Chapter 375 Are You Going to Blacklist Me?

In the top artist's office at Dawn Talent Agency, the sound of stuff breaking echoed like a bad movie scene.

People were eavesdropping outside, but no one had the guts to go in.

“What’s going on?”

“Grace screwed up big time.”

“It’s all over Facebook. James’s rep is trashed.”

“Shh, if James hears you, you’re toast.”

James stood by the window, hands behind his back. Broken glass and papers were everywhere.

“Get in here!” James growled.

Someone nervously cracked the door open and stepped in. “What do you need, James?”

James didn’t even turn around, but his anger was like a storm. “Get Grace back here!”

“We got her the earliest flight. She should be on the plane now.”

However, James did not wait for Grace to come over. “Where is she?”

“She said she hurt her foot and needs to hit the hospital first. She’ll see you tomorrow.”

James laughed coldly. “I’ve been too soft on her.”

He grabbed his car keys and stormed out.

At the VIP hospital room, James kicked the door open. Grace was on the bed, tears all over her face. She glanced at James but didn’t say a word.

James shut the door and pulled up a chair. “Grace, what the hell are you doing?”

Grace’s eyes were red. “Am I causing trouble? If it weren’t for Luann, would I be like this?”

James sighed. “You think I don’t see the news? Just tell me, did you trash the dress Sunflower was gonna showcase?”

Grace stayed silent.

James snorted. “I’ve always given you the best. Grace, I don’t owe you anything! Do you know how hard I worked to get you into the Fashion Week? How many times I had to swallow my pride?”

James almost shouted, his chest heaving. “Grace, you’ve really let me down! I’ve invested years in you, promoting you, wanting you to succeed. But you do this. It’s all ruined!”

Grace got it. She looked at James with red eyes. “So you’re gonna blacklist me?”

James glared. “Blacklist you? The company’s deciding what to do. You’ve pissed off a big brand and messed up at an international event.”

Grace murmured, “You’re not gonna help me?”

“Grace!” James slammed the table.

Grace’s heart skipped a beat.

“I’ve helped you countless times! Protected you! You think I can always save you? This time, I can’t help you.”

Grace's throat tightened. She tried to speak but couldn’t. Bitterness and helplessness washed over her.

After a long pause, she let out a bitter laugh. "Whatever."

She had no dignity left in front of Luann. What else was there to lose?

Seeing her so down, James patted her shoulder. "Don’t be too discouraged. Even if the company blacklists you, it won’t be forever. After a year, we’ll find a way for you to come back."

Grace shut her eyes, tears streaming down her face.

"Your fans will back you up. I'll get the PR team to whip up some posts. You should post an apology online, maybe even a video."

Grace's throat tightened again. She stubbornly said, "I ain't apologizing."

"Grace!" James's tone sharpened. "What are you doing?"

Grace said firmly, "I won't apologize to Luann. Even if I'm blacklisted for life and never return to the industry. I won't bow to her!"

James hesitated. "You're... nuts, absolutely nuts!"

He stood up, done with her, and left. Grace was alone on the hospital bed, lost in thought.

James sat in his car.

Grace's assistant pleaded, "James, you gotta help Grace! She can't be blacklisted like this! There’s gotta be a way to fix this, right?"

James rubbed his temples in frustration, looking at a new post from the Fashion Week on Facebook.

They had posted dozens of pictures of a younger, innocent-looking Luann smiling at the camera, each labeled with the year, location, and time.

[Wow, Luann has been beautiful since she was young!]

[A natural face is just different, so pleasing to look at!]

[Oh my, those big eyes are so captivating!]

[So what’s Grace gonna do? Shouldn’t Sunflower make a statement?]

[To be honest, this wasn’t that complicated to begin with.]

[Grace’s fans are still arguing, saying it’s just a fall and not a big deal.]

[Check out the post from Grace’s fan club, see for yourself.]

A group of people rushed over.

They saw the poster passionately writing a long post.

Grace Fan Club commented: [Is it fun to make a big deal out of nothing? Grace isn’t a professional model, just having the guts to stand on stage is amazing. Why don’t you encourage her instead of constantly blaming her? No one wants to fall on stage, everyone wants to walk the whole way perfectly. If you look closely, you’ll see it wasn’t Grace’s fault! The heel of her high heel broke! I really don’t get it, other people’s high heels weren’t that high, why were Grace’s 7.87 inches? I think it was intentional! As for the accusations, how is that possible? Grace is the kindest person in the world, she wouldn’t even step on an ant, how could she do something so malicious as to blame others? I hope the Fashion Week official and Sunflower’s designer come out and apologize to Grace! Just because Grace is less famous, you think she’s easy to bully?]

After reading, everyone had the same reaction.

[Are you Grace’s anti-fan?]
