Chapter 491: Let's See How You Defeat Them

The next morning, Reese woke up wanting to freshen up, only to find Malcolm's hand still on her waist. She smiled; Malcolm had been holding her since they had fallen asleep. No matter how she moved, he always had to hold her to feel secure.

Reese felt sticky and uncomfortable in the heat. Did Malcolm feel the same?

Reese had seen clingy girls before, but never a guy this clingy.

Finally managing to move Malcolm's hand from her waist, she started to get up, but he reached out again, pulling her back into his arms.

Probably because he had just woken up, Malcolm's voice was deep and magnetic.

"Honey, stay with me a bit longer."

"I have things to do later, you sleep by yourself."

"No way, I like sleeping with you."

Malcolm held Reese tightly, refusing to let go.

At that moment, there was a commotion outside, followed by a scream.

"Reese..."

Before Reese and Malcolm could react, the door flew open. Alyssa saw the two of them in bed, in a rather compromising position...

Alyssa quickly turned around, feeling extremely embarrassed.

"Sorry, I... I thought you were already awake."

Alyssa's shout completely woke Malcolm up. He frowned, clearly displeased.

"Alyssa, if you keep being so rude, I'll have to ask Grandpa to find you a boyfriend sooner and get you married off."

Alyssa shook her head urgently at the mention of marriage.

"I'm sorry, Malcolm. I didn't mean to. Please forgive me this time. All my focus is on my career right now, I don't want to date."

Malcolm sneered, "Is your focus really on your career, or just gaming? Look at how people talk about you. At the age when you should be thinking about marriage, you're just playing games all day. What kind of behavior is that?"

Alyssa rarely saw Malcolm talk so much. She raised her voice, "You're just mad because I interrupted you and Reese, so you want to get back at me by finding me a boyfriend. This is personal revenge."

"Seems like gaming has some benefits. At least your IQ has improved enough to see that I'm getting back at you."

Malcolm teased Alyssa. He actually liked her personality the most because it was interesting, and most importantly, Alyssa never had any bad intentions.

Alyssa herself also hated scheming people.

Reese watched the two of them banter and thought if they kept going, it would be noon soon.

She lifted the blanket and got up, walking over to Alyssa. "You came in so excitedly, what's the matter? Don't tell me there's another accident at your studio?"

"Speaking of accidents, there is one. Someone came to challenge us, claiming to be a former professional player who helped their team win many championships. They want to challenge our best player."

Reese crossed her arms and nodded thoughtfully.

"They want to open a studio next to yours, right?"

Alyssa's eyes widened. "Reese, you're amazing. You guessed it."

"I remember passing by your place last time. There was an empty building next to it. And your location is great. Your studio is doing well, so naturally, people are envious. Two strong competitors can't coexist. You know this better than I do."

Alyssa admired Reese even more after hearing her analysis. She smiled ingratiatingly, as if seeing her last hope.

"I knew it was right to come to you. Sometimes I even think you're more useful than Malcolm. If Malcolm handled this, he'd probably buy the building next door so those people have nowhere to rent."

Reese chuckled, "Isn't that great? Simple and direct."

Reese agreed with Malcolm's straightforward approach. It saved time compared to all the scheming.

But Alyssa didn't agree.

"I think that's boring. You don't know how arrogant they are. They look down on our studio members, even though they've worked so hard. And we haven't even played against them. Why do they think they're superior?"

Alyssa thought of the arrogant man and felt angrier the more she thought about it.

Reese put a hand on Alyssa's shoulder, a mischievous smile on her lips.

"So in situations like this, we should use our strength to show them who's boss!"

The outcome didn't matter, but the process had to be satisfying, especially when dealing with arrogant people.

Alyssa was thrilled by Reese's words. "Are you going to take them on yourself?"

Reese hadn't played games in a long time and had been busy lately.

But today, she felt a bit interested. Since someone wanted to challenge them, why not play along?

Reese's bright, confident eyes showed a hint of excitement.

"They said they're from a team, right? I probably know them. Let's see who it is."

Alyssa clenched her fists, full of excitement.

"Great, Reese. With you, we can definitely win. I didn't mean to bother you, but these people are just too arrogant. You don't know, they said they could easily beat us, that we shouldn't even have a studio. They said even worse things, but I won't repeat them."

Alyssa knew she couldn't always bother Reese, who had her own things to do. But she had no choice; those people were too arrogant, driving her crazy.

Seeing Reese get up, Malcolm felt there was no point in staying in bed. He got dressed and walked over to Reese, patting her shoulder lightly.

"Honey, if you're taking them on, there's no point in fighting. They should just surrender to save some dignity."

Alyssa couldn't help but tease Malcolm when she saw his smug look.

"Malcolm, I never thought you'd be so obsessed with a woman. I thought you'd dedicate your life to your career."

After all, Malcolm used to be so aloof and proud, with a strong aura that kept others at a distance. Even girls who admired him would back away when they encountered his cold eyes.

"From now on, no matter how big the issue, knock before you come in."

Malcolm was quite annoyed with his sister. She always barged in without considering what others might be doing. It was lucky she hadn't walked in on anything more awkward.

Alyssa pouted, feeling a bit wronged. "Okay, got it. But you guys should control yourselves too. I don't even have a boyfriend yet."

Then she quickly changed her tone and turned to Reese.

"Reese, I'll go now. I'll call you tomorrow."

Reese was a bit surprised. "So soon?"

She had initially expected it to take a few days, but considering Alyssa's energetic personality, it made sense. Alyssa was always energetic and couldn't slow down, always like a little sun.

Alyssa waved her phone. "I wanted to give them a couple of days, but they're too arrogant. Reese, I can honestly say, when you see them, you'll want to take them down too."

Reese thought for a moment and replied, "I can't guarantee I'll have time tomorrow. I'll check tonight. If I'm free tomorrow, I'll come to your studio."

Alyssa understood. The Flynn family had been through a lot recently. Grandpa just got out of the hospital, and Malcolm was investigated a few days ago.

She could only wait for news. She didn't understand these things at all, but luckily, there was Reese.

"Okay, Reese."

After Alyssa left, Malcolm had already donned his jacket, wearing a teasing smile.

"Honey, should I come watch you beat them tomorrow?"
