Chapter 510 Bring the Person Back
Kenneth wrapped his arm around Nancy's shoulder, trying to calm her down. "Don't worry, it won't happen. Everhart has no use for her."
Nancy suddenly had an idea. "How about we freeze her credit card? That way, she won't have any money to spend and will have to come back."
Kenneth nodded. "Good idea. I'll take care of that."
He hurried to his room and called his assistant, instructing him to freeze Dahlia's card and verify the balance.
The assistant checked and called back, "Mr. Brooks, I've got the info, but you might want to sit down."
Kenneth's face tightened. "What is it?"
"Ms. Brooks has maxed out the card and owes tens of thousands. Freezing it now won't help."
Kenneth's eyes widened. "All the money's gone, and she owes that much? Are you sure?"
"Yes, sir. The money was transferred out just a few days ago."
Kenneth felt his anger rising. "Find out where the money went. Now."
"On it."
The assistant hung up and started investigating.
Not seeing Kenneth return, Nancy went upstairs. She heard things being thrown around and walked in.
"What's going on? Why are you so mad?"
Kenneth glared at her. "Your daughter maxed out the card and owes tens of thousands!"
Nancy's face went pale, and she collapsed, wailing. "Oh my God, what is Dahlia doing?"
"It must be Everhart. Get Reese to check this out."
He couldn't trust Dahlia's judgment, especially when it came to men.
Nancy remembered Reese was their last hope. She got up, trembling, and went to Reese's room.
"Reese..."
Reese heard her mom's wailing and opened the door.
Nancy started crying again. "Reese, please save your sister. She must've been tricked."
Reese frowned. "Has she responded to you?"
"No, your dad thought of freezing her card to force her back. But all the money's gone, and she owes tens of thousands. What did she do in just two weeks?"
Nancy valued money, especially in their current situation. She knew its value and how difficult it was to recover once lost.
Reese asked, "You think Dahlia spent it on Everhart?"
"Most likely. Where else would it go?"
Reese sighed. "Give me Dahlia's card number, and I'll check."
Nancy quickly replied, "I remember it. I'll tell you."
"Okay, write it down."
Nancy handed Dahlia's card number to Reese, who turned to Malcolm. "Honey, can you check this?"
Malcolm grinned. "You think I can't handle this?"
Reese laughed. "Alright, just hurry up and see where the money went. If we can track her expenses, we can find her."
"Got it." Malcolm started typing away. Reese watched, impressed by his speed.
Usually, Justin handled these things, but Malcolm seemed adept at it.
Twenty minutes later, Malcolm had everything sorted and printed. He handed the papers to Reese.
"Here's her recent activity."
Reese scanned the printout and noticed Dahlia was at the same place Louis had gone. She was definitely with Everhart.
Her expression turned serious. "Looks like I need to go there myself."
With Dahlia involved, things could get messy. Everhart was desperate, and if Nolan's people found him, Dahlia could be in real danger.
Just then, Justin walked in. "Mr. Flynn."
"What's up?"
"Nolan's found Everhart's location too. We need to move fast."
Malcolm exchanged a look with Reese. "Honey..."
Reese turned to Justin. "Check the flights for tonight. We need to leave now."
Justin looked uneasy. "Mrs. Flynn, I already checked. No flights until tomorrow morning."
Reese was anxious to leave immediately.
Malcolm then said, "Didn't we buy a private jet a few months ago? Get it ready at the nearest airport. We're leaving now."
Justin's eyes lit up. "Oh, right! I forgot about that."
Reese asked, "Why did you buy a private jet?"
Malcolm stayed calm. "Sometimes you want to travel without the hassle of commercial flights. A private jet is just for us, and we can enjoy the trip. Nice, right?"
Reese smiled. "You're always planning."
"In the future, if we have kids, we can take family vacations."
Nancy, almost frantic, interrupted. "Reese, Mr. Flynn, can you discuss this later? My daughter's life is at stake."
Reese turned to Justin. "Get it arranged. We're leaving now."
"Yes, ma'am."
Ten minutes later, Reese and Malcolm were ready to go. As they were leaving, Nancy pleaded with Reese.
"I know I wronged you before, but please, help Dahlia this time."
Reese didn't mince words. "I'm not doing this for you. When Grandma was alive, you treated her poorly. That's why she took me to live in the countryside. I'm going to find Everhart and bring Dahlia back."
Nancy wasn't concerned about Reese's reasons. "It doesn't matter, just bring her back safely."
