Chapter 251: The Pursuit of a Swift Divorce

Even Victor found himself utterly astounded, standing on the periphery of the unfolding drama. Was he hallucinating? Could anyone possibly move with such speed?

Yet, the reality was undeniable—Reese had struck Sophia twice, leaving her dazed and incapable of regainig her composure for a considerable duration. Reese's voice echoed with a chilling coldness, sending shivers down the spines of those within earshot, warding off anyone who dared to approach too closely.

Victor Strong had only just begun to comprehend the true ferocity of Reese, how she seemed to regard everyone as beneath her consideration.

Her arrogance, however, did not appear forced; it was an inherent trait that emanated from her, instilling both fear and respect. In Reese's demeanor, Victor saw reflections of Malcolm's commanding aura.

He had pondered why Malcolm would choose Reese, a woman devoid of notable connections, but now it was starting to make sense. Their personalities bore striking resemblances.

Sophia Linden was inviting disaster by provoking someone far beyond her league.

Oblivious to the impending danger, Sophia believed that since she had severed ties with the Flynn Group, Reese could no longer harm her. However, this was merely wishful thinking.

Her face was aflame with the pain of the day's unfortunate events. First, a slap from Victor Strong, and now manhandled by Reese, she was seething with rage.

"How dare you strike me! Do you think your attractiveness puts you above everything else? I'm no longer part of the Flynn Group, what can you possibly do to me!"

She screamed, disregarding her image, driven solely by the need to vent her frustration.

Reese sneered dismissively, "Clearly, you fail to comprehend your own insignificance, and your mouth doesn't seem to maintain a clean language either."

Before Sophia could even process the situation, Reese was already upon her.

Sophia braced herself for a fight, but Reese was not about to grant her that opportunity. With a swift grip on Sophia's arms, Reese landed several more blows, leaving Sophia incapable of even uttering a cry.

Victor Strong certainly wouldn't dare to intervene. His ignorance of Reese's true stature had been enough to keep him at a distance, and now that he was aware, he wouldn’t dare to approach.

Sophia's face swelled grotesquely, pitifully battered and bruised.

Victor mused to himself that Reese was no ordinary woman—bold beyond measure, decisive, and without hesitation.

If he, a grown man, was intimidated, one could only imagine how Sophia Linden felt.
Sophia Linden was utterly shell-shocked, her senses numbed by pain as Reese discarded her like a piece of trash, disdainfully dusting off his hands.

"If I were you, I'd concentrate on my work at the firm instead of spreading gossip. Ever heard the saying, 'Play with fire and you'll get burned'?"

With that, Reese glided into the office, leaving Sophia Linden standing there, slack-jawed in disbelief.

That evening, after wrapping up his work, Reese returned to the Flynn residence. As soon as he entered the living room, he was met with a buzz of conversation, Everly's voice standing out, discussing something about him.

"Grandpa, you have no idea the chaos Reese stirred up today. All because a female colleague provoked her, she exposed her secrets, and it led right back to a senior executive, Victor Strong, a long-time pillar of the company."

Everly was now cautious about crossing Reese, but that didn't mean she was going to remain passive.

She had been probing into Reese's affairs for some time, to no avail, but this time, Reese had dug her own grave, and she couldn't blame anyone else.

But Everly didn't quite understand Reese either; she wasn't one to shy away from challenges but confronted them head-on.

And Finn Sawyer knew about Victor Strong too. A veteran of the company, he was shocked to hear about his dismissal and Malcolm's ban.

Before he had the chance to delve into what happened, Everly's words caught him off guard—it was Reese, yet again, at the center of the storm.

A fire was building in Finn Sawyer's belly, and it erupted uncontrollably.

"Reese again? Has Malcolm lost his mind? To favor Reese at the expense of the company's big picture?"

Everly watched the scene unfold with glee.

Her aim was to infuriate her grandfather and direct his anger towards Reese. No matter how much Malcolm tried to protect Reese, he couldn't ignore the sentiments of his own family.

In that, Everly was certain. The only chance she saw to bring Reese down was her grandfather's disapproval.

Everly egged on the conversation energetically.

"They say it was just due to some ordinary employee stirring trouble, just because she said something in Reese's presence. We all know how Reese can be; she didn't hesitate to clap back, and that's how Victor Strong got dragged into it."

Finn Sawyer was still skeptical. "I know Malcolm can be hot-headed, but there's no need to fire Victor Strong. At most, he should have let that female employee go."

Everly Reese snorted, "What else could it be? It's got to be because Victor Strong badmouthed Reese without realizing who she was, right in front of Malcolm."

Lately, Everly had made a realization: whenever things didn't go through regular channels, it all seemed to trace back to Reese.

Reese was turning out to be a real curse.

As Finn listened, his anger grew. He grabbed his glass and hurled it, the shattering pieces flying everywhere, startling everyone present.

Only Reese stood at the doorway, an unfazed smile on her face.

Everly sure had a quick mouth.

But indeed, Malcolm didn't need to go so far over someone like her. If she had taken matters into her own hands, it wouldn't have blown up like this.

Now, she wondered whether she should reveal a bit of her true identity to Malcolm.

To show him that his wife wasn't so helpless and could easily handle those who crossed her.

Seeing Grandpa Flynn's fury, Everly immediately tried to calm him.

"Grandpa, don't be mad. Let's ask Malcolm when he gets back. But him indulging Reese like this isn't good. What if others offend Reese? Is he going to risk the company for her?"

Her words left Finn Sawyer deep in thought. He had never imagined that a woman who came into the family under such circumstances could have such a significant impact. It was quite astonishing.

Reese wasn't the type to ingratiate herself with others, so why was Malcolm so fixated on her?

Finn made up his mind instantly. "We need to get those two divorced as soon as possible."

If Reese continued to stay with Malcolm, the Flynn family might truly be ruined by this woman.

At that, Everly was delighted, something she'd been longing for a great while.

"Grandpa, I agree. Reese and Malcolm are mismatched, whether you look at their backgrounds or their family status. How could Reese ever be a match for Malcolm?"

"And if I'm not good enough, do you think you are?" Reese retorted.
