Chapter 558 Continuous Suppression
Everly, kneeling on the ground, looked disheveled with her hair hanging down on both sides. She was a far cry from the once glamorous self and nothing but an ordinary folk now.
In Malcolm's eyes, even if she had teamed up with Vincent but ultimately didn't harm Aiden, he could have given her a chance. But Everly had already done it twice.
He shook her off in despair and said coldly, "You have no way back now. Everyone knows you're no longer part of the Flynn family. No, you were never part of the Flynn family. Now you're just back to where you originally belonged."
Hearing Malcolm's words, Everly felt desperate. She dropped on her knees, her face full of tears, looking pitiful.
But only those who knew the truth would understand how Everly disregarded Aiden's life and tried to drive Reese out of the Flynn family.
Ignoring her pleading, he only let out coldly, "Everly, take care of yourself."
Hearing this, Everly knew there was no hope left.
She had thought of his refusal but never did she expect such a resolute one
Reese watched Everly's actions from the side without saying a word. She believed that everyone should pay for their mistakes, without exception.
And what Everly did was the most unforgivable—harming the person who had raised her since she was young.
In Reese's eyes, Aiden had indeed done his best for Everly.
She thought Everly was really ungrateful.
Malcolm said to Justin, "Take her out and don't let her enter the Flynn Group again."
Justin nodded. "Yes."
He walked up to Everly and helped her up from the ground.
"Ms. Flynn, let's go."
Everly was weak and exhausted, partly because she had been working too hard in the restaurant these past few days. She had never lived such a life before, let alone worked like this.
Moreover, many of her old friends would come to the restaurant to dine, and seeing her there, they would definitely mock her.
The humiliation she had suffered these past few days was enough to make her break down. Sometimes she even thought it would be better to die as there was no point of living like this.
But she didn't allow herself to give up.
Before Justin excorted Everly out, she couldn't help but ask one last question, "Malcolm, were those photos online exposed by you?"
Malcolm's eyes were cold, but he answered honestly, "Yes."
Hearing that, Everly closed her eyes tightly, tears streaming down her face. She was utterly hopeless.
Malcolm's words were like a bucket of cold water poured over her, chilling her to the bone.
After Justin took Everly out, Reese asked him, "Are you going to continue?"
He confirmed, "Yes, I have to continue. I want to see how long she can hold on. Sometimes pressure can bring out a person's potential. Hatred even does a better job. If Everly could maintain her original intentions under such pressure and not do anything harmful, then we might barely believe she has truly changed."
Reese understood Malcolm's intention. He wanted to see if Everly could truly reform under such pressure and realize that this was the price she had to pay for her mistakes.
On the other hand, Malcolm was still somewhat concerned about Everly, given their many years of relationship.
In the end, it was up to Everly to save herself.
After Justin took Everly to the company entrance, she saw a group of former colleagues staring at her. Many colleagues had already gathered when she went in.
Now, seeing her being kicked out in such a state, the other colleagues came out to watch the spectacle.
When Everly left before, there was no sign.
No one in the company knew the real reason.
Some of her former subordinates started gossiping.
"What's going on? I thougt Ms. Flynn had left. Why is she back today?" Someone was curious.
"Don't you know? She's been kicked out of the Flynn family. She's no longer part of the Flynn family, just an ordinary person like us. The important thing is, I heard she's now working as a waitress in some high-end restaurant," somebody explained.
"What? Are you kidding me? How is that possible? No matter what, she wouldn't be reduced to being a waitress," Another said surprisedly.
"Why not? If you don't believe me, go check it out. She's definitely there."
"How pitiful! Think about how powerful she was in the company before, bossing us around every day. Now look at her..."
"You never know. This is life. She may have been glamorous before, but who knows what the future holds."
"Exactly. Maybe she'll be back at the Flynn Group in a few days," A woman echoed.
No one dared to speak definitively, and no one was foolish enough to block their own path. But gossiping was inevitable.
Everly heard these words without much reaction. She knew what kind of people they were, after all, they had worked under her before.
Justin felt a bit sorry for Everly, thinking about the life she used to have and the life she was living now.
He escorted Everly to the door and said, "Go home, and don't come looking for Mr. Flynn again."
Everly looked at Justin pitifully.
"Justin, can you put in a good word for me in front of Malcom? Maybe he'll forgive me for my good deeds."
Justin sighed, "You know very well the mistakes you've made. You drugged Mr. Aiden Flynn, and then you poisoned his milk. If Mr. Aiden Flynn hadn't drunk it up, he would be dead by now. You would have to face the consequences with Vincent."
This was already the best outcome for her.
