Chapter 471 Miss You So Much
"Not too shabby," Malcolm said with a slight curl of his lips, his pride almost overflowing.
Justin was shocked. "I didn't expect Mrs. Flynn to think the same way as you."
Malcolm said, "Of course, you should know whose wife she is."
Justin's mouth twitched. Why did others treat their wives so indifferently, while Malcolm cherished his so much, almost as important as his life?
Justin said, "Since Reese has already taken care of this for us, it saves us a lot of trouble and lets these websites know that you can't just report dirt on the Flynn Group."
Mentioning Reese, Justin felt invigorated and clenched his fists tightly.
He added, "Mrs. Flynn was amazing, solving such a big problem for us."
Malcolm no longer felt the need to boast; finding such a remarkable wife was a testament to his own discernment.
After leaving, Justin headed straight to the Flynn household. Reese and Calvin, having just resolved the issue, sat exhausted in their chairs amidst numerous coffee cups. After all, it was impossible to finish everything at once; it always took some time.
They had to hack into other systems while also defending their own. If they were discovered while attacking, the other hackers would try to defend; if caught, the risks would be significant.
They had just dozed off for a moment when there was a knock on the door.
Justin asked, "Mrs. Flynn, are you there?"
Reese woke up with a start. "Yes."
Only then did Justin push the door open and enter. Reese got up from her chair.
Reese asked, "What's up? Is there any new situation?"
Justin asked, "I saw the news, Mrs. Flynn. Was it you who did this?"
Judging by the situation, it must have taken a long time, and both of them were exhausted.
Reese didn't hide it. "Yes, it was a last-minute idea."
Justin said excitedly, "This can't be called a last-minute idea; it was simply amazing. Mr. Flynn just thought of it, and you had already done it."
Reese was slightly taken aback. "You saw Malcolm?"
Justin replied, "Yes, it was difficult, but I managed to see him. I explained the situation to Mr. Flynn, and he asked you to handle everything and for us to follow your lead."
Calvin said, "Mr. Flynn's trust in Reese is well-placed. There's nothing she can't handle."
Justin nodded eagerly. "Yes, indeed, Mr. Flynn wouldn't be wrong. Mrs. Flynn is excellent."
Calvin looked proud, as if he were being praised himself. "Of course."
Reese couldn't stand their mutual flattery anymore and interrupted, "Can you two stop with the mutual compliments?"
Calvin finally restrained himself. "Yes, you're right. So what do we do next? The key is when your husband can get out."
Reese said, "As long as we get to the bottom of this."
They had already solved a big problem with Vincent. Now, they just needed to follow the clues, find the evidence, and pin the responsibility on Vincent. The problem would be easy to handle.
Justin asked, "Should we monitor Vincent to see who he contacts next?"
That would make the investigation easier.
Reese asked Justin, "Didn't Mr. Flynn give you any other instructions?"
Justin replied, "No, he just asked you to manage everything. Mr. Flynn has great trust in you."
Reese said, "I need to meet with him."
She was already exhausted, and Malcolm still wanted her to manage everything. Was he even her husband?
Justin looked a bit troubled. "Mrs. Flynn, meeting Mr. Flynn now might be difficult because earlier I..."
Seeing Justin misunderstood, Reese quickly explained, "I didn't say I wanted to meet him in person."
This confused Justin even more. "You don't want to meet him in person? Do you mean online? But that's not possible either. They wouldn't agree, and the matter hasn't been fully investigated yet."
Reese said, "I know. We can't let them know, or it would cause us a lot of trouble."
Justin scratched his head awkwardly. "So, what do you mean..."
Calvin almost jumped up to smack Justin on the back of the head. "Justin, have you been working so hard that you've gone stupid? Did you forget that Reese is capable of anything? I just reminded you that if she wants to do something, there's nothing she can't do."
Realization dawned on Justin, and he slapped his forehead. "How could I forget? Mrs. Flynn is a hacker herself. She can hack into their system and meet Mr. Flynn. But even so, it won't be easy."
However, he still believed in what Calvin had just said: if Reese wanted to do something, she could do it.
Justin said, "Let's give it a try. You don't know how much Mr. Flynn misses you in there. Whenever he mentions you, he lights up with a big smile. I've never seen Mr. Flynn smile like that."
Malcolm was deeply infatuated with Reese. If word got out that the usually ruthless Malcolm, who could make people retreat just by showing up, had such a gentle side, the girls who admired Malcolm would be shocked.
Reese didn't believe Justin's exaggerated words, but she hadn't seen Malcolm for several days and did miss him a bit.
Since their marriage, they had seldom been apart for such long periods.
Reese handed her cup to Calvin. "Could you make me another?"
Calvin yawned. "Reese, I'm tired too."
"Are you as tired as I am? I haven't slept for several nights." Reese shoved the cup into Calvin's hands without another word. Calvin pouted but went to make the coffee; he didn't dare disobey Reese's orders.
After Calvin left, Reese said to Justin, "The issue at the construction site has been resolved. You can handle the follow-up, but this project can't be used anymore. It's become a safety hazard. Brandon embezzled too much money; he probably won't get out of prison in this lifetime."
Reese had initially estimated it wasn't much, but when Calvin investigated, the numbers were astonishing. No wonder it led to fatalities. With such shoddy construction, it wouldn't last long even without heavy rain. Eventually, there would still be casualties.
Justin sighed. "What about the patients' families? Have they been appeased? They're unlikely to let this slide easily; there could be a significant backlash."
