Chapter 103 Greedy Souls
Juliet stood there dumbfounded.
For a moment, she forgot to let go of the knife.
That familiar expression, those familiar words.
It made Juliet feel as though she was looking into a mirror.
Holly's act had begun, and tears fell from her eyes like loose pearls.
Being naturally cute and petite, Holly already had a significant advantage over Juliet.
Juliet, in a panic, tried to explain, "Wilber, I didn't..."
"Enough!"
Wilber stared at Juliet with irritation, disappointment filling his eyes.
"I used to think you were a kind woman, but I never expected you to do something like this behind my back!"
"If I hadn't woken up, would you have hurt Holly with that knife?"
Juliet's face turned pale, and she murmured in disbelief, "You don't believe me?"
"After being together for so long, how could you not know what kind of person I am?"
Wilber felt a pang in his heart as he watched Juliet's faltering figure.
Before he could think it over, Holly spoke softly, biting her lip.
"The first time I saw Miss Juliet, I didn't expect her to be this kind of woman..."
"Wilber, you don't know."
"While you were still unconscious, I was the one running around, paying for your medical treatment and even peeling apples for you."
"I thought I would be the first person you saw when you woke up, but Miss Juliet wanted to chase me away without any explanation."
"Didn't you say that you two had already broken up?"
Juliet gritted her teeth in anger and fury, feeling like her scalp was on fire!
"Holly!"
"You're clearly talking nonsense!"
"I was the one who paid for the doctor and peeled the apples for Wilber!"
Holly weakly raised her finger, and there was a visible cut on it, with beads of blood oozing out.
"Wilber, it's all my fault for being so clumsy and hurting my hand while peeling the apples."
"It's the first time I've ever peeled an apple for someone else, not even my parents had shown me how."
Holly's softness had Wilber's heart was completely won over.
"Juliet, stop trying to defend yourself!"
"Get out! I don't want to see you anymore!"

"Leave!"
Tears filled Juliet's eyes, and her body trembled uncontrollably.
She never expected to be defeated by her own familiar methods!
As she looked at Wilber's unmasked annoyance, Juliet turned around to leave.
But her clothes were tugged, causing her disheveled hair to hurt a little too.
"Miss Juliet, please wait. You forgot your bag."
Juliet forcefully grabbed it and walked away without looking back.
As she passed through the safety exit, she saw Luann standing there.
One step forward.
Juliet choked up a bit.
"Are you satisfied now?"
"Wilber is finally back by your side!"
Luann looked at her calmly.
"You can use your tactics to snatch him away from me."
"But others can also use the same tactics to snatch him away from you."
"Besides, even if garbage is wrapped in the best packaging, it's still garbage when opened."
"Do you really think that everyone, like you, enjoys collecting other people's discarded junk?"
As Juliet watched Luann walk away, she let out a low, desperate roar.
"Do you think I will let you succeed?"

Juliet angrily walked all the way home, while people she encountered pointed and whispered at her.
Juliet took out her phone and took a selfie, but found nothing amiss.
"What's wrong with them!"
Muttering softly, she quickened her pace.
Only when she returned to her room to prepare for a shower did she notice something.
"Ah! ah ah!"
"Holly!"
On top of her shiny black hair, there was a piece of bubblegum, which had tangled and intertwined a whole section of her hair into a messy clump.
Juliet tried everything, but couldn't get rid of it.
In the end, she picked up a pair of scissors and directly cut off that tangled hair.
Staring at the hair she had cut off, she gritted her teeth, and her eyes flickered with a fierce light.

Inside the hospital room, Wilber was coaxing Holly.
There wasn't a single part of his body that wasn't in pain, yet he didn't want to let go of this opportunity and continued with sweet words pouring out of his mouth.
"You were scared, right?"
"I didn't expect Juliet to turn out like this either."
"Don't be afraid, I'm here."
"I will keep protecting you like I did last night."
Holly nodded, looking a bit helpless, and picked up the apple that had rolled onto the floor, covered in dust.
With teary eyes, she gazed at him.
"It's all Miss Juliet's fault for ruining the feelings I had for you."
"This was the first apple I ever peeled, and it went to waste like this."
Wilber couldn't bear to see her disappointed and opened his mouth directly.
"How could it be a waste?"
"I happen to be hungry."
"Feed it to me quickly!"
Holly went from crying to laughing, and in her eyes, there flickered a mischievous glint.
"For real?"
"Really!"
After feeding Wilber the apple, Holly didn't leave but silently stayed by his side.
Calling it staying by his side was actually her leaning into the couch and playing games, inviting several paid companions to play together.
Until a message from Eddy popped up.
【I saw you're pretty good at driving, there happens to be a car race coming up, do you want to participate?】
Holly quickly typed a response.
If someone were to participate, it should be Luann.
Before finishing her sentence, she suddenly remembered something and deleted it all.

Holly rolled her eyes.

Holly's eyes lit up.
【What time? When? Send me the address! 】
After agreeing on a meeting place, Holly happily got up and found an excuse to leave.
Unexpectedly, Luann called.
"Where are you? Let's go out for dinner tonight."

Holly eyed the LV bag and could only decline her best friend's invitation.
Luann propped her chin with her hand, lazily flipping through one design drawing after another.
"What's up?"
"Hehe, I'll go get my bag."
Holly responded happily and told her about the racing event that Eddy mentioned.
Luann, being rich and confident, spoke up, "I'll give you ten LV bags. Come over tonight and have dinner with me, help me handle something."
Holly's eyes instantly lit up like stars.
"Alright, alright, no problem!"
After finishing the conversation with Luann, she opened Eddy's chat box and swiftly typed a message.
[How about going to The Vintage Mirror for dinner? We'll talk there!]

Holly happily shook her head.
That way, she would have eleven bags!
