Chapter 371 Unconvinced
Sebastian's voice was neither loud nor soft, just enough for Stephen to hear, but Stephen wasn't particularly surprised. Instead, he nodded thoughtfully.
"If you got beaten up, that's normal."
Upon hearing this, Sebastian couldn't hold back this time. "Dad, who exactly is your son?" He stood up directly and roared.
Stephen took a sip of tea, glanced at Sebastian, and said, "If you got beaten up, what does that have to do with whether you are my son or not?"
Implicit in Stephen's words was that if you were my son, would you not have been beaten up?
At this moment, Sebastian was both angry and surprised, unsure how to describe his current feelings.
"What are your plans? Are you just going to let such a powerful sister roam outside? Don't you think it's a big loss?"
"It makes sense. Since she is a member of our Hawthorne family, there's no reason for me to let her continue staying outside. Find a time to take a few people with you to bring her back to see us. It's time for her to come home." Stephen replied.
Stephen's biggest concern was that Reese could have been useful to them, but she might end up becoming a weapon used against them by others, which would be disastrous.
However, convincing Reese to come back might not be easy for Sebastian.
Upon hearing that Stephen was prepared to bring Reese back, Sebastian readily agreed.
"Alright, I think that's fine. Since Reese is a part of our Hawthorne family, it's right for us to bring her back. Leaving her outside is unacceptable. Besides, Reese is so capable, and her return could also teach me something."
Seeing Sebastian's hopeful expression, Stephen smiled helplessly and offered him a piece of advice.
"I suggest you not get too happy too soon. Reese won't easily come back with you. It's better to take a few more people with you. Otherwise, you might end up in the hospital."
Sebastian, thinking about the way Reese looked at him today, felt like she was about to devour him with her gaze. Her aura completely overwhelmed him.

Reese nodded calmly. "I know."
But she seemed distracted.
Malcolm held her shoulders firmly, his gaze serious. "Honey, pay attention to what I'm saying."
When Reese looked at him, her eyes seemed distant. Malcolm knew that despite her outward indifference, she still cared deeply. How could Reese, with blood ties, turn a blind eye?
"No matter how the Hawthorne family treats you, remember, you just need to focus on yourself. Don't worry about what they do, do you understand?"
Reese felt a sudden clarity upon hearing this. Why should she care about others? Hadn't she always been focused on herself all these years? She was not alone now. She had Clavin, Louis, and Malcolm by her side. Reese was no longer fighting alone.
Malcolm saw a newfound clarity in Reese's eyes. She seemed to have come to a realization.
He reached out, ruffled Reese's hair, and planted a kiss on her lips.
"No matter what happens, remember, you have me by your side."
Reese nodded, "Yes, I got it."
Reese had completely let go of any doubts or concerns she previously had about Malcolm. She firmly believed that anyone could hurt her, but Malcolm wouldn't.
Malcolm wanted to take her out to distract her from her worries. "Do you want to go out for a walk or grab something to eat?"
Reese thought for a moment. "I feel like having some Boston lobster."
Malcolm raised an eyebrow. "Let's go."
With that, the two of them headed out directly. After Reese went out again, her mood did indeed improve significantly.
Reese looked at the sky outside, which seemed bluer than before.
As soon as they arrived at the store before they could even enter, Reese heard the roar of an engine. She turned her head and saw a limited-edition luxury car parked right beside her. She frowned, about to comment on the lack of manners, as the car was parked right in front of the store entrance when the door was pushed open.
Sebastian got out of the car, causing Reese to furrow her delicate brows even harder. Why did you meet this guy again?
They had met each other twice today.
It really was a small world.
Seeing Reese, Sebastian was not as confrontational as he was in the afternoon. His mind was now focused on bringing Reese back and having her teach him driving skills, which was the real priority.
Sebastian pretended to be surprised. "Meeting you here, could this be a sign that we are destined to be together?"
Reese crossed her arms, unimpressed by Sebastian's clumsy and flawed acting skills. "Your acting skills are so poor. Do you want to call a few people to come and beat me up because you can't accept it?"
