Chapter 487: Answering Your Questions One by One

The next day, Vincent called another shareholders' meeting, stirring up quite a buzz at the Flynn Group.

"Did you hear? Another meeting. They're talking about kicking Mr. Flynn out."

"Didn't they try this before? Why again?"

"Last time, Reese stopped it. People made fun of her rural background, but look at her now. She's all high-class. Who can compare?"

"Sophia was the only one who saw it coming. When everyone else shunned Reese, Sophia stood by her. Now, she's reaping the benefits."

"No kidding. If I'd been smarter and followed Reese, maybe I'd still have a job."

"As if you don't have a job now."

"But look at Reese now. She's like a goddess."

Vincent's face darkened as he heard the praise for Reese, but he couldn't do anything about it. Yet.

Once he became president of the Flynn Group, he'd make sure to shut them up.

Vincent walked into the conference room, and the shareholders looked annoyed. They were tired of these frequent meetings. Did Vincent think they had nothing better to do?

Unfortunately, Vincent had dirt on them. Even if they didn't want to help him, they had no choice. They had to follow his orders or risk losing their positions.

Vincent stood at the head of the table, a spot he had always wanted. Now that he had the chance, he wasn't letting go.

The shareholders tried to persuade him.

"Mr. Flynn, don't you want to reconsider?"

Vincent sneered, "What's there to reconsider? It's just a leadership change. Malcolm's in jail, who knows when he'll get out."

"True, but your actions are inappropriate. The outcome isn't decided yet. I heard Aiden is sick. He's the founder. Don't you need his approval?"

Vincent understood their implication.

"No need for that. My grandfather's old and hasn't been involved in the Flynn Group for a long time. Given his health, we don't need his approval."

The shareholders were speechless. They didn't know what to do, especially since Vincent had dirt on them.

"Alright, sign these papers to remove Malcolm."

Vincent's assistant handed out the contracts.

The shareholders hesitated. If they approved, given Malcolm's recent troubles, it would be the end for them.

They had no issues with Malcolm. Reese was right last time. When Malcolm was in charge, their dividends were substantial.

Now with Vincent, the future was uncertain. If Reese was right and Vincent's incompetence led to the company's downfall, the shareholders would suffer too.

Seeing their hesitation, Vincent leaned on the table, eyes filled with determination.

"Think carefully. If you don't sign, what will you face?"

"This..."

"How can he do this?"

"Isn't he forcing us?"

The shareholders grumbled but had no choice. They couldn't do anything about Vincent.

Vincent was blunt. "You're right, I am forcing you. Better comply and keep your positions as shareholders."

"Vincent, aren't you worried that by forcing them, the shareholders won't support you in the future?" A cold, clear female voice cut through the tension. Reese walked in, holding a stack of documents.

Vincent squinted at her, his gaze intense. 'Reese is here to mess things up again,' he thought. But this time was different.

He sneered, "Reese, you can't stop me this time. This president's position is mine. These shareholders wouldn't dare not sign."

The shareholders looked at Reese like she was their last hope, eyes filled with anticipation.

Calvin and Justin followed her in. Justin addressed Vincent, "Mr. Flynn, the Flynn family isn't yours alone. You can't control it single-handedly."

Vincent gritted his teeth, his face twisted with malice.

"So what? Malcolm's been in charge for years, and I haven't touched a single project. I'm part of the Flynn family too. You should find another job soon. Who knows if he'll ever get out."

Reese's brown eyes were sharp as blades, cutting into Vincent. She scoffed, "Even if my husband never gets out, you'll never be president of the Flynn Group!"

She knew Vincent's capabilities—or lack thereof. He wasn't suited for business, lacked Malcolm's vision, and had no unique qualities. He only saw profit, and such a person would be blinded by greed, possibly even losing his conscience.

Vincent's pride was stung. He gave her a challenging look.

"Fine, let's see if I can take this position today!" He faced the shareholders once more.

"Are you really willing to sacrifice your future for Malcolm? If you sign now, I can guarantee those pieces of evidence won't be released. But if you refuse, think about your future carefully."

"Seems like you understand these shareholders better than I do."

A tall figure appeared in the conference room, accompanied by a cold, deep voice.

Everyone was stunned.

"Mr. Flynn!"

"It's really Mr. Flynn!"

"Wasn't he in jail? How did he get out?"

"Does this mean the investigation is over? If so, Mr. Flynn is fine, and we don't need to sign."

With Malcolm's support, the shareholders tore up the contracts.

"We're not signing."

"Yeah, we're not signing. We didn't want to sign in the first place. If you're a doctor, then be a good doctor. What are you doing trying to be president? Is that your place?"

Vincent looked at Malcolm, whose face was full of hostility, in shock. His hands, resting on the table, trembled.

"Why... why are you here?"

Wasn't Malcolm supposed to be in custody, under investigation?

Malcolm looked perfectly fine, even energetic. Vincent's eyes were filled with confusion, knowing he had fallen into their trap.

Vincent's assistant was also shocked. "There was no news that he was cleared. How did he suddenly get out?"

The assistant's words further convinced Vincent that he had been tricked by Malcolm and Reese.

What he didn't know was that Reese had already visited Malcolm. This was all part of their plan.

Reese's cold face was full of mocking smiles.

"Vincent, confused now? It's okay, I have plenty of time today to clear up your confusion."
