Chapter 513 A Henpecked Husband

The subordinates below hung their heads, looking downcast.

"Not yet."

"Not yet? Then hurry up and check if we lost any files!"

"No, but someone copied our recent passenger data."

The captain was so mad he wanted to punch something. He yelled, "Leaking passenger info is a huge deal. If it gets sold to the wrong people, do you know how much trouble that could cause?"

"Well... Captain, we're already investigating, but the hacker seems to be top-tier. We can't trace them."

The captain's eyes widened. "Top-tier? How skilled are we talking?"

"Not sure."

Before the subordinate could finish, the captain smacked him on the head with a file. Furious, he scolded the subordinate.

The subordinate clutched his head, looking hurt. "I'll check right away."

However, the news leaked to the media and was exposed.

After Louis and Malcolm organized the data in the hotel, the door suddenly burst open, startling them.

"Reese."

"Honey."

"Why are you awake?"

They said the last sentence in unison.

Reese walked up with a frown and placed her phone on the table in front of them. "What exactly are you two doing?"

Then she looked at Louis. "Louis, was it you?"

Louis quickly shook his head. "Reese, you give me too much credit. I can't handle something like this. If I did, it wouldn't just be trending; you'd probably see me at the police station by now."

Reese looked at Malcolm in surprise. "Don't tell me it was you?"

Malcolm spread his hands. "Do you see anyone else here?"

Reese's frown deepened. "You have some nerve, hacking into the airport's backend. Do you think you can handle the consequences?"

"This is the only way to find out where Everhart is. Will you check or not?" Malcolm asked bluntly.

Reese was stunned for a moment but replied honestly, "I will, but I won't let you do it."

Malcolm got what she meant. "So, you mean, you don't want me to check. You will, and if we fail and get caught, you'll take the fall, and I can walk away clean. Is that it?"

Reese stayed silent, and even Louis got her meaning.

"Reese..."

"And you, Louis, in that situation, you should have woken me up. How could you let me sleep through something like this?"

She wasn't surprised that Malcolm and Justin didn't wake her, but Louis should have. Louis knew her best and would usually wake her in such situations.

Malcolm's brows furrowed, his face darkening and his gaze becoming menacing. He suddenly sneered, "You're so selfless, willing to go to jail to protect your husband."

Reese's eyes turned cold, and the tension between them was thick. Louis stood awkwardly on the side, wishing he could disappear. He desperately hoped Justin would come back soon, so he wouldn't be alone.

Reese's eyes narrowed coldly. "This is a serious issue that should have been reported to me, not handled on your own."

Malcolm locked his gaze onto Reese, but he spoke to Louis, "Louis, tell Reese, have you found Everhart's whereabouts?"

Louis quickly replied, "Yes, we have."

"Where?" Malcolm asked.

"He's staying at a farmer's house. He should go to the hospital tomorrow morning, and the day after, he might head directly to the nearest airport, Skyport City Line 1. But we don't know if he'll take Dahlia with him," Louis reported every detail.

Reese frowned; she didn't know Dahlia was pregnant.

"Everhart's hurt?"

Malcolm didn't respond, clearly angry that Reese had such a dangerous idea to protect him by taking the risk herself. That wouldn't do. If anyone had to take the risk, it should be him.

"No, it's Dahlia. We suspect she might be pregnant."

Seeing Malcolm's silence, Louis felt compelled to answer to avoid further awkwardness.

Reese's expression changed. Although Dahlia's pregnancy had nothing to do with her, it could easily be used by Everhart. Women were often soft-hearted in matters of love, especially when it involved someone they cared about, making it even more troublesome.

She didn't say much to Malcolm; the priority was to find Everhart.

Reese composed herself and asked Louis, "Can you pinpoint theexact location of the farmer's house?"

Louis shook his head. "Reese, I can't. You know, there's barely any signal in that rural area. Finding him there was already a miracle. To pinpoint it, I'd have to search house by house."

Reese lowered her eyes. It was indeed too much to ask.

"So, we can't find Everhart now. We'll have to wait until tomorrow to catch him at the hospital. We should also have someone stationed at the airport."

This way, they could be prepared.

Malcolm, who had been silent, spoke up, "He should use his passport to go to the airport, then switch to another mode of transport in another city. But we have to act fast, or Nolan might catch him first."

After all, you still needed a passport to fly. Without it, you couldn't go anywhere.

Everhart probably didn't have the patience to take a bus or other transport.

But that was too risky.

Louis clapped his hands, suddenly enlightened.

"I get it now. Mr. Flynn is smart. I was wondering how Everhart would safely leave."

Reese glanced at the time; it was getting late. She told Louis, "Get some rest, Louis. Be at the hospital at six in the morning to watch them."

Malcolm added, "I'll have Justin go to the airport. But I'm worried if Nolan gets there first, it might cause trouble."

Reese didn't think much of it. If it was unavoidable, they'd have to deal with it.

Reese's mind was a bit chaotic, so she decided to leave it for now.

"We'll deal with it then, adapt as needed."

Her principle was to prioritize tasks. If it wasn't urgent, she'd deal with it later, focusing on the immediate issues first.

Malcolm couldn't predict what would happen tomorrow, so he had to go along with Reese's plan.

"Alright, let's go with this for now. We'll adapt tomorrow."

Louis nodded. "Reese, I'll go rest now. Don't blame Mr. Flynn for today's incident. If you want to blame someone, blame me. I didn't think it through."

Reese waved him off. "Alright, go rest. I'll handle it."

Before leaving, Louis worriedly glanced at Reese and Malcolm, afraid they might argue.

After closing the door, Reese's face instantly turned cold.
