Chapter 457 Reported

Vincent got into the car but didn't drive off immediately after leaving Everly's place. His assistant asked, "Mr. Flynn, how did it go?"

"With Everly, things should be much easier for us. She's been kicked out of the Flynn family home by Malcolm and is full of resentment with nowhere to vent. She can't do anything against Malcolm, but she'll definitely go after Reese, which is essentially helping us."

The assistant was confused. "Why? Everly is no match for Reese."

Vincent sneered. "It doesn't matter. She can still waste Reese's time, giving us more time to deal with Malcolm."

"But it seems like Everly isn't of much use. She can't provide us with any substantial help."

"If she were truly useful, she would have taken Malcolm from Reese a long time ago. They've been married for a year, and Everly hasn't been able to do anything to Reese. This game was lost for her from the beginning."

From the start, Everly was destined to lose.

The assistant asked, "What should we do next?"

"Stick to the original plan."

"I'll get on it now, but I'm not sure if Malcolm will fall for it," the assistant said.

They were worried. Malcolm was cautious and perceptive. If he saw through their plan, it would all fall apart.

Vincent's eyes were serious. "That's why you need to be careful."

"Alright, I'll take care of it after I drop you off."

After dropping Vincent off, the assistant went straight to work.

The next day, Malcolm was about to take Reese to a secret base when he received a call from Justin.

"Mr. Flynn, there's a problem at the company. Someone reported issues with our project and financial fraud. The authorities are here, and the media has caught wind of it. You should come in through the back door."

Malcolm frowned. "How did it happen all of a sudden?"

"I'm not sure. It seems someone reported us, but I haven't found out who yet."

There wasn't much time to investigate.

Malcolm immediately suspected someone was causing trouble.

He could already foresee how the situation would escalate.

"Justin, send someone to investigate immediately. There must be an insider working with outsiders. Find out who it is discreetly."

Justin was worried. "Mr. Flynn, will you be detained?"

"Most likely. Although our company has never faced this before, it's standard procedure. They wouldn't come here for no reason."

Reese remained calm and said to Malcolm, "I'll investigate. You handle the company. But let me ask you one thing..."

"No," Malcolm answered Reese bluntly, "Whatever you're thinking, the answer is no."

Reese's tightly knit brows relaxed. "Good."

She had wanted to ask if Malcolm had done anything wrong, but their mutual understanding reassured her.

As long as Malcolm hadn't done anything he shouldn't have, he'd be fine. In business, few people are entirely clean.

Malcolm's confidence was surprising.

Reese collected her thoughts. "Go to the company."

"Alright, Reese, thank you for these few days."

Malcolm's eyes were filled with gratitude as he gently patted Reese's head, thankful to have such a composed and reserved wife.

Any other woman would have probably packed up and left at the first sign of trouble.

Such investigations never ended quickly. If Malcolm were taken away, who knew when he'd be back. He had many things to explain to Justin.

Reese hugged Malcolm tightly. "It's okay. Go ahead. I'll handle any problems. Malcolm, I'm waiting for you."

Malcolm, hearing Reese's gentle voice, felt a surge of anger towards the person who reported him. Now, he wouldn't see Reese for a long time.

Justin drove Malcolm to the company while Reese's gentle demeanor vanished, replaced by a fierce determination.

Whoever dared to slander her husband would pay.

Reese called Calvin, who was still half-asleep.

"Reese, what's up?"

"Wake up and find out who reported the Flynn Group. I want them to be utterly destroyed!"

Reese's voice was extremely cold, jolting Calvin awake.

"Reese, someone reported your husband's company? Who would dare?"

"Just find out. I don't know yet."

Reese couldn't pinpoint the culprit, but she was determined to find them.

"Alright, I'll get Louis and the others to help."

"Do it quickly."

If they could act fast, they might identify the person before Malcolm was taken away, clearing his name.

"Got it, Reese."

At the company entrance, chaos reigned as reporters swarmed. Justin saw Malcolm heading for the main entrance and quickly stopped him.

"Mr. Flynn, we should use the back door."

"Using the back door won't help. We'll have to face these reporters eventually. The more we avoid them, the more suspicious we look."

At this moment, it was crucial to show the reporters he had nothing to hide.

Justin nodded. "Understood."

The black car stopped at the Flynn Group's main entrance, and an eagle-eyed reporter recognized Malcolm's car, shouting, "Mr. Flynn is here."

Reporters swarmed the car, blocking it completely.

As soon as the door opened, microphones were thrust at Malcolm, with reporters bombarding him with questions.

"Mr. Flynn, what's the deal with this report? Was it an internal whistleblower?"

"Have your company's projects and financial dealings been fraudulent over the years?"

"As a leading company in the industry, how do you plan to handle this negative news, Mr. Flynn?"

Justin shielded Malcolm and addressed the reporters, "The Flynn Group will issue a statement regarding your questions. But now, we have no comments. Please make way."
