Chapter 539 Let Him Be Hoist with His Own Petard

Otis's face changed instantly, and even Carol's eyes widened in shock as she stared at Malcolm. They were all taken aback by Malcolm's ruthlessness.

Otis realized then that Malcolm was not someone to mess with. Swallowing his pride, he begged, "Please, spare Carol. She had nothing to do with Reese's eyes."

Malcolm's smile was cold and cruel. "Can you honestly say you didn't harm Reese's eyes? Your drug is toxic. If it goes deep enough, it could mean removing the eyeball, leaving her blind for life!"

Otis was stunned that Malcolm had figured out the drug's effects so quickly. This guy was no joke.

Just by looking at Malcolm's commanding presence, they knew they had messed with the wrong person. Otis was momentarily speechless, the gravity of the situation hitting him hard.

Carol sat in the corner, blood everywhere. The warehouse reeked of it, but Malcolm didn't even flinch, like he was used to this.

Otis glanced at Carol, worried. If she lost her eyes, she'd be useless. Suddenly, he dropped to his knees before Malcolm. "Please, don't do this to her. Take me instead. I'll do anything you want."

Malcolm's smile was merciless. "You two destroyed many families while working at 107. Money blinded you to right and wrong, even harming a seven-year-old. That child survived, but his eyes were blinded. Maybe it's time you paid with your own eyes, don't you think?"

These were the findings Malcolm had Justin dig up. Otis and Carol weren't hard to track, but their actions were hard to stomach. Malcolm didn't care about the rest; it was too awful.

Malcolm's words left Otis speechless. Their past sins were undeniable. Regret was pointless now. The only option was to leave 107 and seek redemption.

Malcolm turned to Justin. "Take them away. As for Otis, he was involved in a murder case. Gather the evidence and hand it to the police. He can spend his life repenting in prison."

Otis clenched his fists, his face twisted in disbelief. Malcolm's intense ruthlessness caught him off guard. "Why are you doing this? The authorities ignored it. Why do you have to interfere?" he shouted.

Malcolm shot Otis a look of pure contempt, like he was dealing with a bug. "It's not that the cops didn't care; they just couldn't find you."

"You..."

Otis was at a loss for words. He'd seen Malcolm's skills firsthand—his perfect aim, his physical prowess. Otis thought he was good, but next to Malcolm, he felt like an amateur. Atlanta had some hidden talents, and it looked like he wouldn't get to see more of them.

Otis knew fighting Malcolm was pointless, like fighting a losing battle. He'd already knelt, but Malcolm still wouldn't let them go. What else could he do but accept his fate?

Before Justin took him away, Otis asked Malcolm one last question. "Who are you?"

"Reese's husband." Malcolm didn't mention his titles or his family. This time, he was just standing up for his wife.

Reese's suffering wouldn't be for nothing. Otis and Carol were getting what they deserved. They'd done too much wrong in their youth, and now it was payback time.

After Justin handled everything, he asked Malcolm, "Mr. Flynn, what about Vincent?"

"No rush. Tell that kid he can see the light again," Malcolm said.

Thinking about the child who'd lost his parents and ended up scavenging because of Carol and Otis, Justin felt it was only fair they pay for their harm.

"That kid will appreciate this one day," Justin said. Then he chuckled, "If they hadn't messed with Mrs. Flynn, maybe their old age wouldn't be so rough."

Malcolm wasn't doing this for himself; he was standing up for Reese.

Justin remembered a saying: "I'm not here to reason with you; I'm here to stand up for my kid."

Malcolm was that kind of person. Vincent's turn was coming. His fate depended on Malcolm's mood.

Malcolm rested his arm on the chair's armrest, looking regal even in a warehouse. "Justin, tell Vincent that Reese is in the hospital, fighting for her life. Use Otis's phone, get a voice changer, or find someone who can mimic Otis."

Justin was puzzled. "Why do you want Otis to keep contacting Vincent?"

"Think about it. If he knows Reese is badly hurt but still alive, what will he do?"

"He'll go to the hospital to finish her off," Justin replied. Vincent's plan was to eliminate Reese, provoke Malcolm, and take control of the Flynn family.

But in Vincent's current state, even if he took over, it wouldn't matter. He wouldn't care about Aiden, and he might eliminate other family members too.

Malcolm's eyes gleamed. "So, letting him dig his own grave is even better."
