Chapter 54 Are You Blind?
Susan felt even more proud after hearing this.
"Then someone truly has no chance at all. Otherwise, they can only become Mr. Flynn's mistress."
Reese didn't let her defamation go unchecked. Instead, she focused on the report that needed to be submitted soon. Although she didn't attach much importance to the task, she always completed what was assigned to her with great efficiency. As she typed the final word, she let out a sigh of relief.
"Finally done."
Then, she sent the report via email, and the notification showed that it had been received. Reese slowly got up from her chair, a cold aura briefly flashing in her delicate eyes.
Finally, she had some time to deal with these gossiping people. She calmly walked towards Susan and the others, and her presence instantly became imposing. Susan looked at her, feeling a sense of unease deep within. Reese stood in front of her, looking down on Susan, making her feel even more inferior. Additionally, Reese's captivating eyes added to the pressure, causing Susan to grip the chair tightly with her fingers.
"W-what are you doing?"
"Just because I ignored you doesn't mean I didn't hear you. Do you have any evidence to support your claim that I'm trying to seduce our boss?"
Although Susan was afraid, she couldn't let it show.
However, she was unwilling to be suppressed like this by Reese. She tried to raise her head and speak loudly, wanting to add some momentum to herself.
"Do we even need evidence for this? Everyone saw it clearly, Justin was right there, but you still insisted on pushing Mr. Flynn in. Isn't that intentional? Do you think you can just strike up a conversation with Mr. Flynn and think you've made it, dreaming big, aren't you?"
Reese sneered disdainfully.
It was just a pity that Susan didn't understand the concept of keeping a low profile. She was always gossiping about things, and it had already become an annoyance for Reese.
She wasn't in a hurry to explain herself but instead, she followed Susan's lead and said, "Since you think I can easily get close to Mr. Flynn, then I will try my best and use my beauty to get Mr. Flynn to fire you."
Susan's face turned ferocious with anger, and a surge of fury was building up in her chest. She slapped the table and stood up abruptly.
"Reese, you have no shame! A shameless woman like you, how did you even enter the company?"
Reese tilted her head and had a mocking smile on her lips, "Are you blind? Of course, I walked in. Could it be that I flew in?"
Susan couldn't manage to say anything in response. She had never seen someone so difficult to deal with. No matter what you said or how you tried to attack her, she always remained calm and found unexpected words to dodge the situation.
She pointed at Reese, her voice trembling with anger, "You..."
"I advise you to cherish today because you might not be able to come here tomorrow," Reese said, holding her water cup and walking out of the office.
Susan snorted coldly, "You think you can kick me out of the company? Dream on!"
Inside the office, Malcolm had just finished a meeting and was sitting on his chair, lightly pinching his brow with tiredness evident in his cold voice.
"What did you see?"
Justin couldn't help but get excited when he recalled the altercation between Reese and Susan just now. He hadn't witnessed such a fierce confrontation in a long time.
He felt it was necessary to tell Mr. Flynn about this glorious event.
"Didn't Susan have a fight with Mrs. Flynn? She was speaking so rudely, and I almost wanted to step in for Mrs. Flynn. But then Mrs. Flynn said a few words, and Susan suddenly couldn't say anything anymore."
Justin used to think that Reese looked dumb, with her dark skin, heavy bangs, and a pair of incredibly unfashionable black-framed glasses.
Naturally, he preferred the current Mrs. Flynn. If she could stay with Mr. Flynn and become an assistant in the Flynn family, wouldn't that be a win-win situation?
Malcolm listened with some interest.
Justin gave an interesting description, "She's like covered in thorns, completely different from how she usually is in front of us."
This girl was increasingly winning his favor, but it seems like she didn't care about herself right now, which puts him in a passive position. However, there's still a long road ahead, so he can take it slow.
"You mentioned earlier that Susan is targeting her?"
Justin clearly felt Mr. Flynn's aura turn cold as he uttered those words.
"Yes, I heard that Susan has been targeting her since Mrs. Flynn arrived at the company."
"Fire her, deduct her salary and bonuses for this month. Whoever bullies my wife must be tired of living."
"Did you find out the identity of the person at the company gate earlier?" Malcolm continued to flip through the documents with his head down.
"Yes, we found out that he is the grandson of a famous doctor in the medical field. It seems that Mrs. Flynn went to see him this morning, and it was the doctor who asked his grandson to bring Mrs. Flynn back," Justin spoke quietly, fearing that Mr. Flynn would become jealous and order someone to ransack their house. He never expected that such a cold and proud man would be so doting on his wife.
Mr. Flynn's future motto would probably be, "Anyone who dares to bully my wife will lose everything and be buried with their entire family."
Malcolm raised an eyebrow. "What was she going there for?"
"It seems like she went to retrieve something."
Justin didn't pay much attention to it, and besides, Mr. Flynn only mentioned checking the person's identity, without mentioning anything else. After contemplating for a moment, Malcolm remembered Reese mentioning his legs in the elevator, as if she had found some kind of medicine.
As long as this medicine was absorbed well, standing up would be just around the corner. So, it turns out his wife went to such lengths for the sake of his illness. No wonder she left in such a hurry this morning.
Perhaps Malcolm didn't notice it himself, but Justin witnessed Mr. Flynn's fierce eyebrows and deep eyes drowning in utmost delight, to the point where that joy was on the verge of overflowing. This change in attitude was even faster than flipping through a book.
Since Mrs. Flynn entered the picture, he felt that Mr. Flynn was becoming increasingly strange. Previously, he wouldn't let anyone affect his emotions, but now, anything related to Mrs. Flynn garnered special attention from him.
Malcolm concealed his smile and instructed Justin, "Handle Susan's matter quickly."
"Yes."
Since Mr. Flynn said so, he could only obey the command. If anyone was to blame, it would be Susan for daring to offend Mr. Flynn's honey. In the afternoon, just as Reese had some free time and was about to call Calvin to find a way to get rid of Susan, Justin came in.
Susan had always wanted to climb up to Malcolm through Justin's connection. Even if she couldn't be his lover, it would be good enough to have him look at her a little more.
Justin was Malcolm's most valued assistant, so naturally, Susan had to please Justin in every way possible. When she saw Justin entering, she quickly approached him, full of enthusiasm.
"Is there anything you want to instruct our department on behalf of Mr. Flynn?"
Justin placed a document on the table, his face expressionless, "Did you make this price estimate last time?"
Susan picked it up and glanced through it, and said, "Yes, I did. Is there a problem?"
"The problem is quite significant. You omitted a zero in this quotation. If it weren't for colleagues in the document submission department discovering it, do you know how much money the company would have lost?"
"That's impossible. I double-checked everything," Susan looked at the document again in surprise, and indeed, there was a missing zero in the quotation.
