Chapter 152 Nicholas, the Singer

Not long after, Mr. Caden called Andrew and politely refused the latter’s request.

In response, Andrew only laughed coldly. After ending the call, he immediately called Myron and reported the situation.

“The boss of StreamLinx has forgotten the help we once provided him. If it weren’t for you, their company would’ve gone under a long time ago.”

Myron Curtis remained indifferent. He said casually, as though he was discussing lunch plans, “Very well. Let’s acquire the company then.”

"Yes, sir."

This would teach Mr. Caden a lesson about Myron’s power.

It only took ten minutes before StreamLinx changed owners.

A team of security guards entered Mr. Caden’s office, informing him that he needed to leave.

"What’s the meaning of this?"

At this time, Andrew strolled, dressed in sharp grey tailored suit and a neatly knotted tie. He stood at about five foot nine. He said expressionlessly, “Mr. Caden, our boss gave you a chance, but you didn’t know to appreciate it. I need to clear out this office for him. Who knows if he might come in here someday if he’s in a good mood?”

Mr. Caden was perplexed. He asked, “What do you mean by this?”

Andrew casually picked up the keyboard on the desk and tossed it aside. After it hit the floor with a crisp sound, he said coldly, “What I mean is that this company is no longer yours.”

Then, Andrew turned to the security guards and said nonchalantly, “Throw him out.”

Two security guards held each of Mr. Caden’s arms, ignoring his roar of protest as they dragged him out of the office.

Following that, Andrew shifted his gaze to the trembling secretary and asked, “Do I need to tell you what to do next?”

The secretary shook her head frantically as her fingers typed rapidly on the keyboard.

Not long after, Juliet Weaver’s livestream suddenly went dark.

"What the heck?"

"What happened? Is there something wrong with the app?"

"What happened? Is she banned for violating the rules?"

Before more people could comment, a notification from StreamLinx appeared at the top of the comment section.

[The account belonging to Juliet Weaver has been permanently removed from our platform for engaging in vulgar activities and maliciously provoking other live streamers.]

A few photos were also attached below the announcement. They were photos of Juliet’s secondary accounts, which she had used to leave hate comments on other live streamer’s channels.

If it weren’t for the reveal of Juliet’s phone number and ID number, which were used to register for her anonymous accounts, Juliet’s fans would not have believed the usually gentle Juliet was capable of spewing such venom.

On the other side, Juliet was horrified when she discovered that she had been stopped from withdrawing funds from her account due to the violation.

Fuming, she contacted customer service only to be informed that due to the nature of the violations, she could not access the funds in her account.

“You thieves! Robbers!” Juliet cursed angrily.

Alas, the line went dead.

“They hung on me?” Juliet muttered in disbelief.

When she tried to call back, she could not get through at all. She slumped to the floor, at a loss.

At this moment, her phone rang. It was a message from Matthew.

“Meet tomorrow night at 8 in front of the hotel downtown.”
Juliet stared her phone in disbelief. Her life was crumbling, but this guy was still trying to shoot his shot? After a moment, she replied to the message.

“My account is frozen, and I can’t access my money…”

Matthew replied, “So? Are you having second thoughts?”

Before Juliet could reply, Matthew sent another message.

“It’s fine if you decide to back out. I’ll share our chats so everyone can have a look at them. I advise you not to think about giving me some excuse tomorrow. If I don’t see you tomorrow, you know what will happen.”

Juliet was enraged. She hurled her phone to the ground as her face twisted into an expression of fury.

“He dares to threaten me? Ha, as if I need his measly millions. If he thinks he has the upper hand, then he’s sorely mistaken!”

Luann Weaver was so engrossed in cooking that she was oblivious to what was going on. When she was done, she served the steaks and called Mrs. Weaver down.

Just as Myron was about to eat, Old Mrs. Weaver said reproachfully and mercilessly, “Do you think you can just sit down and eat without lifting a finger? Go back to work!”

Just as Myron Curtis was about to dig in, the old lady cut him off mercilessly.

"But I thought I’d help Luann cut her steak and serve her,” Myron protested weakly.

"No need, no need! You should use time to learn how to cook instead!” Mrs. Weaver continued to chide Myron. However, when she turned to look at Luann, her expression softened greatly as she said, “Here, Luann. Try this.”

After a brief moment of silence, Myron retorted, “Isn’t that what I said I’d do?"

"Nonsense! I was just giving Luann an extra helping of my love!"

When Luann finally logged into her account on her computer, she was stunned.

"Huh? Why is there so much money in my account?"

Myron explained, “It’s from Grandma. Just accept it.”
Luann, touched by Mrs. Weaver’s kindness, looked over and said softly, “Thank you, Grandma.”

After lunch, Luann decided to take a nap in her room. However, just as she was about to doze off, her phone suddenly rang. Someone had sent her a song.

She yawned and rolled over before she played the song. After listening to the song, she sent a reply.

“Wow, a new song! It's so good! Amazing! Such a beautiful melody, and the lyrics are heart-wrenching lyrics.”

Under the other party’s name, she saw the word, ‘Typing…’.

However, only after five minutes had passed did she receive a reply.

“…”

Luann replied with a question mark.

The other party was Nicholas. He replied, “You do remember that this is the song you composed and wrote last year, right? I only recorded it and released it recently.”

Luann was dumbfounded. She replayed the song and listened to the lyrics again. After a moment, she replied, “Hahaha. No wonder it sounds so familiar.”

“So I guess all those compliments earlier were self-praise?”

Before Luann replied, Nicholas sent another message.

“The label said I’ve only been singing solo so far and that it’s time for me to do a duet. I’ve been thinking about that, but I still haven’t found a suitable candidate…”

Luann smiled slightly as she replied, “Wow, your hints can’t be any more obvious…”

“Is that so? Anyway, I’ll be passing by your place tomorrow. Why don’t we grab a meal together?”

Luann thought about it for a moment. Tomorrow was the last day of her second contest with Joshua. As such, she replied, “I’m only free the day after. Will you be passing by my place then?”

After ending the conversation, Luann lay back on the bed. However, her mind were surging with all kinds of thoughts.

She murmured to herself, “What’s Joshua doing now? Is he still scheming, adamant on obtaining that contract?”
