Chapter 480 Reese Was Embarrassed

Louis could tell Reese had her own plans. No surprise—Reese was always one step ahead of trouble.

After handling the situation, Reese went back to Justin and asked him to find a way to get Malcolm in the loop if possible.

Justin suggested, "Mrs. Flynn, why don't you talk to Mr. Flynn yourself? The media hasn't been able to publish any dirt on the Flynn Group lately, so things have calmed down a bit. If you can pull some strings, you might be able to visit him. It might not be for long, but at least you can say a few words."

"Okay," Reese thought it would be good to see Malcolm since some things needed his approval.

"But... there's a tricky part. We don't know anyone in that area. The people we used to know aren't in touch anymore, and given the Flynn Group's current situation, they might not want to help."

That was Justin's dilemma. Without finding someone, his suggestion would be useless.

"That's not a big problem. I know someone."

Justin looked at Reese in surprise, "Mrs. Flynn, can you really find someone?"

"Yes, I met someone a few years ago and helped him out when he was in trouble."

Reese's calm tone made Justin's eye twitch.

Helping someone in such a position wasn't simple. Reese was indeed extraordinary.

Curiously, he asked, "Mrs. Flynn, do you know any other big shots, either in or out of the industry?"

"Which industry do you mean?"

From her tone, Justin felt he didn't need to ask. It seemed Malcolm had married into a network of connections.

Justin shook his head, "Nothing, Mrs. Flynn. Please find someone to talk to. I'll hang up now."

"Okay, I'll notify you later."

After hanging up, Reese immediately contacted her connections.

The person she contacted was a local leader who had the final say in matters. Reese could have used him to get Malcolm out earlier, but given the Flynn Group's high profile, she didn't want to trouble others.

As long as Malcolm hadn't done those things, she had a way to get him out safely.

Reese quickly called Rodolfo Knight.

Rodolfo was enthusiastic when he received Reese's call.

"Reese, what brings you to call me today? I've invited you to dinner many times, but you always said you didn't have time."

Reese smiled wryly, "I really didn't have time."

"What about today? It's almost dinner time. Can you make it?"

Rodolfo had been helped by Reese when he was framed. She had turned the situation around and cleared his name. Otherwise, he would have been in prison as a scapegoat.

Over the years, he had tried to repay Reese, but she always declined. Eventually, he let it go, assuming there would be a chance in the future.

He didn't expect the opportunity to come now.

But Reese declined, "Not today either. I do need your help with something."

It wasn't that she didn't want to accept his invitation, but she had too much on her plate: Vincent, the Flynn Group, Aiden, and her own issues. Calvin and the others were also swamped, and she didn't want to overburden them. As a leader, she had to consider their well-being.

Rodolfo sounded disappointed, "Really? I thought I finally got a chance to see you, but..."

"No worries, there will be opportunities in the future. The issue now is that my husband, the president of the Flynn Group, is being detained. I'm investigating, but I want to see him first."

"Mr. Flynn? I've heard about his situation recently, but I didn't know he was your husband. Don't worry, it's just a meeting. I'll contact the people there. You go ahead, and I'll join you later."

Reese declined Rodolfo's offer to come over, "If you can arrange it, there's no need for you to come."

"It's fine. I haven't seen you in a long time. At least let me thank you in person."

Seeing his insistence, Reese didn't argue further.

"Alright."

After hanging up, Reese messaged Justin, asking him to come with her.

Some things needed to be discussed in person to ensure smooth cooperation.

Justin quickly arrived to pick up Reese. As soon as he got in the car, he asked, "Mrs. Flynn, did you find someone?"

"Yes, I did. He's already contacted the people there. We can see Malcolm when arrive."

Justin admired Reese even more, "Mrs. Flynn, you're amazing. It seems like you know people everywhere."

"No, it's just a coincidence."

Reese was modest. She couldn't tell Justin that she knew people in almost every industry. That would sound exaggerated, and he probably wouldn't believe it.

She didn't care how others saw her. As long as she knew her own capabilities, that was enough.

Upon arrival, Reese and Justin walked inside but were stopped.

"What do you want?"

Reese replied, "I'm Reese, here to see Malcolm."

Elbert Perry didn't understand, "I don't care who you are or who you're here to see. You can't just walk in."

Justin was puzzled, "Didn't anyone inform you?"

"Why would anyone inform me?" Elbert said, looking like he understood everything, "I get it. You're trying to take a shortcut. Do you think this place is a joke? I can call the police right now and have you both arrested."

Reese frowned. It was unlikely that Rodolfo hadn't informed them. It was just a simple notification, not a difficult task.

Justin felt extremely embarrassed and didn't dare to look at Reese. He thought, 'This is bad. Reese must be feeling awkward. What should I do now?'

Justin tried to ask, "Are you sure? Can you check again? Ms. Brooks, Reese Brooks, here to see the president of the Flynn Group."

Elbert knew there was a president of the Flynn Group inside, a big shot. That's why he couldn't let anyone in. If the higher-ups found out, he'd be in trouble.

Elbert refused firmly, "I don't care who you contacted. You can't come in. Leave now!"

With no other choice, Justin turned to Reese, "Mrs. Flynn, maybe you should call that person again."
