Chapter 450 Are You Questioning Me?

Reese was still unaware of the situation at this moment, and Malcolm had no intention of telling her. If she found out that Alexander was scheming against her behind her back, she would feel hurt, even if she didn't show it.

However, it didn't matter. Malcolm would do everything in his power to protect Reese. If he couldn't, then he would face it with her.

He had once said that he would protect her no matter what, and he wouldn't go back on his word.

Justin genuinely admired Mr. Flynn. Not only was he an outstanding person with excellent work capabilities, but he was also so good to his wife. If Justin were a woman, he would fall in love with Mr. Flynn too.

"Mr. Flynn, I'll get right on it," Justin replied.

After hanging up the phone, Justin quickly organized the company's schedule and sent a timetable to Malcolm. After reviewing it, Malcolm postponed everything he could and then told Justin to work overnight.

When Justin received the news, he almost fainted. Why did Mr. Flynn's revenge for his wife have to involve him, an innocent assistant?

Mr. Flynn wanted to be a hero, but dragging Justin into working overtime with no credit was too much.

Being an assistant was hard, but being Mr. Flynn's assistant was even harder.

There was no choice. As an employee, Justin had to comply with whatever demands the boss made.

Justin sent back a cheerful emoji, trying to appear lively, but only he knew how unhappy he truly was.

Malcolm had been working overtime for several days and hadn't returned to the Flynn family home. Reese was busy with her own affairs, trying to develop a new project. If it succeeded, it could elevate the company's status.

However, Alexander quickly noticed Malcolm's actions.

When Alexander heard that Malcolm was aggressively trying to take over his project, he nearly trashed his office. Although he didn't, none of the items on his desk were spared. "Is Malcolm insane? Why isn't he focusing on his own company and instead competing with me?"

The assistant instinctively took a step back, especially seeing Alexander's current rage, fearing he might become collateral damage.

Seeing the assistant's silence, Alexander grew even more furious and roared, "Say something!"

The assistant finally stammered, "You caused trouble for his wife, so it's normal for him to retaliate."

As soon as the assistant finished speaking, Alexander shot him a cold glare and said through gritted teeth, "So you're saying it's my fault?"

"I didn't mean that..." the assistant added.

"Isn't that exactly what you meant? I caused trouble behind his back, so he has every right to retaliate, right?" Alexander asked.

The assistant wanted to nod but held back due to Alexander's intimidating presence.

Seeing the assistant's demeanor, Alexander grew even more annoyed.

He irritably waved his hand. "Forget it, it's better if you don't speak."

Hearing this only made him more frustrated.

The assistant stood silently by.

Alexander paced angrily around the room, trying to figure out how to solve this problem. He couldn't afford to lose the project, as who knew how many more Malcolm would seize.

Alexander couldn't sit idly by and had to take action.

Since Malcolm wouldn't back down, Alexander decided to seek Aiden's help. After all, the Hawthorne family had some influence in Atlanta, and Aiden wouldn't completely ignore that. Besides, the Flynn family didn't necessarily have to secure this project.

Even without this project, the Flynn Group wouldn't suffer much loss.

Alexander turned to his assistant and ordered, "Prepare the car. We're going to the Flynn family."

The assistant said nothing. This was definitely inviting trouble.

However, Alexander wouldn't listen to his assistant anyway in such a foul mood. So, they had no choice but to go.

Alexander headed to the Flynn family without informing Aiden in advance, fearing that if Malcolm found out, he might prevent Aiden from meeting him.

Aiden was sitting in the hall, listening to Jason report Malcolm's activities over the past few days since he hadn't returned.

Similarly, Reese hadn't returned either.

Aiden was furious and slammed the table. "What is wrong with the couple? Did they plan it? It's one thing if one doesn't come back, but both of them? Do they think the Flynn family is a hotel?"

Jason, standing by, tried to calm Aiden down. "Mr. Flynn, Malcolm and Reese are busy with work. You should be happy about that."

Aiden looked at Jason, puzzled and angrily said, "Happy? They've been married for how long and still haven't had a child. Work shouldn't affect my chances of having a grandchild."

Jason dared not speak.

It seemed Aiden was gradually accepting Reese. The point was, even if he didn't, there was nothing he could do given Malcolm's firm stance.

But Reese was indeed hard to control. She was fearless and had even stood up to Aiden when she first married into the family, something no one had ever dared to do.

Servants later gossiped that anyone who dared to provoke Reese would face her wrath, even if it were God himself.

Indeed, Reese had that kind of personality.

Just then, a servant walked in. "Mr. Flynn, Mr. Hawthorne is here to see you."

Aiden pondered for a moment and asked, "Which son of the Hawthorne family?"

"It seems to be Alexander," the servant replied.

Given the distinct personalities of the three masters of the Hawthorne family and its reputation in the industry, Aiden could roughly guess Alexander's purpose for coming.

What must be faced could not be avoided.

"Let him in, and prepare some coffee," Aiden said.

"Yes." Jason whispered to Aiden, "Mr. Flynn, Alexander is probably here about Reese."

"I know, but that's not all." Aiden was aware of Malcolm's recent actions, and it was only natural for the Hawthorne family to seek an explanation.

Alexander was soon brought in by the servant. "Mr. Flynn, sorry to intrude."

Aiden greeted Alexander warmly with a friendly smile. "Please, have a seat."

After Alexander sat down, the servant brought in coffee. "Mr. Hawthorne, please enjoy."

"Thank you," Alexander said.

Aiden remained silent, maintaining a calm and unhurried demeanor.

Seeing Aiden's composure, Alexander couldn't help but think that the older generation truly had more experience.

It seemed he had to speak first.

"Mr. Flynn, here's the situation. Malcolm is trying to take over my project for the sake of Reese. While there are industry rules, what he's doing seems a bit out of line. How do you think of it?"

Aiden smiled warmly, but his voice carried a hint of authority. "Mr. Hawthorne, are you questioning me?"
