Chapter 472 Honey, I Love You
Reese said, "This is something we can't avoid. Since it's the Flynn Group's responsibility, we have to do our best to meet their demands. If we can compensate more, we should."
Otherwise, if this issue blew up, given the current state of the Flynn Group, it wouldn't end well.
Justin nodded. "I understand, Mrs. Flynn. Don't worry, I'll handle the rest."
Reese began typing rapidly on the computer, entering some code that Justin couldn't understand. Her skilled hands moved so fast; it was the first time Justin had seen Reese blatantly hack into someone else's system with such calmness.
Could she really succeed? That place was different from the simple systems in some companies. Talented people might manage it with some effort, but this wasn't an ordinary place.
Justin couldn't grasp the subsequent operations, though they appeared highly professional. Reese's rapid keystrokes made him question his own abilities. How could others type so fast? Even while assisting Malcolm with research, he had never felt so inadequate.
However, seeing Reese, he felt like a novice.
He couldn't help but ask, "Mrs. Flynn, how did you train to type so fast?"
Reese replied, "Just practiced. Nothing special, maybe it's natural."
Justin chuckled. "You're really modest."
Nothing special, maybe it's natural. Low impact, yet deeply insulting.
Although Reese indeed had great potential in this area, even a rare talent, this place wasn't something anyone could break into.
Justin thought Reese must have spent a lot of time on this. But when she pressed the last space bar, the screen immediately switched to a small room showing Malcolm.
He almost thought he was seeing things and looked at Reese in shock. "Mrs. Flynn, is it done?"
Reese said, "Yes, it's done. But if you have any questions in the next few days, you should ask him directly. We can't keep hacking into their system; they'll investigate if it happens too often."
Justin nodded repeatedly. "Of course. But Mrs. Flynn, how did you do it? I've never heard of anyone breaking into this place's system. If they find out, it'll be on the news tomorrow."
Reese uttered, "Doesn't matter, as long as we achieve our goal."
However, in this situation, they could only watch. Conversation was risky, as they were always under surveillance. Any slip-up could spell trouble for Malcolm.
She managed just two light taps on the table, yet Malcolm swiftly noticed and glanced towards the camera
Reese had no other way but to watch from afar. If the person guarding Malcolm left, she could talk to him.
However, that seemed impossible.
Malcolm stared at the camera for a few seconds, then addressed the guard outside. "Could I have some water, please?"
The guard said, "Wait a moment."
Since Malcolm was only under investigation and given his status, the people here didn't dare to neglect him. His request wasn't too much, so they agreed.
Reese's heart skipped a beat, a slight smile of triumph on her lips. As expected of her husband, they were so in sync.
It seemed he knew the sound was from her.
After the person gone, Malcolm spoke first, "Honey, is that you?"
Reese asked, "How did you know it was me?"
Malcolm's eyes were full of smiles, completely different from his cold demeanor when speaking to the guard. "Of course, you should know whose wife you are. Between us, there's nothing you can hide from me."
Justin watched in a daze, wondering if these two spent all their time building such a strong connection. With this level of understanding, Malcolm must have put in a lot of effort.
Reese agreed. She and Malcolm understood each other well, drawn by an inexplicable attraction. She couldn't explain it.
Maybe it was fate from a past life that brought them together in this one.
Reese got to the point. "Regarding the Flynn Group's situation, you should know it's all Vincent's doing. I'll investigate this. Stay inside for a few days. If you don't come out, Vincent will get anxious and make mistakes, revealing more."
Malcolm quickly understood. "Go ahead, don't worry."
Reese knew this was a critical time and couldn't chat with Malcolm for long. She had to focus on key points. "Honey, I miss you."
Justin realized they were about to exchange sweet words and decided to leave to give them privacy. He quietly left the study and closed the door for Reese.
Malcolm was surprised to hear such affectionate words from Reese, given her usual demeanor. It wasn't easy to get her to say such things before. Now, hearing these sweet words was rare.
He yearned to be with his beloved, to demonstrate his affection.
But it was okay. Once Malcolm was out, he would make it up to her.
He could only say, "Honey, when I get out, I won't let you down."
Reese found his words quite suggestive. "I have to go. If the guard comes back, we'll be discovered."
Malcolm said, "Honey, I love you."
Reese also said, "Love you more."
Although Justin couldn't hear clearly from outside, he sensed a shift in the atmosphere within.
Reese logged out of the system, stood up, yawned, and was about to check if Calvin had arrived.
As she grabbed the doorknob, she saw Calvin standing at the door with coffee. Both he and Justin looked awkward. Reese immediately realized. "Were you two eavesdropping?"
Justin scratched his head awkwardly. "We just happened to hear."
