Alexander was furious.

"Alexander came today," Alyssa replied.
Reese frowned. "What did he come for?"
"What else could he come for? He wants you to leave the Flynn family," Alyssa added.

Alyssa was surprised by Reese's reaction. "Reese, why aren't you angry?"
Reese raised an elegant eyebrow. "Why should I be angry?"
"Well... wouldn't a normal person be angry?" Alyssa was confused.
"It's not worth it for someone who doesn't matter," Reese explained.
She never bothered with people who had nothing to do with her or who liked to cause her trouble. It was a complete waste of time.
Alyssa couldn't help but look at Reese with admiration. "No wonder you're my idol. I think the same. People like Alexander aren't worth paying attention to. What nonsense he was talking, asking Grandpa Aiden to kick you out of the Flynn family. He's too naive."
Reese's cold eyes grew even darker at these words, but Alyssa, caught up in her excitement, didn't notice.
"What else did he say?" Reese asked.
"He said you were too impulsive and that the Flynn family couldn't control you. He also said you didn't deserve Malcolm and wanted to introduce another woman to him. I wanted to spit in his face. How dare Alexander slander you?"
Alyssa couldn't find anyone else with a temperament as similar to Malcolm's.
Reese sneered. "He said that?"

Alyssa was so excited recalling Alexander's expression that she couldn't stop talking. "And Grandpa Aiden really surprised me today. You wouldn't believe he defended you and had Jason kick your brother out."
This indeed surprised Reese. She didn't expect Aiden to defend her. He should have disliked her a lot.
She didn't think she was particularly likable. Her temper wasn't good, her personality was solitary, and she couldn't be controlled by anyone, which made people feel she was hard to deal with. Nowadays, people liked those who were easy to control. Otherwise, it made them feel insecure.
However, she didn't like being controlled, which made Reese feel insecure.
Aiden, sitting at the head of the table, listened to Alyssa's chatter, recounting how he defended Reese. He grew darker and coughed lightly, holding his utensils. "Who told you to talk so much?"
Alyssa knew Aiden was embarrassed and quickly shut her mouth.
Reese felt that no matter what, she should thank Aiden because he had preserved her dignity.
If Alexander thought that the Flynn familyand her relatives didn't respect her either, she would indeed be a laughingstock.

Reese sincerely said to Aiden, "Thank you, Grandpa Aiden."

Reese smiled bitterly. "It's not that I don't want to flatter. It's just that life is already hard enough, and I don't want to make it harder for myself."
Rather than waste time on unnecessary things, she preferred to work on a few more projects and make more money, which was more meaningful.
Aiden agreed with Reese's words. "It's good that you have this realization. But don't misunderstand my intentions. Helping you today doesn't mean I've accepted you. No matter what, you're part of the Flynn family. The Hawthorne family may not recognize their kin, but they shouldn't meddle in the Flynn family's affairs."
Alyssa chuckled and nudged Reese's shoulder. "Reese, Grandpa Aiden won't admit it, but he really protects his family. If anyone dares to mess with the Flynn family, even God wouldn't be able to stop Grandpa Aiden. So in this way, you're quite similar to the members of the Flynn family with similar personalities."
Everly happened to walk in at this moment and heard Alyssa's words, feeling displeased. "Alyssa, you don't seem like a member of the Flynn family. You seem more like one of theBrooks family. Why don't you change your last name?"
Then Everly paused, as if having an epiphany. "No, you should be a member of the Hawthorne family."

Alyssa made a throat-slitting gesture towards Everly as a warning.
Everly was really pissed Reese off today.
The next second, Reese walked towards Everly. Each step felt like a heavy weight on Everly's heart. She watched Reese's bloodthirsty and angry face and instinctively stumbled back a few steps.
Even though Reese hadn't yet made a move, it was enough to scare Everly into silence.
Reese finally stood in front of her, her cold eyes flashing with a moment of murderous intent. Before Everly could react, Reese's hand suddenly gripped Everly's throat, and Everly's pupils contracted sharply.
