Chapter 493 First Arrival at The Miller Manor
Luann smiled softly.
Her petite body was framed by a thick embrace, making her look even more delicate.
The two of them snuggled together, exuding a sense of peaceful tranquility.
Luann had oil on her hands, so she turned her face and rubbed Myron's handsome cheek.
"Alright, hurry up and help me with the plates."
Myron responded with a hum, a happy smile spreading across his face.
During dinner, Luann asked, "How much longer until things here are wrapped up? Anna's birthday is coming up soon, and we need to get back to the Miller family. I'm worried we won't have enough time."
Myron thought for a moment, "In the next couple of days."
Luann nodded.
After dinner, Myron took the initiative to wash the dishes. After watching a movie together on the couch, they wordlessly walked into the bathroom.
White foam mixed with rose petals filled the entire bathtub.
Two figures intertwined within.
It was exceptionally sweet.
The lamp on the bedside table was turned on.
A long, slender hand reached over and took a stack of tissues from the box.
When Luann woke up, the bed beside her was already cold.
She lazily rolled over, wrapping all the blankets around herself.
Looks like she could sleep in today.
As she lazed around, Luann fell back asleep.
When she opened her eyes again, it was already 2 PM.
She indulged herself, ordered takeout, and sat on the couch to play.
With Myron not around, she found it quite boring by herself. Might as well play some games!
Thinking of games, a figure immediately popped into Luann's mind.
"Alvin."
Luann called Alvin directly, but his phone was off.
"What the heck?"
Luann sent Alvin a few messages but got no response.
"Forget it, I'll just play by myself."
Without thinking much, Luann got up, went to the study, and turned on the computer.
And so, she spent a few days eating and sleeping, finally waiting for Myron to finish his work so they could go to Unionia together.
As soon as they got off the plane, Adolph was waiting at the airport entrance.
"Finally, you're here."
Adolph let out a long breath.
"I couldn't sleep at all last night, thinking about you guys."
As he spoke, he picked up Luann's suitcase and put it in the trunk.
Luann was indifferent, "What's there to think about?"
"Williams is home, and Jones is back too," Adolph shrugged. "The atmosphere at home is pretty tense. Myron, you better be prepared."
Myron gave a meaningful smile, "Alright."
Luann wasn't worried at all.
After learning about the power behind Myron, she never thought much about it again.
The car drove for a long time and soon arrived at a long street lined with sycamore trees.
Adolph looked out the window and couldn't help but sigh, "I remember when Luann was little, she loved sycamore trees the first time she saw them. Jones had so many planted, and now they've grown so big over the years."
Myron glanced sideways, gazing at Luann's profile.
How could he not understand what Adolph meant?
In the Miller family, Luann was pampered by everyone.
Now, she was leaving this place she had lived in for years to go with him to the Upper West Side.
Adolph felt both reluctant and worried.
He feared that the man Luann had chosen wouldn't treat her as well as the Miller family did.
Luann noticed Myron's gaze and smiled at him, taking his hand proactively.
Though neither of them spoke, Adolph could feel the love flowing between them.
What Myron didn't say was that if Luann liked it, he would have sycamore trees planted all over the Upper West Side.
As long as Luann liked it, that was all that mattered.
Adolph sighed silently.
He seemed to speak lightly and looked relaxed.
But his eyes were filled with gravity.
Jones and Williams were not to be trifled with.
He knew their temperaments best.
They would resort to violence at the slightest disagreement.
And this Myron was clearly not to be messed with either.
Adolph couldn't help but feel anxious for Myron.
But Myron seemed to be on vacation, not in a hurry at all, and even started admiring the scenery outside the window.
The car stopped in front of the mansion.
Dozens of bodyguards came forward to inspect the car.
Adolph felt embarrassed and rolled down the window, "Hey, hey, I'm still here."
"Adolph, Jones ordered that every car must be thoroughly inspected, no matter who is driving it," the bodyguard said respectfully.
Adolph twitched his mouth in frustration.
Luann also rolled down her window at this time.
"Let us in."
Hearing the familiar voice, the bodyguards immediately formed two straight lines.
"Luann, please!"
Their loud voices were completely different from when they stopped Adolph.
Adolph rolled his eyes, "You guys!"
Oh well.
Luann had always received such preferential treatment.
The car was allowed through and drove in.
The three of them got out.
Adolph walked in front.
"I'll lead the way."
Luann nodded.
There was no need to lead the way; Adolph just wanted to protect them.
The living room was as calm as a lake.
The air was filled with a sharp, oppressive atmosphere, making it hard to breathe, as if you could hear a pin drop.
In the reception room, two figures were seated.
Williams, whom Myron had met before, sat upright with a cup of steaming black coffee in front of him.
The other man, with his eyes closed, leaned lazily against the chair, but every inch of his body was tense.
Adolph stepped forward and bowed to the man.
"Jones, Luann and Myron are here."
Jones didn't speak, didn't open his eyes, and didn't give Myron any response.
But Williams, unhurriedly, touched the silver ring on his pinky, staring at Myron with a half-smile, a bloodthirsty look in his eyes.
Adolph had expected this. He turned back and gave Myron a look.
Signaling him to greet Jones quickly.
However.
Myron directly sat in the chair next to Jones.
He picked up the coffee in front of him and took a sip.
"Not bad."
Adolph's heart skipped a beat.
Oh my god!
What is Myron doing?
Can't he be a bit more respectful on their first meeting?
By doing this, isn't he clearly showing that he doesn't take Jones seriously, going head-to-head with him?
Sure enough.
Jones's eyes snapped open.
His face was expressionless, but the lifeless, unwavering aura directly targeted Myron!
