Chapter 56 You've Gone Too Far

Vincent could also sense it. He approached and stood next to Reese despite being much taller, showing no trace of superiority.

"You're really good to Malcolm. I didn't even know there was such good medicine. You must know more than just the basics. I heard that there was once a wizard in the medical world, also a woman, who specialized in herbs, acupuncture, and became a paragon in the medical world at a young age."

Reese was stirring the medicine in the pot with a spoon, sniffing, her tone was calm as she responded, "Well, I've heard of it too, it's impressive, she's my idol, if I had that kind of honor and title, I wouldn't have to marry your Malcolm right?"

Vincent laughed brightly, "That's true, she is from a wealthy family, she has no worries about food and drink in this life, if she continues to specialize in this area, in the future, her future is even more promising, she will become a Tarzan in the medical field."

Reese nodded, rather recognizing his words.

"Yes that's true, but it has nothing to do with us, I want to cure Malcolm's legs now, or else walking out, always pushing the wheelchair it'd be quite troublesome. I don't want to let great face value go to waste."

Vincent listened to her words so lightly, his heart doubts even more, could it be that he guessed wrong, she is not that medical wizard?

Then why was her technique and specialty so similar to that person.

He would have to try it out, just in case he was able to turn the tables on him.

Vincent and Malcolm had two very different styles. Malcolm's face was cold, always exuding an aura of uninviting. He was also decisive in his work. He never hesitated and the company's employees saw Malcolm always with only one expression.

If you can see him smile, it is like winning a lottery.

Vincent was different, long and refined, even if already twenty-five or twenty-six years old. His smile was also very gentle, but Reese just couldn't like it.

Probably just the type these young girls liked.

He leaned forward slightly, and the distance between him and Reese was instantly closed, and he could see her small white earlobes when he turned his head sideways, and when he opened his mouth, his voice was seductive.

"In fact, I'm also very good looking, do you want to consider me, at least what you want, I can give."

Reese was so smart, how could she not hear Vincent's meaning, she sneered and turned her head sideways, brightly confronting him.

"So you're trying to use your beauty to attract me?"

Vincent's evil smile scratched up from the corner of his mouth, "That still depends on whether or not you are willing to be attracted to me."

Reese scoffed down, "I admit that you do have a tasteful look, but I'm a person who doesn't really like to deal with people who have a lot on their mind."

She already had a lot on her mind, and then another person who thinks about how to count all the time, is there any sincerity left?

The smile at the corner of Vincent's lips froze slightly, "Doesn't Malcolm have a reason to have you around? Do you know what will be waiting for you once you cure Malcolm's legs?"

Reese spread her hands, not a trace of nervousness visible on her clean, white face, as if she were having a normal conversation.

"I know, how simple it is, either you guys just find a random reason to get rid of me, after all, Malcolm can already stand up and have no worries, it's perfectly fine to find a girl with a good condition and background, so that you can also expand your family's business, keeping someone like me, who can't do anything, and whose education is not high enough, and who doesn't even want to learn the rules isn't it just additional burden to yourself?"

Vincent's eyes were full of approval and astonishment. He initially thought that this girl was too indifferent in dealing with things. It was as if even if the sky were to collapse, she would remain steady.

Now it seemed that she knew everything in her heart.

"I don't understand then, if that's the case, why did you still help me treat Malcolm's legs? If you had let him stay like that, Grandpa wouldn't have a reason to drive you away."

Reese chuckled, her voice filled with irony. "It's not like everyone wants to stay in the Flynn family, nor is everyone greedy for wealth and glory."

She had already achieved these things on her own.

Vincent became more interested in this girl in front of him. She was different from other girls, hiding her thoughts too deeply. The words she spoke always brought surprises.

"Well, consider being with me," he suggested.

Reese raised an eyebrow. "Are you not bothered by the fact that I'm Malcolm's wife?"

Vincent seemed to have very few requirements.

Just as Vincent was about to speak and say that he didn't mind, Malcolm's gloomy and hell-like voice suddenly rang out at the kitchen door.

"Do you think I'm dead then?"

Reese's body trembled slightly, but she didn't feel any fear. Instead, she pressed her lips together and smiled, as if she was waiting to see a good show. She believed that whether it was due to the dignity of the Flynn family or Malcolm's own pride as a man, Vincent would not be allowed to be insolent in front of him.

In fact, even if Malcolm hadn't come, she would make sure Vincent would never dare to say such things in front of her again.

The atmosphere in the kitchen suddenly became icy. Vincent's corner of the eye twitched like he had clearly touched a tiger's bottom, causing a big trouble for himself.

"Malcolm, I was just joking with Reese," Vincent immediately retreated. He didn't want to provoke Malcolm.

A cold anger emitted from Malcolm, "Are you scared? It seems like you're very gutsy. If I catch you doing this again, I'll make you stay outside for a few more years before you can come back."

"Malcolm, don't joke. It's already been a little while since I came back like this, and you want me to stay outside for a few more years."

There was still a smile on his face, but only Vincent himself knew that in these years he had been struggling outside because he had no other choice. If Grandpa Flynn hadn't entrusted the company to someone who was crippled rather than him, he wouldn't have had to fight outside.

But it didn't matter. No matter what kind of wife Malcolm found, he would get back what belonged to him.

Malcolm's gaze fell on Reese. "Come with me to the room."

Reese pointed at the medicine in front of her and said, "This will work immediately."

"Let Sandra stay here," she hinted.

"Sandra stayed last time," implying something.

"Hmm," Malcolm responded, then noticed Vincent still standing beside Reese, with a cool frost covering his face. "Aren't you leaving yet?"

Vincent chuckled softly, "I'm leaving now."

It's unlike Malcolm to react this way. Seems like Reese is his type, they might have some fun in the future.

With everyone gone, Reese suddenly felt like the kitchen had become much bigger. She turned off the stove and carried the medicine back to the room.

Malcolm sat with his back facing her by the window, and the sunlight that poured in now cast a golden edge on him, making him look like a beautiful painting.
