Chapter 502 I've Got My Eyes on Your Husband
Malcolm furrowed his brows, anger flickering in his eyes.
Alyssa took a step back, warning Alfonso, "If you want to keep breathing, you better take back what you just said."
Trying to hit on Malcolm's wife? The guy must be out of his mind. Alyssa almost pitied him—almost.
Alfonso finally noticed Malcolm's darkening expression. He edged closer to Alyssa and whispered, "Is your brother really that protective of his wife?"
Alyssa scoffed, "You seriously had to ask? Let's just forget what happened. I thought you were just cocky, but now I see you're plain dumb."
Alfonso stood there, stunned.
Reese glanced at her watch. "I gotta go. Got plans later."
"Alright, Reese. Malcolm will take you," Alyssa said.
Malcolm pulled Reese close, making it clear she was his. "Of course, I'll take my wife."
He turned to Justin. "Take care of the rest."
Justin nodded. "Got it, Mr. Flynn."
Alyssa shrugged at Alfonso. She had tried to warn him, but he didn't seem to get it.
After Reese and Malcolm left, Justin approached Alfonso. "Sorry, but since you pissed off Mr. Flynn, your studio in Atlanta is finished."
Alfonso's face went pale. "What do you mean? I didn't offend him that much. It was just about not opening here, right? He can't shut me down everywhere."
Alyssa patted his shoulder. "Hate to break it to you, but he can. If you don't believe me, try it."
Alfonso looked shocked. "Who is your brother, really?"
"Malcolm Flynn, president of the Flynn Group. Now you get it?"
Alyssa smirked. Even in defeat, you should know who beat you. Classic.
Alfonso's eyes widened. "The Flynn Group? The big shot in the industry?"
Alyssa nodded. "Didn't you ever wonder about my last name? Just by looking at my brother and Reese, you should've known they weren't ordinary. Yet you still went after Reese."
Alfonso was filled with regret. His career couldn't end like this.
He knew the Flynn Group's power. One word from them, and Atlanta would shake.
Desperate, he turned to Alyssa. "Can you talk to your brother? Ask him to give me a break?"
Alyssa shook her head. "I can't. Malcolm rarely changes his mind, except maybe for Reese. But she won't help you either."
Alfonso's face turned red with embarrassment.
Alyssa turned to her team. "Send them out."
"Got it, Alyssa."
Alfonso was quickly escorted out by Alyssa's crew.
Alyssa felt a wave of relief. "Alright, this place is still ours."
One of her team members asked, "Alyssa, your sister-in-law is incredible. Why not have her join our studio? If she did a few live streams, we'd blow up."
"Forget it. Reese is swamped. She doesn't have time for my stuff. But she did teach me a lot. She's amazing. Check out her old videos. She used to compete and caught the eye of many coaches."
"Wow, that's impressive!"
"Yeah, I didn't know at first. Lucky for me, I figured it out later."
Alyssa couldn't help but feel proud of her own cleverness.
The team member looked envious. "Your brother treats her so well. Handsome and doting? That's rare. You don't know how many guys treat their wives... Never mind. Your brother's a real catch."
After Reese and Malcolm left, he drove her to the coffee factory.
On the way, Malcolm said, "You know, you can delegate some of this stuff. You don't have to do it all yourself."
He knew Reese had been super busy and didn't want her to burn out. Plus, Grandpa wanted them to have a kid soon. Reese's health was key.
Reese patted his hand, smiling gently, a far cry from her usual fierce demeanor. "It's fine, I can handle it. It's just a shame the coffee sales are... maybe I'm the only one who likes it."
That was why she never invested in food and beverage. Tastes varied too much.
Malcolm smiled knowingly but remained silent.
As they neared their destination, Reese unbuckled her seatbelt. "You go back. I'll be done soon."
But Malcolm wasn't having it. He knew she'd be busy till evening. Since her identity was revealed, her schedule had been packed. He loved having an accomplished wife, but he wanted more time together.
He needed a way for them to not just live together but work together too.
"I'll stay with you. You won't be long."
Reese wanted to laugh. She turned and snuggled into Malcolm's arms, hugging his waist. Her voice softened, almost playful. "Go back. We'll see each other tonight. No rush."
Malcolm's clinginess was unexpected. Who would've guessed the president of the Flynn Group could be so needy? It was almost amusing.
"It's okay. I just want to be with you."
Malcolm's tone was firm, so Reese relented. "Alright, I'll finish quickly, and then we'll leave."
Sometimes, Reese didn't know how to handle her clingy husband. But his presence gave her a sense of security. Malcolm's love was enough.
Inside, Malcolm assisted Reese with her work. A nearby employee was recording the coffee stock but couldn't help glancing at Malcolm.
"Note this down," Reese pointed to the date, but the employee didn't respond. Only then did Reese notice her gaze.
