Chapter 320 Who's Deaf and Who's Blind

Randy burst into the room at Mario's call, his anger radiating off him.
Ignoring the current situation, he immediately launched into a tirade against Myron and Luann. "You heartless monsters! How could you be so cruel? Regardless of anything, Ross is still an elder. Is this how the younger generation treats their elders? Do you think you can hold someone's life in your hands like that?"
Vito, confused by what he was hearing, got up with the help of his cane, saying, "Randy, what nonsense are you spouting?"

Randy waved his hand dismissively, "Vito, stay out of this! This has nothing to do with you! If you can't educate them, I will! I've already posted the video online, Myron. If you have any conscience left, release Ross immediately! He's been missing for days!"

Still puzzled, Vito asked, "What are you talking about? Just calm down."
"Stay out of it!" Randy snapped.

Vito's face was full of bitterness. He didn't want to get involved either, but Myron and Luann were people Randy could just shout at.

"Try to calm down first. Don't you like Avoida? Let me tell you something..."
"Myron!" Randy roared, "Are you deaf or blind? I'm standing right here talking to you. Can't you see me? Can't you hear me?"

At the sound of his name, Myron finally lifted his head. His gaze was cold and devoid of warmth, his dark eyes deep and unfathomable, like the mysterious and alluring ocean. His perfectly chiseled jawline formed a beautiful arc, his handsome face marred by an unshakeable aura of hostility and gloom. A storm seemed to brew within him.

Myron spoke coldly, "Are you done?"

Enraged, Randy laughed bitterly and pointed at Myron, turning to Vito to complain, "Did you see that? Did you see that? What a nasty attitude!"
Vito quickly rushed over, grabbing Randy's arm and forcefully pulling his finger back, "Don't point him. Let's talk it calmly. It'll be so awkward if things get out of hand."

Randy scoffed, "I want to see if he can still be this arrogant when things do get out of hand!"

Vito's mouth twitched slightly, "No, I mean you'll be the one who can't back down."

Randy's eyebrows shot up, "What did you say?"

Vito didn't want to further anger Myron. 'Although Myron has changed a lot since being with Luann, if Randy keeps pushing, it'll be hard to resolve the situation, even if Myron wants to give him some face,' Vito thought.
"Today is a family gathering to celebrate Myron and Luann. Why don't you sit down? The kitchen is already preparing the meal."

Randy shook off his hand in frustration,"What do you mean? Are you shielding him? Vito, are you actually shielding him? Do you know that Myron almost threw Ross out of a window at the global art awards ceremony? Do you know that?"

Just as Vito was about to speak, the TV screen flickered and turned on accidentally. It was playing a commercial for baby diapers.

Emma shifted nervously and said, "Sorry, I accidentally sat on the remote. You guys continue."

Randy took a deep breath, trying to regain his composure, "What I mean is..."

"Hello, viewers. Today we bring you the latest news about the global art awards. As you may have seen online, six Americans have made it to the list this year. Let's introduce them one by one."

The scene shifted. The camera began to play a series of clips. First, it showed Ross, Ann, and two other unfamiliar faces. Then, it cut to Myron and Luann. As Luann walked up from the audience, the entire room fell silent. Randy was also momentarily speechless.

Emma muttered under her breath, "Oh my God, why was my mouth open like that? I look so ugly."

Randy watched in stunned silence as Luann walked over to Myron, and the two began their interview. Vito cleared his throat, "Emma, turn off the TV. Can't you see Randy is talking?"

Emma quickly nodded and turned off the TV. But Randy lunged forward and turned it back on, "What is the meaning of this?"

Vito asked with a puzzled expression, "What do you mean?"

"This TV! This replay! What is going on with Luann and Myron?" Randy asked, shocked.

Vito finally caught on and said, " You didn't know? It's all over the internet."

"You've been talking so much. Didn't you wonder why Myron and Luann were there too?"
Randy's mind raced. He hurriedly took out his phone and discovered that the Avoida he had admired for years was right in front of him? How could this be possible?

Luann tilted her head and waved at him, "Hello, Mr. Torres, I'm Avoida." She pointed to Myron beside her. "And he is Ethan."

Randy staggered back a couple of steps, nearly falling. He gripped the edge of the table, his arm trembling, "This can't be real."

Randy's mind was spinning. What had he just said? After a full five minutes under everyone's gaze, he finally let out an awkward laugh,"It's all a misunderstanding, just a misunderstanding."

Randy quickly walked over to Myron and Luann, crouched down, and extended his hand, "I was out of my mind just now. Please don't hold it against me. Myron, I take back everything I said. I'm the one who's deaf, blind, brainless, and stupid."

Myron glanced at him indifferently, saying nothing. Luann, however, out of respect for him and shook his hand briefly.

Still in disbelief, Randy asked again, "Are you really Avoida?" So young? It's unbelievable!
Vito chimed in, "There are plenty of interviews with reporters. You should watch more videos!"
Randy awkwardly rubbed his nose, full of embarrassment. He couldn't believe he had misjudged so badly! Thinking back to the first time he met Luann, he hadn't given this beautiful woman a second thought. He never imagined she was the idol he had admired for years!

"Let's just forget about everything that just happened, okay? Don't be mad at me," he said cautiously. "Can I still buy your work in the future?" This was the only thing he cared about.

If he ended up on a painter's blacklist, he could never buy their work again. Luann smiled graciously, "Of course you can."

She wasn't foolish enough to turn down money.

Vito, hearing this, felt a bit tempted. Although Luann was his granddaughter-in-law, he was too embarrassed to ask her for a painting.

She turned to Vito, saying, "Grandpa, I'll paint a few new pieces for you in a couple of days. You can frame them and hang them in your study."

Randy was stunned for Luann's response.
