Chapter 102 The Signing of the Agreement
Luann's brain momentarily froze.
She mumbled foolishly, "Huh?"
"You like me..." she continued, "or do you like...using me?"
A faint tremor passed through Myron's chest, accompanied by a pleasing laughter from his throat.
Luann snapped out of it, realizing what she had just said. Her face instantly turned red, embarrassed to her core.
"Both." Myron bluntly replied.
Since that night, he had been yearning for this very moment.
He wanted Luann to belong to him, body and soul.
"So, what's your answer?"
Myron stared intently at her flustered eyes, his heart racing.
That hand that had signed countless multimillion-dollar contracts trembled ever so slightly at this moment.
"I..." Luann parted her red lips, but couldn't give a precise answer.
"Do you think I'm ugly, so you don't want to be with me?" Myron posed a lethal question.
Luann seemed to have found a way to ease the tension, and she continued with this question.
"Myron, I actually think you could try facial reconstruction."
"I know a really skilled doctor who might be able to help you."
A gleam flickered in Myron's dark eyes.
"Are you saying that if I fix my face, you'll agree to be with me?" he asked decisively.
Luann nodded firmly. "Yes!"
"As long as you fix your face, we'll be together!"
Unaware of the victorious smile playing on Myron's lips, Luann confidently declared, "Okay."
"But don't forget what you said today." Myron warned.
Luann forced a smile, saying, "I won't forget, I won't forget, I promise."
"The sex was great."
As soon as she was released, Luann let out a sigh of relief and patted her chest lightly.
Snap --
The next second.
The lights turned on.
Luann squinted due to the sudden brightness.
However, Myron, with an unfathomable expression, walked to the front of the table, wrote a note, and handed it over.
"Sign and press your fingerprint."
Luann "???"
She was someone who kept her promises, there was no need for him to distrust her like this, right?
Facing Myron's unwavering gaze that could not be refused, Luann gave in.
"Fine, fine, fine, I'll sign."
After signing and affixing her seal, Myron picked it up, folded it neatly, and put it in his pocket.
For some reason, Luann looked at his expression as if a hunter had spotted his prey, with an air of surety.
Luann shivered suddenly.
She must be overthinking it.
Considering the severity of Myron's condition, even if he could be cured, it would take a long time.
By the time her mission was complete, she could just slip away.
Looking at Luann's flickering expression, Myron lowered his eyes and hid the fleeting sharpness.
"It's getting late, go rest."
"Okay."
Luann must have agreed, because that night, she had a dream.
She dreamt that Myron had healed his face and came to her, kneeling in front of her with a handsome appearance, proposing to her.
This frightened her, causing her to sit up abruptly.
It was already bright outside.
The sound of an ambulance siren rang out.
"Doctor, how is he?"
Juliet, panting, grabbed the doctor's sleeve, her face full of anxiety.
"It's nothing serious, just some external skin injuries. Let's observe him in the hospital for a while."
Juliet let out a sigh of relief and wiped off the sweat on her forehead.
"Thank you, doctor."
Entering the ward, Juliet looked at Wilber lying on the bed.
His face was pale, with bruises and cuts, clearly not lightly injured.
"What exactly happened?"
Juliet murmured softly, walked to the bedside, poured a cup of hot water, and brought over a chair, holding an apple in her hand and peeling it with a fruit knife.
Click, click, click --
The sound of high heels echoed from outside the door.
Holly, chewing bubble gum, kicked the half-closed door with her shoe and held a pair of sunglasses that covered half of her face.
"Oh, bad timing?"
Juliet glared at her, lowered her head, and continued peeling the apple as if she hadn't seen her.
Holly blew a bubble and burst it with a snap.
"Stop peeling."
"Look at his mouth, can he even open it?"
"You'd better chew it into tiny pieces and feed it to him mouth-to-mouth."
Fury flashed in Juliet's gentle eyes as she clenched the fruit knife tighter and tighter.
"What do you want?"
"Are you trying to take revenge for Luann by picking on me?"
Holly raised an eyebrow, her face full of confusion.
"Revenge?"
"What revenge?"
"You picked up the garbage she didn't want, I haven't even had a chance to thank you, why would I seek revenge?"
"Aunty you think highly of yourself."
Upon hearing the word "aunty," Juliet was furious. She was a year younger than Holly, so why was she being called that?
"Oh dear, calm down," said Holly.
"Look at the crow's feet forming at the corners of your eyes. Tsk tsk, you should take better care of yourself on a regular basis," she continued.
"If not, you won't look good on camera. How will you attract Wilber's attention?"
"Hmm, that's not right," Holly pondered, touching her delicate chin thoughtfully.
"Wilber doesn't just like pretty girls, he also likes wealthy ones," she said.
"When I dangle the keys to my car, he comes running right away," Holly boasted.
This infuriated Juliet, whose suppressed anger was easily ignited.
"Get out!" she exclaimed.
"'Tell me to get out? Who do you think you are?" Holly retorted, tilting her head and provoking her.
Juliet clenched her teeth, stood up abruptly, and dropped the apple she held, causing a sharp fruit knife to point towards Holly.
"If you don't leave, don't blame me for being impolite!" she warned.
Holly fearlessly extended her fair neck, not only refusing to step back but even moving closer.
"Come on, come on, cut me," she taunted.
With her eyes turning red and filled with rage, Juliet trembled, as she raised her hand to stab.
However, a quicker hand reached out and swiftly took the knife away from her.
Smack!
The sound of a crisp slap resonated in the air, accompanied by the popping of a burst bubble.
Luann's gaze turned chilly as she stared coldly at Juliet, her palm still tingling slightly.
Holly teased by sticking out her tongue.
"Come on, come on, come at me."
Juliet's tears flowed down her cheeks as she trembled and said, "Are you... teaming up against me?"
"So, what if we are?" Holly bragged.
Luann pointed the knife directly at Juliet's eyes and ordered, "Leave."
Juliet took a fearful step back.
Knowing Luann's personality, she was definitely capable of doing such a thing.
Just then, Wilber in the bed weakly uttered a sound.
Juliet quickly looked over, only to see Luann silently handing the knife back to her and giving Holly a meaningful glance before swiftly leaving the ward.
Confused, Juliet heard Holly scream, "Miss Juliet, if you don't want me to see Wilber, I won't. Don't point the knife at me, you’re scaring me!"
