Chapter 34 Who Dares to Step Up

Justin was floored, totally taken aback by how Malcolm was blowing this up.

He tried to calm him down. "Mr. Flynn, isn't this a bit overboard? A small lesson should do the trick."

Malcolm shot him a look that could cut glass.

"Say one more word of nonsense, and you're out of here tomorrow."

Justin gulped and nodded. "I'll handle it right away!"

After leaving Malcolm's office, Reese ducked into the nearby storage room. Her once clear eyes now burned with a deadly intent.

She dialed Calvin's number, her beautiful face as cold as ice.

"Dig up dirt on a guy called Mack. By noon tomorrow, I want him bankrupt!"

Calvin didn't get why Reese was suddenly on the warpath, but he knew one thing for sure that Reese was pissed. Mack must've really stepped in it.

But making someone go broke? Easy peasy for them.

"Anyone who messes with you is toast. Just wait till tomorrow."

Reese hung up, a cold smile playing on her lips. She was eager to see who'd be the first to crack.

As she walked past Everly's office, she heard the sound of stuff being smashed. Looked like Everly was throwing a tantrum because her plan had flopped. Reese just kept walking, unfazed.

Everly had nearly trashed everything on her desk. Not only did Reese come back without a scratch, but she also didn't get any punishment. Malcolm's favoritism was off the charts.

What kind of black magic did this witch have to make him fall for her like this?

He used to spoil her the most, putting up with all her fits. But ever since Reese joined the Flynn family, everything changed. He didn't care about her anymore; his eyes were glued to Reese.

Why!

Susan, seeing Everly so mad, tried to calm her down. "Miss Flynn, please stop. Don't be angry. Maybe Reese just got lucky."
"It's not luck, it's..." Everly suddenly stopped, then she continued inwardly, ‘It's Malcolm playing favorites. How does a girl from the sticks waltz into the Flynn family, join the company, and get Malcolm's favor just like that?’

Seeing her hesitate, Susan's curiosity got the better of her. "Does Reese have some kind of secret background?"

Everly shot her a look that could kill, making Susan shrink back.

"Sorry, Miss Flynn, I just want to help you out."

"If you really want to help, then find a way to get Reese out of the company."

But even if she got Reese out of the company, Reese would still be in the Flynn family.

Reese must've used some kind of black magic to charm Malcolm.

Suddenly, Everly had an idea and stood up. "You handle the rest. I'm outta here."

"Yes, ma'am."

When Reese got back to the Flynn Villa, she was hit by a strange smell as soon as she walked in. Then she heard Everly yelling at two servants.

"Tie up this seductress!"

The two servants stepped forward but hesitated, remembering how Alyssa had suffered last time.

Reese wasn't about to let herself get caught. As the two servants moved to grab her, Reese's calm gaze turned razor-sharp, freezing them in their tracks.

Seeing them hesitate, Everly lost it and screamed.

"She's just one woman! What are you scared of? Get her!"

The servants, caught between a rock and a hard place, reluctantly moved forward. Reese stood her ground, but the aura she gave off made everyone around her feel like they were walking on thin ice.

"I warn you, if you don't want to be thrown out by me, don't touch me!"

But what could the servants do? They couldn't afford to piss off Everly either. They pretended to charge at her, but before they could even lay a finger on Reese, she grabbed one of their wrists. A loud crack was followed by a piercing scream.

"Ah... it hurts, it hurts, my hand is about to break!"
Seeing her companion in such agony, the other servant froze, too scared to make a move.

Everly barked at the two servants again. "All of you, get her together!"

A minute later, those servants were all sprawled on the ground, groaning in pain.

Everly looked at the chaos, a room full of people, yet not one could get close to Reese.

She was shaking with rage, pointing a trembling finger at Reese.

"You seductress, how dare you fight back? Do you think you can turn the Flynn family upside down?"

Reese's eyes sparkled with a hidden edge.

"You ordered the attack first. I was just defending myself. You’re like Alyssa, need a lesson in manners. Since you don't know any, I'll reluctantly teach you today."

Before Everly could react, Reese moved so fast she was a blur. In an instant, Everly's hands were restrained, and she was dragged to a chair. Reese somehow found a rope and had her tied up in no time.

By the time Everly realized what was happening, she was already bound to the chair. She struggled in panic, glaring daggers at Reese.

"Reese, how dare you tie me up? Who gave you the guts to do this?"

"I just wanna teach you some respect. Stop calling me a seductress. You should know my name."

Reese stood firm, and no one around dared to move. The servants stood by, only able to watch, too scared to provoke her again.

Everly had never been treated like this before. She shook the chair violently, her hair a mess, her eyes blazing with fury. She screamed at the stunned servants.

"Are you all dead? Come to untie me!"

Two servants, trembling, tried to approach, but Reese's voice cut through the air.

"If any of you take one step closer, I'll break her hand."

The two servants exchanged terrified glances, not daring to move forward.

Everly, her face turning red with rage, could only curse at Reese, her voice shaking with anger.
"Reese, before Malcolm and Grandpa get back, you better untie me, or you'll be in big trouble when they return!"

Reese looked unfazed, even raising an eyebrow at Everly with a smirk.

"Sure, go ahead and tell Malcolm. Let's see if he sides with me or you."

Everly was livid. "You useless bunch, are you just going to let Reese tie me up? Untie me now, or you'll all be out of the Flynn Villa tomorrow."

Her voice was hoarse from all the yelling, but no one dared to move.

Reese bent down, looking at Everly's twisted face.

"Realizing your mistakes yet?"

Everly was truly uncomfortable being tied up, and her throat was dry. Realizing her situation, she softened her tone.

"I was wrong. Please untie me."

"Am I a seductress? You know better than I do. Have you ever seen such an ugly seductress?"

She smirked self-deprecatingly.

Everly was genuinely amazed. She had seen people insult themselves, but never someone who could call themselves ugly so casually.

"If you're not a seductress, how could you make Malcolm treat you so well? He used to cater to my every whim. Ever since you came into this house, he barely has time to talk to me."

Thinking about this, Everly's hatred for Reese grew. No one had ever dared to defy her since she was a child. Why did Reese take her place in Malcolm's heart as soon as she appeared?

Reese found her thoughts a bit unreasonable. To put it bluntly, it was just a strong sense of possessiveness.

"So you think that even after Malcolm got married, he should still revolve around you, cater to your every whim, and have eyes and heart only for you? Then where does that leave me, his wife?"

Everly snorted, "That's none of my business."

"Okay, let me make it clear today. Malcolm is my husband now. His body, his heart, should be mine. You're his sister. If you have any other thoughts about him, you better put them away. It won't end well."

With one look, Reese easily saw through Everly's thoughts.
