Chapter 412 She Is My Wife
As soon as Reese walked in, she bumped into Malcolm and some shareholders who were just coming out, looking like they had just finished a meeting. The two of them collided head-on, and Malcolm saw Reese rushing in.
He stopped in his tracks and was about to speak, "You..."
Before he could finish, Reese stood on tiptoe, cupped Malcolm's face with both hands, and kissed him in front of everyone.
The whole room was stunned.
"What the heck, has Reese gone mad? She actually kissed Mr. Flynn!"
"Isn't Mr. Flynn married? Oh no, Reese is done for. I always thought she was just a bit willful, but I never imagined she would be this bold."
"Just wait, she's done for now. Kissing Mr. Flynn, she must be crazy for a man."
"But honestly, not many people would have the guts to do what she did."
"Yeah... it's really attention-grabbing. If I had known, I would have learned from her."
"You want to learn from her? Try it, and Mr. Flynn would probably throw you out immediately. She has the looks, do you?"
The shareholders next to Malcolm were also stunned. What was going on?
But soon, Reese let go of Malcolm. Her eyes were bright, as if stars were twinkling in them.
The coldness in Malcolm's eyes turned into a gentle breeze. He reached out and ruffled Reese's hair, his voice low and pleasant, with a hint of joy. "What's up today?"
Knowing Reese, unless something really happened, she wouldn't be this proactive.
Reese's eyes were a bit moist, and her voice was much softer than usual, less aloof and more approachable.
"Nothing, we'll talk about it later. It's not convenient here."
Malcolm's smile deepened.
"You know it's not convenient here, but kissing me here is much more inconvenient than talking to me."
Reese's lips twitched. It wasn't a spur-of-the-moment impulse; now that she had calmed down; it did seem a bit off.
Malcolm hadn't made their relationship public because Reese hadn't mentioned it, and he was also worried that colleagues would gossip behind her back.
But now it seemed there was no need to hide it anymore.
He put his arm around Reese's shoulder and faced everyone.
"You don't need to wonder. Today, I'm officially introducing Reese as my wife."
"What? Did I hear that right?"
"Reese is Mr. Flynn's wife? You've got to be kidding!"
"Am I hearing things? Not girlfriend, not lover, but wife?"
"You heard right, I heard it clearly too."
"This is shocking. No wonder anyone who offended Reese got fired. She really is Mr. Flynn's wife."
"Good thing I never offended her. But why would Mr. Flynn choose her? Besides her looks, she has no other merits."
"The key is, you need to have her looks first."
"Guess it's not happening in this lifetime."
Malcolm turned to the shareholders and said, "Today's meeting ends here. In a couple of days, we'll send someone over for an inspection. Make sure you keep an eye on things and don't let any problems arise."
"Understood."
After the meeting, Malcolm looked down at Reese and noticed a strand of her hair had fallen over her eyes. He gently tucked it behind her ear, his actions tender and meticulous, drawing envy from the female colleagues nearby.
"So envious, I've never seen such a good man. Mr. Flynn is really gentle."
"I've never seen Mr. Flynn be so gentle with anyone."
"Exactly."
Reese rarely showed a hint of shyness in her eyes. "Let's go upstairs; it's not convenient to talk here. I really do have something to discuss with you."
"Alright, I'll have Justin make you some coffee."
Mentioning Justin made Reese a bit embarrassed.
"Justin might not be able to come up for a while."
He's probably throwing up somewhere right now.
Malcolm noticed Reese's expression. "You didn't come with Justin, did you?"
Because he had reminded Justin to go back and get some documents, based on the time, he should be here by now.
Reese replied frankly, "Yes, I ran into Justin when I was leaving, and I thought he was driving too slowly, so..."
"So you eagerly drove and made him dizzy?"
Malcolm raised an eyebrow.
He knew Reese's driving skills. In a place like Mount Celestia, she could win, let alone on flat ground, which was even easier.
If Reese wanted to drive somewhere, there was no road she couldn't conquer.
"Mr. Flynn..."
A sickly voice came from the doorway, unmistakably Justin's.
Malcolm turned his head and saw Justin still looking a bit pale, walking unsteadily, clearly feeling unwell.
"Mr. Flynn, here's the document you asked me to get."
"Alright, take a break and come to the office when you're feeling better."
He probably couldn't make coffee with current state.
Justin gave an awkward smile. "Yes."
Malcolm and Reese went into the office, and he picked up a cup from the table.
"I'll make you some coffee."
"No need, if you want coffee, I'll make it for you. It might not taste as good, though; I've never made coffee for anyone."
He really hadn't; it was always someone else making it for him.
Reese felt that his thoughtfulness was enough, and she was already very satisfied.
She grabbed Malcolm's hand. "I'm serious; I have something to tell you."
Malcolm, seeing her urgency, realized it must be something important.
He led Reese to sit on the couch and handed her a glass of water.
"Have some water first."
"No need. Was it you who dealt with Everhart?"
Although Reese had already found out, she wanted to confirm it with Malcolm.
Malcolm wasn't surprised, but his gaze was probing.
"Looks like my wife is quite capable, finding it out."
He thought he had been cautious, but he hadn't deliberately hidden it. He wasn't afraid of anyone knowing about his actions against Everhart.
This was the confidence of a king. After all, even if Everhart knew, there was nothing he could do about it.
