Chapter 378 Proposing Again
The sudden ruckus didn't even make Holly flinch. She just rolled her eyes and swatted Eddy's hand away. "I almost got busted! Don't ask me to pull this stunt again. I can't deal."
Eddy just laughed, his eyes sparkling with mischief, and plopped down across from her. He waved the barista over to clear the table and ordered some fresh desserts. "If this goes off without a hitch, there won't be a next time."
Holly sighed and nodded. "Yeah, but Myron really put a lot of thought into this."
"I did too," Eddy said, grabbing Holly's hand and pressing it to his chest. "Feel that?"
His heartbeat was strong and steady under her palm.
The barista came over with a tray and, seeing this, cleared his throat.
Holly blushed. She awkwardly pulled her hand back, not knowing where to look.
She quickly changed the subject. "Myron's idea is great. I think Luann will definitely be moved!"
Eddy nodded. "But Luann trusts you the most. It's easy for you to deceive her."
Holly lifted her chin proudly. "Of course, Luann and I are closer than sisters!"
They were each other's light. After a pause, Holly felt a bit guilty. "It's my first time doing something like this. I really feel bad for Luann."
It was unclear how long they had been on the private jet.
Finally, the pilot spoke up, "Ms. Weaver, we've reached the island. We have about ten minutes before we can land."
Luann furrowed her brow. "Can we land?"
This was an undeveloped island on the easternmost coast, called Heart Island, about a hundred miles from the nearest city.
The island's vegetation was mostly shrubs, rugged and steep, with extremely clear water.
When the light was good, deep-sea visibility could reach up to sixty-five feet, revealing various tropical fish and coral reefs.
Experts had explored the island, noting its abundant freshwater resources, over three thousand plant species, and various rare trees.
The island was roughly heart-shaped, which made it unique and left it undeveloped, maintaining its primitive ecology.
"Don't worry; we can land," the pilot reassured her, having already received signals from below, along with landing spots and lights.
Ten minutes later, the private jet landed smoothly.
As soon as Luann got off the plane, she felt the sea breeze hit her face.
"So dark; it really is a deserted island." Luann looked around; it was pitch black.
Only a faint light ahead seemed to beckon her forward.
"Did I come to the wrong place? Or did Holly give me the wrong location?" Luann muttered, cautiously walking towards the light.
Soon, she found the source. It was a small drone, quietly lying on the ground.
"What's this?"
On the drone was a bright red card. Luann bent down, picked it up, and opened it. It was a photo of her and Myron. She blinked in surprise.
Suddenly, the sky lit up. The dark night seemed to be torn open.
Light burst forth. Luann looked up.
Thousands of drones filled the sky, forming words.
'Luann'
'I love you'
'I will protect you for a lifetime'
Finally, the drones formed a sparkling rose, swaying in the air. Luann was stunned.
In the next second, something clicked under her feet. Countless lights spread out, illuminating half the sky.
Rose petals fell, covering the path she had walked.
A cool breeze blew, carrying a familiar scent.
"Is this lavender?" she murmured.
Where the light passed, the true scene was revealed.
A vast sea of lavender surrounded her, with hundreds of thousands of plants swaying in the wind, looking like a sunset under the hazy orange light.
The fragrance lingered, fresh and elegant.
On the other side of the rose-petal path, Myron, tall and graceful, with a gentle smile, walked towards her against the light.
Myron walked slowly, each step serious and earnest.
Time and the scene seemed to stretch out.
Luann stared blankly at Myron until he stood in front of her.
She couldn't snap out of it. Last time, she had missed Myron's carefully prepared ceremony in her rush to go abroad. She thought he might not propose again. But unexpectedly...
Myron's lips curved into a smile, his chiseled features softening. His coat gently lifted by the wind.
Such a noble and god-like Myron, elegantly knelt on one knee before her. He lowered his head and opened a delicate little box.
A sparkling Pink Star, enough to make countless women swoon, quietly shone its light.
"Luann. Will you marry me?" Myron's voice was a bit hoarse.
A short sentence, but it was the result of countless rehearsals.
Luann bit her lip lightly, tears welling up and falling uncontrollably. "Why are you doing this? We're already married, and why talk about getting married again?"
Luann was moved to tears.
Myron looked up. The light outlined his sharp features, so dazzling. "But I don't want to shortchange you. What other girls have, you should have too. So, will you marry me?"
Luann choked up, "Of course, of course I will!"
Myron smiled gently. He slowly picked up the ring and slid it onto Luann's ring finger.
After putting it on, he gently closed his eyes and placed a loyal kiss on the back of her hand.
Countless fireworks exploded twenty meters away, lighting up the sky.
Colorful fireworks spread out, blurring her vision.
Myron stood up, handing her a small book.
"What's this?" Luann was puzzled.
Myron chuckled. "A gift for you."
