Chapter 458 More Trouble Again

Malcolm finally got in, only to run into an inspection by the authorities.

"Are you Malcolm Flynn from the Flynn Group?"

Malcolm remained calm, his expression as serene as a still lake, as he replied, "Yes."

"Based on a report, your company is suspected of financial fraud, which may involve tax issues, and there are also related problems with your other projects. Please cooperate with our investigation."

Malcolm's attitude was indeed cooperative. "Sure, I will cooperate."

"Let's go."

Soon, Malcolm was taken away. Before leaving the company, he instructed Justin, saying, "Discuss any issues with Reese."

Justin understood Mr. Flynn's meaning. "Don't worry, Mr. Flynn."

At this moment, the only person Mr. Flynn could trust was Reese, though it was uncertain if Reese had the capability to resolve this. It was not a small matter.

After Malcolm got into the car, reporters chased after him for quite a distance before stopping.

For a while, the Flynn Group seemed to be in chaos, with various scandals about the Flynn Group spreading across major sites, causing the Flynn Group's stock to plummet.

The Flynn Group had always been a model in the industry, never having encountered such problems before. It brought significant impact to the Flynn Group.

Naturally, Aiden also became aware of this. When he saw these rumors, he couldn't believe it and smashed the cup next to him on the ground, shattering it instantly.

"What the hell is going on? How could the company have such issues out of nowhere? When will Malcolm be released?"

"Mr. Flynn, we don't know either. We need to wait for the investigation to confirm the Flynn Group's innocence before Malcolm can be released."

"Can't we contact the relevant personnel to see if we can get him out first?"

The Flynn Group only had Malcolm as the CEO, and he had always managed everything. Now that the company had no one to manage it, wouldn't it be in complete disarray?

Jason shook his head. "This time it's quite serious, it might be difficult to handle."

Aiden was extremely anxious. Over the years, the stability of the Flynn Group was all thanks to Malcolm. Now that he was in trouble and wouldn't be out for a few days, those who coveted the Flynn Group would surely take this opportunity to cause trouble.

Someone would need to come out and take charge.

"Who exactly framed him this time?"

He trusted his grandson, believing Malcolm wouldn't engage in such activities within the company. With Malcolm's capabilities, there was no need for it.

But being upright didn't help; the key point was that someone would still frame him.

Jason frowned. "We haven't started investigating yet. The incident happened too suddenly, we haven't had time to..."

"Then hurry up and investigate!" Aiden shouted angrily in his anxiety.

"But Mr. Flynn, the company is in such a state now, someone needs to come out and take charge. Should we let Vincent..."

"Are you kidding? Can he be trusted? If you let him take the  position, the next moment he could kick me out of the Flynn family!"

Jason's suggestion was immediately rejected by Aiden.

Aiden thought for a while and realized it couldn't be rushed. Relying on Malcolm was impossible now; who knew when he would be released.

He told Jason, "First, have Justin stabilize the company's employees, and let me think about it further."

The incident happened too suddenly, catching them completely off guard.

Jason didn't dare to make any rash suggestions, as this concerned the entire Flynn family. For now, he could only follow Aiden's instructions.

"I'll go right away."

Reese was also unsurprised to hear the news that Malcolm had been taken away. Now the Flynn Group lacked a core leader and was in chaos internally, although nothing major had occurred yet.

Just as Reese was about to head to the Flynn Group, Justin called her. Before she could speak, Justin hurriedly said, "Mrs. Flynn, I need your help with something very important."

"Go ahead."

"A project we are responsible for has encountered a problem. There's been a collapse at the construction site, causing casualties. Preliminary findings suggest workers embezzled material funds, and combined with recent rains, it led to this..."

"I understand. Send me the address, and I'll head over now."

Justin hesitated. "Mrs. Flynn, the place is quite far. If you go, it might take two to three days, and that's the fastest. Plus, there are casualties and the families are causing trouble. The situation is very tricky, but I can't leave here. Aiden just called and asked me to calm the shareholders."

If circumstances allowed, he would have wanted to accompany Reese, as the situation was serious and involved lives. It couldn't be handled carelessly, or it would be a fatal blow to the Flynn Group on top of this incident.

Reese frowned, fully aware of the importance of this matter.

"Alright, I'll go now. You handle the company's issues," she said.

"Mrs. Flynn, can you manage alone?"

Justin was still worried. If anything happened to Mrs. Flynn over there, Mr. Flynn would kill him.

Reese chuckled lightly, still able to joke at a time like this. "Do you think only Mr. Flynn has capable people under his command? And I have no one?"

Justin then remembered Calvin and the others, and laughed awkwardly. "Sorry, I underestimated you, Mrs. Flynn. I'll leave it to you then."

"You focus on handling things over there; I'll take care of this."

"Understood."

After hanging up, Reese messaged Calvin, asking him to head to the airport.

Calvin replied immediately: [Got it, Reese.]

Reese also received Justin's message with the address in the East District. Even by plane, it would take three hours from Atlanta, not to mention the tricky issues to resolve once there.

When they met up, Calvin was still chewing on a sandwich, having just woken up to the call.

He took out a sandwich from his backpack and handed it to Reese.

"Reese, have one. I also brought milk and coffee."

Reese gave him a sideways glance. "I'm taking you out to work, not on vacation!"

Reese was really exasperated with Calvin. Had she known, she would have brought Louis and the others. But Calvin had known her the longest, and they had the best rapport, making it easier to handle any situation.

Calvin could only look at Reese innocently and say, "Reese, you didn't tell me what the matter is."

"Have you checked the news online?"

Calvin looked puzzled. "What?"
