"Sister, that's not fair. Joshua also stays at home, doesn't he?"

Joshua's hand holding the tickets trembled slightly.

Wow.

He clearly didn't say anything, so how did he inexplicably get criticized?

Lily glanced at the lackluster Joshua.

"At least Joshua is still trying. But Myron, I really have to criticize you.

"At least as a married man, you can't always let your wife support you, right?

"Listen to the rumors outside, it's all messed up.

"If I were you, I'd be too embarrassed to go out."

Luann's red lips curled up, her smile growing.

"When it comes to the topic of supporting a husband, Aunt should be more experienced than me.

"Besides, Grace, who did these despicable things, still has the nerve to show up in public. You don't need to worry about others, you should worry about your own child first."

Lily was irritated but she had nothing to say.

Ann timely resolved the embarrassment.

"It's okay. If you don't have time, I won't force it."

"As long as one or two of you can come, it's already a great honor."

With such a comparison, Lily felt even more that Luann was sharp-tongued, with no gentleness that Ann had.

After dinner, Luann and Myron went back first.

The others gradually went upstairs, leaving only Vito Curtis, Ann, and Lily in the living room.

"Vito Curtis, where is Grace? Is she off filming again?" Vito Curtis felt a surge of anger when this person was mentioned.

"She is being punished."

Ann nodded lightly, then sighed. "I really wished Grace could attend my art exhibition. I remember when we were young, Grace and I made a promise. She would become an actress and I would become a painter. When the time came, I would book the entire theater for her movie, and she would come to admire my artwork."

"But unfortunately, it seems like there won't be an opportunity for that this year..." Vito Curtis shifted his eyebrows.

Lily quickly added, "Yes, Dad.

"Grace told me earlier that no matter how busy she was if Ann had an art exhibition, she would cancel everything to go see it," Lily said promptly.

Vito Curtis said solemnly, "Alright, let her go then,"

At least they received precious artwork from Ann. They had to give her that much face.

Lily rose up delightedly. "Then I'll go pick Grace up!"

"Yes."

Grace had been staying in the wine cellar for so long that when she came out, she immediately developed a high fever and fell into a coma.

Lily hurriedly called the family doctor to administer a shot to Grace.

Upon coming out, they found Ann waiting outside and not leaving.

"Ann, thank you," Lily gratefully spoke.

If Ann hadn't casually mentioned those two sentences, Grace would probably still be locked up and unable to come out!

Ann smiled gently. "It's nothing, just a small matter."

"Besides, I believe Grace wouldn't intentionally harm Ms. Weaver."

Lily clenched her teeth. "It's Luann's own fault! My daughter is not a ruthless person like that. Clearly, Luann was the one at fault first!"

Ann lowered her gaze, her long eyelashes trembling slightly.

"This is your family matter. I don't want to meddle in it."

"I'm willing to help Grace because we have been friends since we were little."

"Now that the person has been released, I will leave first then."

Lily nodded. "Okay."

Watching Ann's departing figure, Lily let out a long sigh.

What an honorable thing it would be if such a caring and outstanding woman could become her daughter-in-law!

"Miss, she's awake!"

Lily immediately turned around and closed the door behind her.

Grace was incredibly weak, lying on the bed with no strength.

"Mom..."

Seeing her like this, Lily's eyes instantly turned red, and tears streamed down her face.

"My dear daughter, you have suffered so much!"

A flash of resentment appeared in Grace's dull eyes, "Wilber...what happened to Wilber? How did Grandfather handle him?"

Lily avoided eye contact, not wanting to face this question directly.

"Grace, you are very weak now, so don't talk too much," Lily said.

"Drink some water, rest early, let's talk about anything tomorrow."

Hearing this, Grace immediately coughed excitedly.

"Mom!

"Tell me whether Wilber got heavily punished by Grandpa."
