Chapter 461 Usurpation

Brandon gritted his teeth, feeling insulted, and angrily cursed. "How dare you, little girl, insult me!"

Reese, undaunted, replied, "I've already taken down your men, so why would I be afraid to insult you? Besides, with someone like you, there's no need to be polite. Want to fight again? Or do you want to call all your people over here?"

Brandon frowned. "What, you want me to call my people over just so you can beat them up? I'm telling you, young lady, you're being way too arrogant!"

"Confess honestly, and maybe you'll get lenient treatment later. If you refuse to cooperate, I'll have to use other methods, which might make you uncomfortable."

Reese was giving Brandon a chance. If he insisted on not cooperating, he couldn't blame Reese for being rude.

Reese's words were full of momentum, and Brandon was indeed scared. He looked at Reese in fear. "Who the hell are you?"

Calvin, already tired of hearing this, said, "We're here to punish you."

Brandon was almost driven mad by these two people, trembling as he pointed at Reese. "You... you better have evidence to prove I took kickbacks!"

Reese turned to Calvin and asked, "Have you gotten the information?"

"Yes, the people are on the way."

Calvin had been investigating Brandon's kickback and had almost figured it out. Brandon's downfall was imminent, and daring to get people to fight Reese was a path to self-destruction.

Hearing that someone was on the way, Brandon started to panic again.

"Who... who are you bringing over this time? You people are simply incorrigible!"

Calvin had never seen someone so shameless.

"Fine, if you're not afraid, just wait here."

Soon, two or three people walked in. Brandon saw them, his face immediately turning sour.

Reese noticed Brandon's subtle expression and couldn't help but mock him. "If we dared to come find you, we must be prepared. Taking kickbacks and then getting physical; if we call the police, I think you'll be in jail for a few years."

Hearing this, Brandon's resolve began to crumble. He hadn't expected things to escalate like this.

Two men in hats walked up to Brandon. "Mr. Tyler, we're sorry, but we had no choice. Now that you've caused a death, we really..."

Brandon immediately denied it. "I don't even know you."

"Mr. Tyler, how can you say that? We just met a few days ago, and you bought materials from us."

"When did I buy materials from you?" After saying this, he quickly realized. "I get it, you must be hired by them, right? This woman hired you to frame me."

The two men were helpless, but they didn't dare offend this person.

If they helped Brandon this time, their business would be ruined. In the face of interests, only oneself was most important.

One of the men stepped forward and said to Brandon, "She is a big shot, we can't afford to mess with her."

Brandon's face changed. "What big shot, this little girl?"

At most, she might know some martial arts. So what? No matter how skilled she was, she was not invincible.

"It seems you haven't investigated her identity. This person is not ordinary; she's the wife of Mr. Flynn of the Flynn Group and the owner of Emerald Isle."

Brandon felt like he was hearing things. "What, the owner of Emerald Isle? How is that possible? Isn't the owner a man?"

"That man is just working for her. The real boss is right here."

Brandon still couldn't believe it. "You must have investigated wrong. How could this twenty-something girl be the owner of Emerald Isle? She doesn't look like it."

"Doesn't look like it? Didn't you see the fierceness in her eyes? Is that something an ordinary girl would have?"

Brandon did notice that Reese's aura was indeed extraordinary, but it didn't mean she had such a high status, right?

The two men didn't bother explaining further. "Anyway, think it over. Don't offend her, or you'll be in big trouble."

Brandon's legs went weak after hearing their words. He was truly out of luck this time, running into her.

What to do now?

While they were at an impasse, over at the Flynn Group, Vincent had taken advantage of the situation. Justin, seeing him bring several people in, had a bad feeling.

"Mr. Flynn, what brings you to the company now?" Justin asked.

Vincent, far from his usual gentle demeanor, had a cold, chilling aura. Adjusting his glasses, his gaze was sharp as he said, "My brother is under investigation, and someone needs to take over the company. I've already called a shareholders' meeting."

Justin frowned. "Mr. Flynn, it doesn't seem appropriate. I haven't heard anything from Aiden."

Vincent's actions clearly showed he wanted to seize power, taking advantage of Malcolm's absence to claim the CEO's position at the Flynn Group. Was he overreaching?

Vincent didn't want to argue with Justin. He glared at Justin, saying, "You're just an assistant. The Flynn family's matters don't concern you!"

"But I'm Malcolm's assistant. I only listen to Malcolm. He told me to guard the Flynn Group until he returns. So, Mr. Flynn, you have no right to call a shareholders' meeting."

Justin's stance was firm, not giving an inch.

Vincent's eyes turned sinister as he gritted his teeth. "I'm also a shareholder of the Flynn Group. Why should I listen to an assistant? Move aside!"

Vincent pushed Justin aside and led his people into the conference room. Justin felt things were going terribly wrong. If Vincent succeeded, it would be a disaster.

He had no choice but to call Aiden.

"Mr. Flynn, Vincent has brought people to the company and says he wants to temporarily take over the CEO's position."

"What did you say? The company is in crisis, and he's trying to seize the CEO's position? I'll be right there..."

"Mr. Flynn, Mr. Flynn..." Jason's urgent voice suddenly came through.

Justin hurriedly asked, "Mr. Tartt, what's happened to Mr. Flynn?"
