Chapter 417 Is There a Need to Snitch?
Sophia heard the familiar voice, looked incredulous, and said, "Reese, why are you back?"
"I forgot my phone." Reese walked to her desk, opened the drawer, and took out her phone.
The female colleagues who had been bullying Sophia moments ago instantly fell silent.
Reese's deep, cold eyes swept over them, and a mocking smile appeared on her lips, both chilling and intimidating. "What, weren't you all having a lot to say just now? Why so quiet now? If you have something to say, say it now while it's after work hours."
The office fell silent; no one dared to respond. The female colleague who had been the most aggressive in provoking Sophia earlier now hung her head low, wishing she could disappear.
Reese turned to Sophia and asked, "Who was talking about you just now?"
Sophia didn't expect Reese to ask so directly. "I..."
"Point her out."
Sophia thought about what had happened earlier and felt a bit angry. She couldn't believe that if Reese hadn't forgotten her phone, she might have been bullied even worse today.
She raised her hand and pointed to the female colleague who had been gossiping about her and saying bad things about Reese.
The female colleague hung her head, her shoulders trembling, not daring to look Reese in the eye.
Reese's aura was overwhelmingly strong, enveloping the entire office and lowering the atmosphere significantly.
She walked up to the female colleague, who looked terrified, and couldn't help but mock her. "What, weren't you speaking so confidently just now? Why so quiet now?"

Reese nodded thoughtfully. "Joking, huh? You all seem to think it's okay to joke like this. How about I joke with you?"
The female colleague forced a smile but felt uneasy inside. "What kind of joke?"
"Considering you slandered a colleague and made personal attacks, maybe I'll suggest to Mr. Flynn that you find another job?"
Though Reese spoke lightly and appeared calm, her face was extremely stern, making everyone feel uneasy.
The female colleague was terrified upon hearing this. "Reese, I was wrong. Please don't tell Mr. Flynn. If you do, I'll lose my job. I promise I'll never speak ill of you again."
Reese wasn't someone who could be easily bullied, nor did she sympathize with wrongdoers.
She straightforwardly refused, "You've had your chance. It's your own fault for not cherishing it. It's time to clean up the company's bad atmosphere."
Reese was serious this time, exercising her true authority. She wanted to show these people that it wasn't that she didn't want to use her power; she just didn't find it worth her time.
But these people had gone too far, and there was no other way.
The female employees were terrified by her words.
"Is she going to snitch?"
"Does she need to? She has the authority herself. She's the wife of the head of the Flynn Group."
"Can Mr. Flynn's wife abuse her power like that?"
"She's not abusing her power. Weren't those people the ones who started bullying Sophia?"
"Are you crazy? How can you talk like that? Whose side are you on?"
Just then, Justin came downstairs and noticed the tense atmosphere as he walked in. He said, "What's going on? Isn't it after work?"
As soon as Sophia saw Justin, she spoke up. "Mr. Chabon, they were talking bad about Reese and me, and they said Reese was abusing her power."
Justin sternly said, "Have you all forgotten what Mr. Flynn said? The company has clear rules against discussing personal matters and speaking ill of colleagues behind their backs, disrupting company order. It seems you don't want to stay in the company."
The female colleague Reese had questioned earlier was now so scared that her legs were weak. She quickly explained. "Mr. Chabon, I've already apologized to Reese and Sophia. I didn't mean it."
"No one cares if you meant it or not. The fact that you said it breaks company rules. Write your resignation letter and submit it to Mr. Flynn's office."
After saying that, Justin turned and left, giving the female colleague no chance to plead.
Reese turned to Sophia and said, "Let's go."
Sophia smiled, knowing that bad people would eventually be punished. She wondered if these people would dare to speak ill of Reese again.
She nodded. "Okay."
After they left, Sophia gratefully said to Reese, "Reese, thank you so much. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have known what to do."
Reese originally didn't want to meddle in such matters, but Sophia was genuinely kind to her and loyal. She felt it wouldn't be right not to help.
"Sophia, you can't let others bully you anymore. You haven't done anything wrong. You don't even interact with them much. The more you let them think you're easy to bully, the more they'll bully you. You need to become strong and invincible so they can't do anything to you."
Sophia understood this principle. "But... I'm still scared. I'm afraid they'll retaliate. I'm alone, and I can't compete with them."
"Think about it this way. If you keep retreating, they'll keep pushing. Do you want to endure this forever?"
Reese knew Sophia's character well. She was too timid. If she weren't, she might have already found her place in the company.
Sophia didn't say anything but Reese's words made her think deeply. Indeed, she couldn't continue like this. Reese was helping her now, but what if Reese wasn't around in the future?

Reese noticed it was getting late and lightly patted Sophia's shoulder. "You should head home."

Reese frowned. She didn't expect Alexander's people to arrive just as she was leaving. It seemed unavoidable.
Sophia should have left earlier. Now that she wanted to leave, she wasn't sure if Alexander would let her go.
Alexander stepped out, dressed in a suit with meticulously groomed hair, his handsome face exuding coldness.
He walked straight up to Reese and said, "Let's see if my people have to drag you out or if you'll come willingly."
Reese wasn't unwilling to go, but Alexander's arrogance annoyed her.
She gave Alexander a disdainful look and arrogantly asked, "Do you think you and your people can do anything to me?"
