Chapter 527 I Only Want the Result

Sebastian went quiet, looking a bit down. Reese noticed and felt a bit embarrassed, so she held back from scolding him more.

She waved her hand, a bit annoyed, and said to Giedon, "Thanks, Giedon, for taking him back."

Giedon looked at Reese, surprised, with a knowing smile. "Hey, you're my nephew's wife. Now that I know, shouldn't you call me Uncle Giedon?"

Before Reese could reply, Malcolm jumped in. "Come on, you haven't been much of an uncle."

Giedon got defensive. "How am I not a good uncle? Call me uncle, and I'll prove it."

Malcolm ignored him and turned to Reese. "Honey, let's head back."

"Yeah, Nolan's probably too mad to sleep tonight. He's still after Everhart, but it shouldn't take long." Reese was worried about when Everhart would finally spill the truth.

Hearing Everhart's name, Giedon straightened up. "He's tough. My guys roughed him up, but he didn't say a word. I'll try something else tomorrow."

Reese wasn't surprised. "Everhart's one of Nolan's men. He's way tougher than most. We need to find his weak spot."

"What weak spot? If my info's right, Everhart has no family and doesn't care about feelings. It's all a game to him," Giedon said.

A guy with no weak spots was hard to crack.

Reese thought for a moment. "I remember Everhart telling me he had a sister who was kidnapped when she was young. We don't know where she is, but it's worth looking into. Finding her could be a big break."

Malcolm agreed right away. "I'll get someone on it. We'll find his sister in two days, no matter what."

They had no other options. Everhart was unbreakable. Reese had tried everything, but he wouldn't budge. They had to try something new.

Malcolm was confident. Finding people was Giedon's thing. He patted Giedon on the shoulder. "Uncle Giedon, this is up to you."

Giedon was thrilled to finally be called uncle, grinning ear to ear. "Alright, since you called me uncle, I'll do it."

Reese added, "Thanks, Uncle Giedon."

"Okay, let's wrap this up. If we stay here, we'll be on the news tomorrow," Giedon suggested. It wouldn't matter for others, but it wouldn't look good for him.

Reese was tired from standing. "Alright, goodbye."

Giedon had someone take Sebastian back, and Alyssa drove Reese and the others to the Flynn family home.

On the way, Reese felt uneasy and asked Malcolm, "Honey, you really think Gideon can find her in two days?"

Malcolm was confident. "Don't worry, Giedon's pro at this. He's got the resources. If Nolan were on it, he might find her too. We need to find Everhart's sister before Nolan does. If Nolan gets to her first, Everhart might just go with him."

When people are desperate, they'll do anything. If Nolan gets Everhart's sister, things will get messy.

Reese agreed. "Yeah, we can only wait now. But I'll also look on my end. Let's see who finds her first. We'll work separately."

"Okay."

The car went quiet, and Malcolm and Reese avoided the topic.

Alyssa, driving, had a question. She asked cautiously, "Reese, about Sebastian, he..."

"He's like a kid. Don't take him seriously."

Reese thought about Sebastian's behavior and laughed. A twenty-year-old acting like a child, pouting—he was kind of cute.

Sebastian looked young and had a boyish charm.

Alyssa blushed and her voice changed. "I don't. I've seen many like him, always chasing fun and avoiding serious stuff. But Reese, I think he really depends on you, maybe even likes you. But it's not just him; I really like you too."

She saw Reese as her idol. She'd never met someone so amazing. She dreamed of being like Reese, but felt she didn't have that kind of talent.

Reese smiled modestly. "You're exaggerating. Everyone has their strengths. You have many good qualities too. You don't have to be like someone else."

Alyssa agreed. She was confident but seeing Reese made her realize there were such excellent people in the world.

"Yeah, thanks, Reese. Malcolm made the right choice in marriage," Alyssa said.

Malcolm's eyes were full of pride as he looked at Reese. "Of course, my judgment is spot on."

They had a moment of peace, but Nolan was having a tough time. As soon as he got back, he had someone call Sofia.

Only Sofia could get close to Reese and maybe get some info from her.

When Sofia got Nolan's call, her heart pounded. She asked cautiously, "Nolan, what do you need?"

"Reese has hidden Everhart somewhere these past two days. I can't find him. Tomorrow, invite her out and get to the bottom of this," Nolan demanded.

Sofia felt troubled. "Nolan, you know Reese won't tell me the truth. Even if I ask, she might get suspicious."

Nolan was already angry, and Sofia's reluctance made him more upset. His tone turned harsh. "That's your problem. I want results. Don't forget, I can give you half a million bucks, or I can make you owe that much. I can't guarantee your grandmother's condition then; she might not make it."

"Nolan..."

"Ask her out tomorrow. I want an answer by 7 PM," Nolan said and hung up.
