Chapter 370 Who Said There Was No Beating

Sebastian yelled out to them, "No, I provoked her."

Sebastian watched the backs of Reese and Malcolm leaving, shouting loudly, but no one paid any attention to him.

After Lucius saw Reese and the others leave, he also felt puzzled and teased Sebastian.

Lucius teased, "I say, Sebastian of the Hawthorne family, did you offend our Reese before? I've known her for so long, but it's the first time I've seen her talk to someone so aggressively."

Sebastian was also confused and awkwardly scratched his head, and said, "It's my first time meeting her, what do you think?"

Lucius was speechless, replying, "I can only say that you and our Reese don't vibe."

Sebastian remarked, "Why do I feel like Reese is usually like this, with an unfriendly demeanor to strangers."

From the moment Sebastian saw Reese, he felt that this woman was not easy to get along with, with a strong aura, especially those eyes and brows, as cold as an ice cellar.

Lucius waved his hand, and said, "You're wrong about that. Although Reese is not easy to approach, she's not as explosive as she was just now. I dare not provoke her."

Sebastian rubbed his chin, saying, "It's the first time I've been rebuffed by a woman, but her driving skills are indeed impressive. Do you really not know where she learned them?"

Lucius shook his head.

He offered, "I'll give you money." Sebastian thought Lucius knew but didn't want to tell him.

Lucius stared at Sebastian with the same disdainful look as Reese.

Lucius remarked, "Now I know why Reese dislikes you so much, because you are indeed quite unpleasant, thinking you're all that just because you have a few bucks?"

Not only did Lucius not know, but even if he did, he wouldn't tell Sebastian.

Although they were at the bottom of society, not everything revolved around money for them.

Sebastian also looked down on Lucius, thinking that any problem that could be solved with money was not a problem at all.

Sebastian said, "Never mind, it's pointless to ask you."

After saying that, Sebastian turned to his assistant to leave. Just as he was about to get in the car, Lucius added one more thing.

Lucius reminded him, "Don't show up here again in the future. It's not just me who doesn't want you here. Reese also made it clear that she really can't stand you."

Sebastian almost threw a bottle at Lucius.

Sebastian demanded, "Can you shut up?"

Must he keep bringing up how much Reese dislikes him?

Lucius watched Sebastian leave. At first, he found this rich second-generation guy quite annoying, but now he realized he might not be that bad after all.

At least he wasn't the kind of person who went back on his word, willing to admit defeat, proving that his character was still good.

After Sebastian returned, the more he thought about it, the more upset he became. He turned to his assistant, Leonard Hastings.

Sebastian asked, "Why does she hate me so much?"

Leonard didn't know either, but he didn't dare to provoke Sebastian again, so he replied cautiously.

Leonard wondered aloud, "Could it be true what they said, Sebastian, did you really offend that woman?"

Sebastian immediately slapped Leonard on the head.

Sebastian replied angrily, "Are you out of your mind? I've never even met that woman. How could I have offended her?"

Leonard scratched his head in frustration, and replied, "Then I really don't know why she's so hostile towards you."

At this moment, Stephen Hawthorne returned and overheard Sebastian complaining inside.

Stephen asked, "What's wrong with you? Didn't I ask you to study at the company? Why did you go out to play again?"

Sebastian explained, "Forget it, Dad, I met a woman today whose driving skills are even better than mine, and she's quite arrogant. She seems to have a special animosity towards me, but I don't know where I offended her."

Stephen remarked snidely, "You offend people when you go out, isn't that normal? I asked you to learn from Malcolm at the company, but all you do is play outside all day."

Stephen was disappointed with Sebastian, among his sons, Sebastian was the most playful, all spoiled by his mother.

Sebastian was not in the mood to listen to his father's nagging now.

He asked Stephen, "Oh, Dad, do you know Malcolm's wife? The one he just married recently, Reese."

When Stephen heard this name, he was first stunned, then his face changed.

Stephen repeated and asked, "You're talking about Reese?"

Sebastian exclaimed, "Oh my god! Dad, you know that woman!"

Sebastian was shocked as if he had heard something incredible, almost jumping out of his chair.

Stephen frowned, his face somewhat solemn.

Stephen replied, "Of course I know her."

Sebastian explained, "It's her, she's incredibly skilled at driving, so arrogant in front of me, and particularly hostile towards me. Wait a minute..."

At this point, Sebastian seemed to realize something and looked at Stephen in confusion, and said, "Dad, could it be that you guys offended her?"

So now the retribution fell on Sebastian's head.

Stephen sat down slowly and sighed softly.

Stephen revealed, "It's possible, she's your sister."

"Oh my god... Dad, what are you talking about?! Whose sister?" Sebastian questioned and looked at Stephen in shock.

Stephen didn't really want to bring up this matter, but after so many years, Reese unexpectedly appeared in front of them, and some things were probably unavoidable.

However, Reese was no longer the same backwoods kid she used to be.

Stephen explained, "Reese is the daughter I had with another woman, but because of your mother, we didn't bring her back."

Also, the Hawthorne family had a bit of a bias towards males, thinking that women were not as good as men, but clearly, this daughter of his was a bit unexpected.

Sebastian still couldn't believe it. His lips were trembling when he spoke.

"She's... really my sister?" Sebastian asked.

"You just said it yourself, that she has a great animosity towards you. Just as I received the news, Nolan had already told her about Reese's background."

Sebastian was puzzled, and asked, "If that's the case, why doesn't she come to us?"

Stephen sneered, "With her current abilities, she doesn't need to rely on the Hawthorne family. Besides, her husband Malcolm is not a simple person. Not only is he the president of the Flynn Group, he has other identities as well.

"He's not inferior to Reese at all. The two of them together are a strong alliance. If they really oppose our Hawthorne family in the future, we might not necessarily be fit to be their match."

Reese really knows how to choose her partners, just like her mother.

Sebastian was so amazed that he could fit an egg in his mouth as his jaw dropped, saying, "Oh my god, is Reese really that amazing? No wonder she's so good at driving.

"You have no idea, she's like my idol, although she's really arrogant, I've never met anyone more conceited than me."

Stephen mocked Sebastian, "Is that conceit? That's talent. You, without talent, that's conceit."

Sebastian couldn't be bothered to argue with Stephen. After all, being looked down upon by his own family wasn't something new.

Sebastian's focus now was on the fact that Reese was his sister.

He said, "So, Dad, when are we going to bring my sister back? I want her to teach me driving skills."

Stephen scoffed, "Bring her back? You must be dreaming. Do you think your sister is easy to deal with? If she saw you today and didn't beat you up, that's already good."

Stephen had heard a lot of rumors about Reese recently. His daughter was quite extraordinary now, beyond the control of ordinary people.

But with Reese's current achievements, if they could really bring her back, it would be quite advantageous for them. However, with Reese's current personality, it might not be easy.

Sebastian scratched his head awkwardly and muttered to himself, "Who said I haven't been beaten up?"
