Chapter 582 I Marry Her

Malcolm shouted, "Justin, hurry up! Get her in the car and floor it to the nearest hospital. Alyssa, call ahead and let them know we're coming."

Alyssa nodded, already dialing, "On it, Malcolm. I'm calling them now."

Once everyone piled into the car, Malcolm held Reese close, his heart pounding with worry.

Thank God nothing worse happened. He couldn't bear the thought of losing Reese.

Alyssa glanced at Reese, admiration shining in her eyes.

Reese was a total badass. While others might crumble, she never backed down. She faced every challenge head-on.

She always figured out a way to solve problems, believing that if she wanted to, she could.

Alyssa turned to Malcolm, "Malcolm, when Reese wakes up, she needs to chill. Anyone else would be a mess after this, but Reese? She might be okay. Still, she needs rest."

"Yeah, for sure. But she shouldn't be alone. Your studio can take a break, too. You’re on Reese duty."

Malcolm thought about Alyssa's suggestion and made the call.

Alyssa felt like she’d just signed up for more work, but for Reese, she’d do anything. "Got it. Don’t worry."

She was always down to hang with Reese. Reese was awesome.

"Good, I wouldn’t trust anyone else." Malcolm was super worried about Reese’s safety now.

When they got to the hospital, the staff, prepped by Alyssa, were waiting at the entrance. They whisked Reese straight to the operating room. Malcolm was surprised to see Thomas would be the one operating.

Thomas checked Reese’s injuries and told Malcolm, "Don’t worry. I’ll do everything I can to save her."

Malcolm trusted Thomas. He’d been a doctor forever and Reese respected him a lot. Malcolm felt better knowing Reese was in his hands.

"Thanks, Grandpa Robert."

"No problem. Just wait outside."

"Okay."

Reese was taken into the OR and the light above the door flicked on. The wait began.

Sebastian and the crew showed up, filling the hallway.

Calvin stared at the OR light, feeling a knot of worry and clasped his hands together. "God, please keep Reese safe. I swear I won’t get married if you do."

Sebastian clasped his hands, too, "God, same here. If Reese is okay, I won’t get married, either."

Alexander smacked him on the head. "Are you nuts? You can’t just not get married. Take it back. If God hears you and you really can’t get married, what then?"

Sebastian shrugged, "If I can't get married, so be it as long as Reese is okay."

Alexander kept pushing, "Dude, stop with the nonsense. If God takes you seriously and no girl wants to marry you, what then?"

Sebastian stood his ground, "I said. I won't get married."

Alexander was fuming, "If you don't get married, you'll drive our dad nuts. You get that, right?"

"If no one wants to marry him, I'll marry him!" Alyssa pushed through the crowd, her eyes blazing, and said firmly, "If God really doesn't let him get married, I'll marry him."

Sebastian stared at her, stunned, "What did you just say? If no one marries me, you'll marry me?"

Alyssa frowned, "Yeah, you got a problem with that? I'm not forcing you."

"No, it's just... weird. Why would you suddenly..."

They used to be like oil and water, barely getting along, let alone Alyssa marrying him. It was mind-blowing.

Alyssa shrugged, "Don't overthink it. I'm not big on marriage. I just think it doesn't matter who I marry. Even if I do, my focus will still be on my work."

She wasn't really into men these days.

Sebastian was still in shock, "Then why would you choose to marry me?"

"Because you're like me. We both care about the same person." Alyssa glanced at the OR. "Remember what I told you before? Since you like Reese, we're friends."

Sebastian did remember. Even now, he could clearly recall that moment. It was kinda funny looking back.

He actually liked Alyssa's vibe—straightforward and serious. He couldn't stand those women who acted all innocent but were just after his money.

Sebastian turned to Alexander with a smug grin, "Alexander, now someone wants to marry me. You can't make me take back what I said."

Alexander was about to blow a gasket. One sister was already part of the Flynn family, and now his brother wanted to marry a Flynn, too. Alyssa wasn't a pushover in the Flynn family, either.

She was a boss, and no one dared to mess with her.

Actually, her personality was a lot like Sebastian's.

Sebastian was grown now, and some things were out of his control.

Though he didn't say it, he really didn't want Sebastian to marry a Flynn unless there was no other option.

Malcolm noticed Alexander's sour look and shot him a side-eye. "What, Mr. Alexander Hawthorne, you don't like my sister? Actually, it's mutual. If Mr. Sebastian Hawthorne were to be reviewed by my grandfather, he might not be impressed, either."
