Chapter 52 Midnight Racing

After hesitating for 0.05 seconds, Alvin felt relieved.

Girls probably think racing is just casual driving for fun.

She doesn't understand anyway, so I'll just take her for a few laps.

"Well then…"

Luann quickly checked her phone and suggested, "There's a road on Huancheng Second Avenue specifically for racing. Why don't we try there?"

"Sure... I have a few friends, let's invite them too," Alvin replied.

"Alright."

Once Luann left, Alvin opened his WeChat group and sent a message.
【Urgent matter! Taking a girl out tonight! Huancheng Second Avenue, reserve the track for me! Step aside! 】
After sending the message, he immediately sent ten red envelopes worth 200 yuan each.

【Oh, the little devil has grown up? Finally taking a girl out? 】
【Haha, with his skills, who's really taking who out?】
【Message received! Money talks, we'll handle it for you! 】

With everything settled, Alvin's anxious heart finally eased.

During dinner, Luann suggested going racing with Alvin in the evening.

Myron responded coldly after hearing this, "Go if you want."

His reaction seemed indifferent, but Alvin felt a chill down his spine, sensing that something was off.

After dinner, the two of them left the villa and headed for the Second Avenue.

There were many teenagers around Alvin's age standing there.

When they saw Alvin and Luann, they excitedly greeted them.

As Luann inspected the cars, Alvin was pulled away by a group of people who took turns questioning him.

"Damn! This girl is hot!"

"Not bad, my friend. Haven't seen you for a month, and now you're with such a good-looking girl. Which school is she from?"

"You guys better not have any wild thoughts. Alvin cautiously warned these lascivious guys, thinking of his big brother who would kill without hesitation. "She's married, to my older brother... If you want to keep your lives, don't go flirt with her."

Everyone gasped in shock, "No way? Married? Is she already twenty?"

"Yeah, didn't they say you can't get married before twenty?"

Alvin's mouth twitched, gritting his teeth.

He had been fooled by Luann's innocent appearance in the past!

"She's twenty-two!"

"I never would've guessed! I thought she was in elementary school!"

"She looks so young..."

Listening to the group of people chattering like birds, Luann couldn't help but ask, "When can we start?"

Alvin gave everyone a look and pointed at his phone.

Everyone responded with an assuring look and immediately replied, "Coming, coming! We're coming!"

One by one, they got into their cars. After Luann fastened her seatbelt, she reached out her hand to Alvin.

Alvin hesitated for a moment, and his heart raced to 160 beats per minute.
He lowered his brow coyly, feeling ashamed: "Annoying, my big brother is not here, and you are being so proactive..."

As he spoke, he reached out with his hand, as if wanting to hold her hand tightly.

Luann slapped his hand hard, causing Alvin to cry out in pain.

"I asked for a helmet."

Alvin embarrassedly withdrew his hand, trying to conceal his awkwardness: "What helmet? We don't need helmets."

"You're a girl, it's too dangerous for me to take you for a ride. Today I'll let you experience it freely."

Luann responded with an "oh" and said, "Alright then."

Soon, the whistle sounded, and all the cars started at the same time.

Alvin didn't drive fast, so the speed was no different from the privately-owned cars on the main road.

Luann rolled down the window, feeling like they were taking a leisurely drive instead of racing, which reduced some of the fun.

"Did you enjoy it?"

"MH mm."

Luann completely went along with him.

In the end, he easily won first place.

Alvin wanted to show off, but to his surprise, several cool sports cars approached from afar and blocked their way.

"Get out of the car!"

The individuals were tall and muscular, with strong physiques. The sound of smashing windows rang out.

Alvin opened the door and walked out, intentionally protecting Luann inside the car.

"What are you doing? We booked this place for the night."

"Booked?" A dark-skinned man sneered, leaning on Alvin's car with his hand. "Don't you know that Highway 2 is our dedicated training ground? Booking the whole place, now that's truly amusing!"

Alvin's face turned serious. "Sorry, I really didn't know. We made arrangements before coming here, and we've reserved this road. If you have any doubts, you can directly call the person in charge."

"If they're unwilling to give it to us, we can leave immediately."

Alvin's companions also stepped forward.

"Yeah, we paid for it."

The dark-skinned man smirked, showing a malicious expression, his teeth bared.

"It seems like you don't want to make concessions?"

"We paid! Why should we give it to you!"

The dark-skinned man's eyes flashed with hostility. He suddenly kicked Alvin's car hard, causing it to shake.

"Well then, why don't we have a competition? Whoever wins gets the right to use this road, how about that?"

Alvin's expression changed drastically, and he forcefully pushed the muscular man.

"What the hell are you doing! Talk is cheap, stop using your hands!"

The dark-skinned man paused for a moment, then burst into laughter. "You've got guts, kid."

Indeed, Alvin was tall, around 1.8 meters, but he was slim, and compared to this burly man, he seemed as fragile as a little chick.

Luann opened the car door and got out.

Alvin's expression changed, desperately gesturing at her.

The dark-skinned man was dumbfounded when he saw Luann, but he quickly reacted.

"No wonder you didn't let me kick the car, turns out there's a little beauty in the car!"

"A beauty like her shouldn't be playing with these immature kids."
"Come on, follow me. I'll take you for a ride," Alvin said, pointing at his car.

Luann scrutinized him from head to toe.

"Are you a race car driver?" she asked.

The muscular man with dark skin raised his chin, almost reaching for the sky.

"Of course," he replied.

Luann made a sound of surprise. "I couldn't tell. Race car drivers of your caliber really don't look the part. Anyone who doesn't know would think you're just another street thug. Can you not embarrass the reputation of race car drivers?"

The muscular man squinted his eyes, anger evident on his face.

Alvin forcefully pulled Luann and shook his head silently. This situation wasn't in their favor. If a fight were to break out, he wouldn't be able to protect Luann, and he might end up getting severely beaten.

"The girl has quite the guts, I like that," the muscular man said. "As for whether I'm a race car driver or not, why don't you come see for yourself? Then you'll know."

"When that time comes, I'll let you guys pass on not just this road, but even ten others!" he added confidently.

Alvin realized the situation was turning sour and desperately tried to deter him by using the Curtis family's reputation.

"Hey, hey, don't act impulsively! This girl is no ordinary person; she's Myron, the wife of the young master of the Curtis family!"

"You've heard of Myron, right?"

"He wouldn't hesitate to kill!" he warned.

The muscular man burst into wild laughter, his tone full of mockery.

"You mean that guy whose face got disfigured? The one who's too afraid to step out of his house and leeches off others?" he scoffed. "Today, I'm going to have some fun with his woman. I want to see what he can do to me!"
