Chapter 350 Mind-Reading Connection

Aiden shook his head after reading. "Haven't seen him."
Reese didn't ask further. "Alright, you can go now."
Aiden, feeling somewhat surprised, said, "Is that all?"
He thought these two would ask more, but he didn't know much himself. The key was to make money, and he had no interest in the secrets of the two organizations.
Staying alive was his priority. After all, knowing too many secrets could quickly turn him into a target, potentially getting him killed by these secrets sooner or later.
Louis found Aiden somewhat amusing. "Sounds like you've got more to say?"
Aiden kept waving his hand. "No, no, I was just wondering. You went through all this trouble to find me just to ask me these things?"
Reese sneered internally; just these things were enough to ruin him.
Louis couldn't be bothered with Aiden and turned to Reese. "Let's go."
After saying that, the two of them ignored Aiden and walked straight out of the alley. Aiden watched their backs as they left, scratching his head.
"What are those two up to?"
Once they got into the car, Reese instructed Louis, "Drive off first."
Louis glanced around and nodded. "Alright."
After driving the car out of the noisy area and to the side of the road, Louis stopped the car. He took out a voice recorder from his pocket and pressed the button, and it had captured Aiden's voice.
Reese, with a straight face, said, "Go process the voice. Remove anything that shouldn't be there. Then get it sent to Malcolm."
"Don't worry, Miss Brooks. I'll take care of it." Louis and the his associates were all proficient in computer-related matters, so handling some voice processing was easy for them. However, he had a question for Reese. "Miss Brooks, there's something I don't quite understand. When you asked Aiden if Harmony Alliance had someone named Malcolm, maybe he knows. If we had pressed him a bit more..."
He meant that perhaps they could have learned something about Malcolm's position within Harmony Alliance from Aiden.
Reese shook her head. "I don't think Aiden really knows about Malcolm in Harmony Alliance. Firstly, everyone knows Malcolm is the president of the Flynn Group and has the Flynn family as his backing. Even Harmony Alliance probably wouldn't dare to easily provoke him. Moreover, given Malcolm's exceptional status, do you think Harmony Alliance would let someone like Aiden know about his identity?"
Louis suddenly realized. "You're right, Miss Brooks. It was my oversight."
"It's not your fault. We all want to know about Malcolm's identity in Harmony Alliance. Now it seems that his identity is indeed not simple. I'm just curious why he's willing to stay in the mess of Harmony Alliance. He should know better than me that in such an organization, problems will arise over time. He's not someone who would risk everything, like the entire Flynn family."
This was the part that puzzled Reese the most.
Louis thought, if Reese was puzzled, then he was even more clueless.
"Miss Brooks, perhaps Malcolm also has his reasons."
"We don't know that. What we know now is that Malcolm's position in Harmony Alliance is definitely extraordinary."
After saying that, Reese collected her thoughts and said to Louis, "Alright, this is not something we should know about. Take care of that recording and then head on. It's getting late, and I need to go back and rest."
She couldn't afford another day of Malcolm spotting her looking half asleep, risking him deciding to give their staff another day off as a result.
Louis checked the time and realized it was indeed late, almost dawn.
"I'll take you back first, Miss Brooks."
"Alright, let's meet at the secret base entrance at 8 a.m. tomorrow. Remember what I said. Keep Calvin out of the loop."
"Okay."
After dropping Reese off, Louis quickly dealt with the matters at hand and found someone to deliver the processed voice recorder to Malcolm.
When Justin pushed open the office door, Malcolm was investigating something about Vincent. He suspected whether Vincent was also related to any organization; otherwise, how would he know.
"Mr. Flynn, someone gave me this to ensure it gets to you. It might clear up your doubts."
"What is it?" Malcolm raised his gaze.
Justin handed over the voice recorder, and Malcolm pressed the button. Several people's voices could be heard inside... "It sounds like Aiden." Justin recognized.
After listening, Malcolm closed the voice recorder, his brows furrowed, a hint of seriousness in his eyes.
"Where is the person who brought this?" Malcolm asked.
Justin replied, "He's already left."
Malcolm didn't ask further because even if the person was there, it wouldn't help. The voices seemed to have been tampered with; someone was trying to conceal their identity intentionally.
Twirling the voice recorder in his hand, Malcolm pondered for a moment before saying, "Go tell Harmony Alliance that there's an issue with Aiden and let them handle it themselves."
Justin didn't understand. "But Mr. Flynn, shouldn't we first find out who the person talking to Aiden is, whether what he said is true, and why this person is helping us? Maybe it's someone from Nolan trying to sow discord."
"No, I've been suspecting there's a mole in Harmony Alliance before but didn't get the chance to look into it. After all, there are so many people in Harmony Alliance. It takes time to investigate thoroughly."
Malcolm hadn't bothered investigating a minor figure like Aiden before. However, the person who reported Aiden had solved his problem.
Justin nodded. "I'll inform the people at Harmony Alliance immediately. But Mr. Flynn, should we first find Aiden to figure out exactly who he talked to?"
Malcolm seemed to have a clue in his mind, but he needed to confirm it.
"Call the staff at home right away and ask if Reese went out tonight."
Justin, after a moment of confusion, instantly understood—Malcolm was suspecting Reese.
He also wanted to know the truth. "Alright, I'll make the call right away."
Justin quickly dialed the staff's number at home and asked, "Clora, is Reese at home?"
"Reese seems to be out. Not sure where she went."
Justin smiled. "Alright, got it. Don't let Mr. Flynn Sr. know about this."
Clora agreed, "Understood."
After hanging up the phone, Justin's admiration for Malcolm grew.
"How did you guess that Reese went to see Aiden, Mr. Flynn?"
"Because spouses have a sort of telepathy," Malcolm said with a slight raise of his eyebrow, a hint of pride in his tone.
Justin's eye twitched with regret for even asking.
