Chapter 76 The Good Man
Luann angrily washed her face and turned her head, only to see the man wearing a wicked smile.
"Adolph, are you looking for trouble?!"
Seeing Luann as she always was, displaying her angry and threatening demeanor only in front of them, made him even more proud.
"Come, come, come. Hit me, hit me on the face."
"As long as it's my beloved Luann who hits me, big brother won't even frown!"
Luann glared at him fiercely.
"Where is the head of the family?"
"He's not at home."
"Where did he go?"
"Traveling the world."
Luann: "Are you kidding me? The company's bidding is about to start, and the head of the family went out at this time?"
Adolph patted Luann's slender shoulder and forcefully smeared the oil on her.
"He didn't just leave, he has been gone for a month. That old guy, you know he won't come back until he's had his fill."
Luann disgustedly shook off his hand.
"And what about the elder brother?"
Adolph immediately frowned; his face full of worries.
"You just didn't want to see me, huh?"
Luann took out her phone.
Adolph walked towards the kitchen, and a light and ethereal voice floated through the flowing air.
"Don't bother looking for him, it's futile."
"The master assigned him a task that he still hasn't completed, and yet he dares to come back?"
"Is he dreaming?"
"Moreover, if he finds out that you secretly married another wild man and got registered, he won't let you leave the mansion."
Luann furrowed her delicate eyebrows.
She gave up on the idea of making a phone call.
Half an hour later, Adolph began bringing out exquisite dishes, one after another, filling the table full of abundance.
"Sweetheart, come and wash your hands quickly and join me for dinner."
Luann sat beside him, somewhat absent-minded. Adolph put on gloves and peeled the lobster for her. He was extremely skilled at it, as if he frequently did it. Soon, a small mountain piled up in the small bowl.
"Try it and see if your second brother has culinary talents," he said.
Luann picked up five pieces of lobster meat with her chopsticks and tasted them. They were spicy and flavorful, thoroughly satisfying.
"It's delicious!"
"As long as you like it, then eat more."
A smile formed at the corner of Adolph's lips, and the narrow eyes were filled with joy and love, unwaveringly peeling a whole pot of lobsters. The fingertips were sore from peeling, but he persevered without getting tired.
After finishing the meal, Adolph went back to the kitchen and prepared an exquisite fruit platter, handing it to Luann.
Luann sank into the soft sofa, half-closed her dark eyes, and lazily glanced at it.
"I'm full now, I can't eat anymore."
Adolph heard her and walked back to the kitchen again.
"Then I'll make you a cup of tea, to help with the digestion!"
The servants stood on the side, bewildered and unable to intervene.
"What's wrong with Second Young Master? He seems like a completely different person today..."
"And I never knew Second Young Master had such good cooking skills!"
"Is he new? Scenes like this used to happen almost every day four years ago!"
"After all, the only person who can make Second Young Master willingly step into the kitchen is Miss Third."
Adolph busied himself and served by Luann's side.
"By the way, are you coming with me tomorrow for the bidding?"
Luann yawned, her face leaning against Adolph's shoulder.
"Of course, otherwise this trip would've been a waste."
Adolph rumbled in agreement.
"It's also a good idea for you two to meet."
"Hey, hey, hey, why are you so lifeless as soon as you come back?"
"Come on, let's go out with your second brother!"
Luann reluctantly kicked his waist.
"What are we playing? I'm tired, I want to sleep."
Adolph agilely dodged her attack and pulled her up from the sofa.
"It's been so long since we siblings met, we should have some fun, right?"
"Let's go, the bar is hosting a masquerade party tonight, let's join the festivities."
After saying that, he didn't give Luann any chance to refuse the opportunity by dragging her up the stairs. With a bang, the door closed.
"Quickly change into a nice outfit, don't embarrass your second brother!"
As the sky gradually darkened, more and more people filled the bar. The red and green lights, along with the deafening music, created a harmonious atmosphere. In the center of the bar, two slender men were sitting.
Eddy held a glass of wine in his hand and glanced through the crowd of women with his flirtatious eyes.
"Not bad, she's exactly my type."
Under Myron's black mask was an icy expression on his face.
In a cold and deliberate tone, he said, "Is this what you called an urgent matter?"
Eddy chuckled, placing his hand on his shoulder.
"Don't worry, I'll never tell your wife."
"It's rare to go out, but you're stuck in the company every day. How boring."
"Life is meant to be enjoyed."
Myron got up. But Eddy held him back.
"Why are you in a hurry? Now you're starting to act like a good man?"
The killing intent intensified in Myron's dark eyes, piercing him like small knives.
"Wanna die?"
Eddy raised his hands.
"Spare me."
Just then, two people entered the bar from outside.
Luann took the white mask handed by the waiter and glanced around the bar with a serene gaze.
Not realizing it, two pairs of surprised eyes fell upon her.
"Whoa whoa... is that Luann?"
Eddy noticed it quickly and was about to remind Myron, but he found Myron's eyes fixed on her the moment she entered. Adolph reached out and took her mask.
"Baby, let me help you put it on."
"Okay."
Adolph gently gathered her flowing black hair, his movements gentle and slow. Watching their intimate scene, Myron's fingers instantly clenched, emitting a strong chill from his body!
Eddy shuddered in shock.
"What's going on here? But I have to admit, that man is quite handsome!"
Myron's face turned dark, his gaze icy and sharp. Adolph hugged Luann and arrived at a good spot near the bar, ordering a few bottles of fine wine and chatting happily.
Eddy nudged Myron with his shoulder, smirking.
"Aren't you going over to say hello?"
For some reason, he inexplicably anticipated this turn of events!
Luann didn't even notice their presence. In front of her, Adolph had arranged exquisite pastries specially for her, and she ate them bite by bite.
"Lil sister, you got some on your lips. With your behavior, how can your second brother rest assured?"
Adolph took a tissue and gently wiped it for her.
Luann snatched it back.
"Thanks, I'm not a child. I can wipe it myself."
Adolph reproached her.
"But your second brother still worries about you, especially since you married such an ugly man. It breaks his heart. If things get too difficult, just…
